Ok, I did it. Guess what my DDs are watching over and over again at the moment?

Anyway, welcome to everyone to our healthy eating thread - trying to lose weight or just to life a healthier lifestyle (and chatting inanely along the way).

Anyone and everyone welcome, just so long as you're nice! We are not a clique and welcome newcomers, so please join us! But beware - this thread moves very fast - just leap right in

Hopefully this one will fill up particularly quickly so we can lose this rather shit title

Aw Slimey, hope you get your energy back soon. No wonder you're shattered after being so unwell for so long.

SqueezyCheesyPumpkin · 11/10/2009 22:45

daftpunk · 11/10/2009 22:50

i am doing really well on my med diet actually....i deffo eat 10 portions of fruit & veg a day...something we should all be aiming for...

plus oily fish is A1 for health

daftpunk · 11/10/2009 22:53

what the hell is wrong with you two...why no energy....this is a healthy life style thread...!

my body is always healthy...my mind wanders off a bit sometimes...

SqueezyCheesyPumpkin · 11/10/2009 23:00

Wow, hats off to you DP, that's impressive. That is the kind of inspiration I (and probably the thread) need right now

My scales are on KG just now and I'm scared to switch it back to stones and pounds, it's a denial thing.

When I see your name now I think of that story about your little boy with his fists "he might see this one but he won't see this one", PMSL

DevilsEnticeMadness · 11/10/2009 23:06

Squeezy, i find kgs far more comforting then stones. I stood on mine today and am no below 12 stone Just! progress it tis.

Blimey Punky - you'd be shocked how little fruit and veg i eat. I don't think i have actually eaten any other then odd apple all week.

Am going to have to head off as i need to be up before 6am tomo and i am tired.
Night

daftpunk · 11/10/2009 23:08

i'm gonna grab this thread by the neck and shake it hard tomorrow..

will dig out my eating for health books and get you all fit fit fit....

off to bed now...

night night

DevilsEnticeMadness · 11/10/2009 23:11

If you can find me veg that tastes of veg and not water -i will eat it. I hate the modern varieties they sell in shops and not found a good source of veg around here yet.

Fruit is fruit and i eat when in season. most not in season at the mo so I refuse to eat it. And try to buy local.

SO neah.

Night puky!
Definetly gone this time maybe

SqueezyCheesyPumpkin · 11/10/2009 23:15

hellsbelles · 12/10/2009 08:54

Morning all - got a guilty takeaway hangover today (i.e - gut looking even more rotund than usual).

DD is just learning to crawl which is a pain wonderful and so I will have to be even more watchful...I'd forgotten how tiring this stage is!

DP - I'm glad you are going to cajole us into healthydom. I can't be doing with getting ill and staying lardy. I just got conned bought some probiotic powders that promise to ward off every disease known to man - I'll let you know if they work. You may have worked out I'm queen of the quick fix (except in business where I'm actually quite a grafter!) - which I know is all bollocks but I live in hope that a pill will sort out everything and I won't have to do a thing!

FlamingoBingo · 12/10/2009 08:56

Good morning gels.

Wow! I feel so much more myself after my break yesterday. We now have plans in place to make sure I get to top up my glass regularly to try and keep black dog away.

I have grand plans for today - no idea if they'll be realised or not. They definitely won't if I hang around on here all day so if I'm not around, it's because I'm being a Good Mummy TM.

Oh good! Just noticed DD4 is pooing, and in her nighttime nappy - yay! That means I don't waste a daytime one. Little things please little minds and all that

OP posts:
hellsbelles · 12/10/2009 09:06

Flamingo on the nappy - I can't believe someone else thinks the same as me on things like that!

Glad you are feeling good - your mood is infectious... I feel slightly more chirpy already.

Shiney - hope you are feeling better today?

TrillianSlasher · 12/10/2009 09:28

Morning all. Tired today - is ths the start of the age where hnagovers take more than a day to go? Leek and potato (homemade) soup for lunch. Might go to the shop for some fruit or something.

vampyrekisses · 12/10/2009 09:34

god i hate mondays...its just one long hangover...im going back to bed

TrillianSlasher · 12/10/2009 09:40

Hi harley! That post could only be you

Hells - I doubt probiotic powders will work any better than just eating some yoghurt.. Get some normal live yoghurt down you (in the form of Syc's patented yoghurty breakfast fo course!)

hellsbelles · 12/10/2009 09:43

Trillian - how old are you? I swear that the day I hit 30 my hangovers completely changed. I used to THINK I had hangovers and then when I got to 30 I understood what a hangover really meant (all day in bed...feeling really really shiteous and longing for the next day so that I would feel normal). Then again - at 30 I was drinking and enjoying myself far too much

SpookyAlice · 12/10/2009 09:47

Good morning all

Trills - i must admit i suffered quite a bit when i had a hangover the other week, Dh says that since he hit 30 they last 2 days

Oh, cat pics are on my FB if anyone (Trills) is interested

TrillianSlasher · 12/10/2009 09:50

I'm only 25 How will I cope whn I'm 30?

I wasn't ill in bed yesterday, just feeling fragile on the sofa.

TrillianSlasher · 12/10/2009 09:51

Oooh, cute tiger cat!

NormaSknockers · 12/10/2009 10:07

Morning all!

Popping in quickly as friend coming round today so won't be able to get on properly til later!

Shiney hope you get an energy boost soon! Not suprised you feel like this after illing for a while it really drains you, be kind to yourself & jsut take time boosting yourself up again. Got anything in that's high in Vit C etc?

I'm always winding up DH up that he's going to hit 30 before me Funny though men don't seem to bothered about hitting 30 as we do

Have a good day all catch up soon!
