Ok, I did it. Guess what my DDs are watching over and over again at the moment?

Anyway, welcome to everyone to our healthy eating thread - trying to lose weight or just to life a healthier lifestyle (and chatting inanely along the way).

Anyone and everyone welcome, just so long as you're nice! We are not a clique and welcome newcomers, so please join us! But beware - this thread moves very fast - just leap right in

Hopefully this one will fill up particularly quickly so we can lose this rather shit title

I have just been copiously sick, honestly! Is it thinking of Tough Love, or just lots of catarrh?

SazZaVoom · 08/10/2009 22:25

No, you are terribly ill and need a flock of adonises to fan you and mop your brow

BiteOfFun · 08/10/2009 22:33

Now that I like the sound of! I don't feel ill, just blocked up-I think coughing can set puking off for me when it's really bad. Still, I'm sure the adonises won't mind

TrillianSlasher · 08/10/2009 22:35

Hello ladies. I think I may have drunk more than is advisable for a weekday evening. Lovely dinner though.

Shiney still trying to get attention for her "illness" is she?

bellavita · 08/10/2009 22:35

I am retiring to bed ladies.

Catch up with y'all tomorrow

SazZaVoom · 08/10/2009 22:36

Ah no, they are very accommodating

Right, off to bed for me, hope the coughing and related leakages cease soon

SycsUpGoreAndBleedsBile · 08/10/2009 22:37

I am Ill.

I am tired..

Work is mentally stressing me.

My office is next to a burrito shop.

Oh god, oh god, oh god.

Last night I slept only from 3.30am - 6am

My big plan to kick mine and your arses didn't work very well. I'm sorry ladies.

I fear I can only limp onto the thread sidelines at the moment and try to read and post through woozy eyes.

TrillianSlasher · 08/10/2009 22:40

Poor Syc. What on earth have you been doing to only sleep that tiny amount?

SazZaVoom · 08/10/2009 22:41

Blimey Syc - that is rivalling DEM for lack of sleep

Hope things improve soon and you can crawl back to the wagon (avoiding the burrito shop) soon. Missing your wise words

SycsUpGoreAndBleedsBile · 08/10/2009 22:44

Ill and dry cough that won't stop but mainly my mind, mind, mind is whirring.

I haven't had a new job, or new colleagues for 12 years. I'm now heading up a department and I've come in over the head of someone who clearly is uncomfortable about it.

And my mac is noodling my noggin.

Oh poor you Syc- sorry you are having a shitey week

I have had a few nights of the same sort of sleep actually this week, with not being able to breathe properly, but I have managed a snooze in the day here and there, not having to cope with a spanking new job- I am in awe...

TrillianSlasher · 08/10/2009 22:50

Horrified DD = a DD who takes your illness seriously now then Shiney?

SycsUpGoreAndBleedsBile · 08/10/2009 22:54

Whole family have had it - little DS has been sick a couple of times, the rest of us not, though I am feeling sicky with the cough.

The woman I share and office with has an immune defence issue so I am stressing about not giving her illness but also being like WTF, I can't take a sick day on day 3 of my new job.

DH is still coughing three weeks on. I think it's really going around as my boss was sniffling today too.

But did I mention how great our nanny is. That's one thing that I'm feeling positive about.

This week I have come home to:

Huge fish pie enough for DH and I, chocolate dipped blueberries made by kids pour moi, home made wholemeal banana muffins, spag bol tonight...she's a marvel. The kids fling themselves at her each morning and I have the distinct feeling she is much better at her job than I am at mine

Oh, and the share family join in in 2 weeks. Shiney - will email you off board for interesting info about share family.

Nooooooooo Syc - tell us all. Please

Glad to hear that the nanny is fabulous. Makes everything else so much easier.

SycsUpGoreAndBleedsBile · 08/10/2009 23:06

Night all. Got to try and improve on last night's sleep record.

SycsUpGoreAndBleedsBile · 08/10/2009 23:08

DIB, don't mind telling you all off board, just don't think I can say it on board as it feels like a breach of confidence...I wouldn't want to think she was on bloody netmums chatting about us!
CAT me if you reaaaalllly need to know.

DreamsInBinary · 08/10/2009 23:20

Oh dear, am drunk

DreamsInBinary · 08/10/2009 23:40

Night all

bellavita · 09/10/2009 06:26

Awww Syc, hope you get better soon. Crap ain't it when you have a new job and you need to be on top of things. At least it is Friday today and you can have two days rest after today.

I don't have cat anymore, so if you tell shiney, she can tell me via my message inbox on fb (twill be chinese whispers by the end of it all) .

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 09/10/2009 06:57

Hi Bella...so what delicious treats do you have for breakfast this morning?

gently>

I have the day from hell today and have been up since 4.00 ironing partly to relieve DD's asthma/croup type cough. If I manage to achieve everything I need to today I am having a treat. It will probably involve Pastry and cream.

I have just discovered that citalopram can cause weight gain/impede weight loss so maybe that is why it wont budge.

Hope all have good days.

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 09/10/2009 07:43

Ahhh...Looks like I won't be going anywhere. DD is quite poorly and her breathing is terrible. Don't know if this is good or bad. Will have to rearrange evrything for another day but having been up since 4.00am I didn't feel like doing it anyway.

That bed looks mighty tempting...

FlamingoBingo · 09/10/2009 07:48

Morning

Poor TMW being up so early!

I still think I must win in the 'lack of sleep stakes' having woken 1-4 times every single night for 7 years now

One day, one day, I tell you, I will sleep all night long...when my children have left home .
