Anyway, welcome to everyone to our healthy eating thread - trying to lose weight or just to life a healthier lifestyle (and chatting inanely along the way).

Anyone and everyone welcome, just so long as you're nice! We are not a clique and welcome newcomers, so please join us! But beware - this thread moves very fast - just leap right in

Hopefully this one will fill up particularly quickly so we can lose this rather shit title

Clive Owen - yum - Norma is your DH same build as him or David Tennant??

DH hates him (Clive Tennant not your DH!) because I told him my first boyfriend was the spitting image of him (he was - sort of - if you squinted ). I used to love him in Chancer that series from years and years ago.

David Tennant - well he is actually quite tall though he looks like he isn't. He popped his head round the door of a bar I was in and I came over quite faint! He must have wondered who the middle aged woman having a funny turn was - I have to keep reminding myself that I'm not 18 any more and these glam celebs won't be looking at me like that any more - more that I remind them of their Aunt or something

Being really wicked food wise. Pad Thai. I know that is really really bad - I promise to do better starting t/m.

SpookyAlice · 11/10/2009 18:43

I aknow what you mean about Alan Rickman, i feel the same about Daniel Craig, not bothered about his looks at all, but his voice!!

Really must go and feed small hungry child and smelly he/she cat

TrillianSlasher · 11/10/2009 18:44

David Tennant - like a taller better-looking Richard Hammond!

NormaSknockers · 11/10/2009 18:46

LOL hells - Same build as DT, sorry to disappoint He looks hot in a suit though, even hotter in his uniform (DH I'm talking about although DT looks hot in a suit too!)he has met Clive Owen though!

Oh yes Alan Rickman does have a lurvely voice!

NormaSknockers · 11/10/2009 18:47

The Hamster - aaarrrrggghhhhhh

hellsbelles · 11/10/2009 18:52

Norma - I think DT is lovely even better in real life so I'm that your DH has his build!

But the Hamster is looking a bit "bouffant" in those recent Morrisons ads isn't it? He got a real Princess Diana hair styley thing going on!

Better go...I think the Pad Thai is here.

TrillianSlasher · 11/10/2009 18:56

Takeaway is tempting, but I spent enough money on cocktails yesterday.

NormaSknockers · 11/10/2009 19:00

I have to adit I find DH rather sexy (good job seeings as I married him) he recently bought a very well fitted DT styley suit & phwoar

LOL @ Princess Diana hair styley, it is rather long & sweepy! It's ever since his crash isn't it that he's grown it?

Mmmmmmm takeaway

TrillianSlasher · 11/10/2009 19:01

The woman on CDWM right now is crazy obsessive over her shiny kitchen equipment. Apparently she and her husband refer to the coffee machine as their toddler.

Speaking of which, where's Shiney?

Alice why is your cat a he/she?

NormaSknockers · 11/10/2009 19:04

They sound erm eccentric Trills, I've heard of people reffering to pets as their babies but coffee machines

Hmm yes where is Shiney our illustrious leader?

FlamingoBingo · 11/10/2009 19:08

Good evening

I am much better, thank you Sazzles. I worked yesterday morning, and in the afternoon my parents took the girls out and I sewed myself a new bag.

This morning DH took all the girls to his parents house and I stayed home and finished off painting all the living room walls (just doors and windowsill to do now) and did a bit of sewing on DD3's blanket I'm making her.

Then my lovely brother came and picked me up in this and took me out to lunch at TGI Fridays (at about 3pm though!). When we got home, DH and the girls were back.

I feel very refreshed and much more myself than just Mum.

Sounds like a lovely day Flamingo, good for you

Lizzylou · 11/10/2009 19:29

My DH must have seen my posts lusting after other men, he is currently doing all the jobs around the house he has been putting off for months and months

Alan Rickman's voice is lovely, very rich and gravelly.

Someone said my DH looked like Daniel Craig when he had a Dinner Jacket on last year, he doesn't, same colouring and DH has pouty lips, but thats about it. DH is broad lancashire/Manc too, not all velvety deep DC.
Actually one of my friends also said he looked like DC as well, but it was her first night out after having a baby and after 2 wines she collapsed, so am not taking that one seriously

SpookyAlice · 11/10/2009 19:36

Lizzy

Flamingo - what a lovely weekend!

Trills - Dh (who is a vet) thought the cat was a boy, FIL (also a vet) is convinced it is a girl, so at the moment it is a shim. Better point out that DH and FIL are both Equine Vets though...

TrillianSlasher · 11/10/2009 19:39

DP looks very yummy in a suit, or just in his big wniter coat. Mmm. You know when Darcy wraps Bridget Jones up in his coat at the end? Like that, only without all the crappy ridiculous stuff before.

Lizzylou · 11/10/2009 19:39

Ooh Flam, was too busy lusting to see you, sorry.
Sounds a wonderful break for you, just what you need and deserve, glad you had a lovely day

Lizzylou · 11/10/2009 19:42

OOh yes I do, Trill
Am all flushed now, must be the sight of DH with worktools!
I really used to like it when DH came home straight from playing football, there were no showers and he all hot and sweaty and he looks great in shorts........

He buggered his knee up, so can't play football anymore [sulk emoticon]

Are we all hormonal?

SazZaVoom · 11/10/2009 19:45

Evening

DH gone away to work, house tidied, pizza stuff sorted for playgroup tomorrow, DD's asleep, fire lit and wine poured

Trills - i love that bit in Bridget and Colin Firth would get the nod every day in my book

No interest in David Tennant, Daniel Craig or the Hamster. Ewwwwwwwww. IIRC he has had a bit of a turn since his accident and has been bouffant ever since

Flamingo - sounds like a lovely day for you AND you got stuff done in the house. Go you

LOL at Alice on the sherry and very of pad thai. We had hungarian lamb goulash, mash and cabbage for dinner (small portion for me)

Someone said the other day that my legs looked skinny . I have never had that said before, however as i am still in size 14 jeans i am minded to think they were just being lovely

SazZaVoom · 11/10/2009 19:47

Don't you find though Lizzy you have to catch them before the hot and sweaty turns to cold and clammy

Well done on the skinny legs Saz! One of my friends visiting this weekend said I looked slimmer than usual.

Would like to point out that DP doesn't actually look like Colin Firth (not so squidgy for a start). Well, if he let his hair grow it would be quite big.

TrillianSlasher · 11/10/2009 19:52

How are you feeling Shiney? Are the antibiotics doing anything?

SazZaVoom · 11/10/2009 19:53

Shiney - have you heard any more on 'the incident'? I have not been on MN much at all this weekend so have seen no announcements

It's lovely when people notice isn't it Trills? My mum hasn't said a thing even though i am 2.5 stone lighter

DreamsInBinary · 11/10/2009 19:55

I had an exciting pregnancy dream about DT, and have not looked at him in the same way since. He was a very bad man.

BiteOfFun · 11/10/2009 20:00
