Ok, I did it. Guess what my DDs are watching over and over again at the moment?

Anyway, welcome to everyone to our healthy eating thread - trying to lose weight or just to life a healthier lifestyle (and chatting inanely along the way).

Anyone and everyone welcome, just so long as you're nice! We are not a clique and welcome newcomers, so please join us! But beware - this thread moves very fast - just leap right in

Hopefully this one will fill up particularly quickly so we can lose this rather shit title

Yay! When my friend was here I put on 2lb . Back up to 9st 13lb but not over my magic 10st mark that I pledged never to go over again.

Weighed in today and I'm back on track - 9st 11lb again Where I was before my friend came. I'm very pleased.

Oh so much more illing - so sorry for you all and hope today is better. I hope I don't catch it - this thread seems highly toxic!

Bella - very impressed. What a lovely thing to do.

Well done flamingo - that's good.

I'm at home today (I work 2 days a week right now) and have a frantic day ahead but DD is just being so delicious I want to forget all the stuff I need to do and play non stop with her!

Oh well - hopefully will manage to get to see new baby niece today....I can't wait for that new baby smell. Makes me so broody!

But I'm not being very good on the food front. Finally did get my period (after a one and half year break!) and forgot until now that it makes me crave carbs and sweet things. Tryingly to stave off the pangs with chewing gum?!

FlamingoBingo · 09/10/2009 09:10

Hellsbells - leave anything you possibly can and just play with your DD. The world won't come to an end if there's a bit of dust around, or you're wearing unironed clothes.

hellsbelles · 09/10/2009 09:35

Flamingo - I will accept that order!

With DS I was so exhausted all the time as he was the most horrendous sleeper (my fault I know ) that I don't think I enjoyed his babyhood as much as I should have (though we are making up for it now).

But I'm going to make sure I don't do the same with DD - I'm wallowing in her babyness. I know it's going to be gone so so soon and that I very lucky that I get to spend so much time with her.

Lizzylou · 09/10/2009 09:52

OK, I need the illing people to kick me into shape.
I have put on 4lbs and lost any tone to my body I'd got from running.
Have not exercised or ate well for a couple of weeks, have a bright red nose (bit of a cold, thankfully nothing like you guys though)with flakey skin and am spotty.
I know that this is all my fault, my diet and lack of exercise is making me all run down.
So, logging back onto Food Focus, no more wine unless OK by the Lord and no more junk. Have hardly had any fresh fruit/veg for weeks, ironic when you see the amount I stuff down my boys necks.
Inspire me and kcik me up my flabby backside!

TrillianSlasher · 09/10/2009 10:06

Mmm, I had a loooooooovely dinner last night.

How are you all this morning? Went for a swim, did 40 lengths quite slowly.

TrillianSlasher · 09/10/2009 10:19

Lizzy - better diet will definitely help your skin. Just think how beeyooteeful you will be if you eat an apple.

Lizzylou · 09/10/2009 10:29

Trill you're right, will drink water more too.
I think at 36 yrs old, it's not good to get spots, I already have bloody wrinkles!
I saw photos of Kate Moss recently where she's transformed since those holiday snaps of her looking wrinkly and spotty, she now looks years younger (she could have just had surgery I suppose!).
Am munching on pineapple at this very minute

hellsbelles · 09/10/2009 10:43

Kate Moss - yes - and she probably went to a spa costings thousands too . WHich would certainly make me look 5 years younger.

But having said that we probably have one head start over her....at the risk of being sued (?) I suspect we haven't been non stop Allegedly 'powdering' our noses have we ?

Lizzylou · 09/10/2009 11:05

Only on a Friday night Hells , occasionally a Saturday too

Not really!

I need a spa day I think, with loads of treatments and snoozes, whilst dressed in a fluffy white towelling robe...

VineGruesomeTits · 09/10/2009 11:57

My glass of wine turned into a full bottle last night i got carried away watching Peter Andre, he is looking quite sexy these days (or was it the wine ? )

PMSL at your nan thinking she was on a boat Sazz, and Fives GF taking up drink again Grandparents are always slightly bonkers but the heart and soul

They have decided to not give my Nan any treatment, apart from regular blood transfussions, anything else would be too much for her to take, she is coming home today and will recieve palletive care from home so she is glad she doesnt have to be in hospital

She always used to say to me 'if God spares me...' i'm just hoping he does for a little while longer...

Lizzylou · 09/10/2009 12:03

Oh Vin, your Nan does sound fab

I know what you mean about wine (though not Peter Andre), an open bottle is an empty bottle in this house

NormaSknockers · 09/10/2009 13:13

of maybe?

VineGruesomeTits · 09/10/2009 13:17

I have yet to put my heating on at home

But i am sat here at my desk in work with a portable heater on full blast keeping my feet cosy

At home if i am cold i put on a jumper, times are hard, i have to warm up as much as i can while i'm at work

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 09/10/2009 13:20

I have cracked and put my heating on shiney, but more for DD's benefit than my own. Her asthma is dreadful this year. Most mornings I have to push her to school on her bike. She likes soft toys and fabrics far too much for her own good and I need to be harder about parting her from some of them.

Is everyone feeling improved at all?

My Grandad was fab,.... sort of . He took up the trumpet at 89 after not having played it since he was a teenager. We used to phone each other up and pay each other outrageous compliments. He was the 'godfather' of the family even though in his late eighties he was diminutive.

SazZaVoom · 09/10/2009 13:40

Afternoon - still residing on my bloody plateau, but at least we have yet to be struck down with any horror illnesses

Did 1.5hr walk with double buggy this morning and swimming this avo, so at least i should have pert buttocks if nothing else

No heating on here yet, trying to wait till November as we need our oil talk filling up and costs £600 . We do have the wood fire on in the evening though, so i am a 'no heat' cheat

Well done on keeping under target Flamingo and hot toddies round for the majority of the thread who are illing

All except Lizzy of course who has a special

My Grandad offered to give my sister driving lessons when he was 90 odd, was in a home and hadn't driven his Morris 10 for about 25 years. He was adament he could get her to pass

bellavita · 09/10/2009 14:04

Mitts - I had Syc's yoghy breakfast with blueberries and strawberries. I also took a homemade scone to work to have with my coffee. Sorry about your dd.

Have just had some delish scrambled eggs on toast.

Shiney (and others - you know who you are... ) GET THE BLOODY HEATING ON!!!

How nice of your gramps shiney to pay

TrillianSlasher · 09/10/2009 14:19
