Revolutionaries of The Shiney Path - The Gorillas In Our Midst Eat Healthily

Welcome to our 22nd Healthy Eating thread under the auspicious eye of Shiney the Cult Leader. She is vegetarian (like a gorilla), but you don't have to be! Or hairy!

I may be getting distracted by my over-cryptic thread title (it is hard when all the obvious ones have been done- fwiw The Shining Path are a South American guerrilla group and I'm looking at watching Che on dvd later, what can I say...), but I have been appointed Tsar With Authority for Titles, and starting this on a Friday night may be ill-judged, BUT...

We are here with the aim of eating healthily, losing weight in varying amounts if that is what we wish, and most of all posting as often as we're able to support each other. We have a good laugh too. Allegedly. But we're no trouble, no siree...

New-comers very welcome, just introduce yourselves and pile in!

i'm never suprised about these troll threads...

i know people who haven't got a clue what their partners are up to...how are we supposed to know what internet strangers are up to...?

hellsbelles · 04/10/2009 19:35

Goodness - typos galore. Should have stuck to one glass of wine. Sorry.

FlamingoBingo · 04/10/2009 19:49

You've been ill for ages! Are you going to see the doc?

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 04/10/2009 20:02

there there.......

StrictlySazz · 04/10/2009 20:08

Evening

Very, very busy weekend here, quite a lot achieved in sorting out the piles of crap in the house and garden . DD2 not well after her MMR on Fri. Just hoping coincidence she has been struck down by teething/bad bum/cold at the same time

Shiney - you did nothing wrong. when i clicked on the original thread i did but just didn;t post as i knew no background etc. Never have the guts to do any more

Hi Syc - i think you are right to keep Syc in your name. Definitely more recognisable, which is a good thing for someone so lovely as you

FlamingoBingo · 04/10/2009 20:10

Gah! Bastard wall looks like it'll need a FOURTH coat .

Remind me never to paint a wall brown!

Off to start cutting in on wall numbero duo!

DreamsInBinary · 04/10/2009 20:37

Ugh, FB, what a pita.

Have just spent 90 mins hacking back the overgrowth in my garden, and so am feeling virtuous but also concerned that I am teaming with spiders

Salsavita · 04/10/2009 20:51

Hey girls, I wore my new sweater dress/tunic today without having to wear the leggings. I wore it with patterned tights and the newly found shoes. I wore a little waist slip underneath the dress to stop it clinging to the tights and lo and behold, when I caught sight of myself in the mirror going into the toilet - I realised that the slip had slipped down about 4inches below the dress - I passed loads of people too!

Dreams - eurgh spiders, I hate them.

trolls.....hmm if my memory serves me right, they turn into stone and form mountains and things if they stay out in daylight.

FlamingoBingo · 04/10/2009 21:11

Oh slime

I have a very good pelvic floor, considering - only two things make it fail now - trampolining and vomitting. When I was in the early stages of pregnancy with all four DDs, DH used to come to comfort me when I was being sick - he used to bring the usual water, as you'd expect, but then also a clean pair of knickers and tights .

Just put a pad in and be done with all those showers! Embrace your crap pelvic floor - 'tis one of the scars to prove what an amazing thing your body's done...TWICE!

Salsavita · 04/10/2009 21:13

Oh shiney - thing was, I was trying to walk without hobbling in my high shoes thinking I was doing ok, swinging my new fancy bag along, you know sort of "here I am" type of thing...

Am glad you are going to call the dr - make sure you get an appointment too, don't let the bloody receptionist fob you off.

daftpunk · 04/10/2009 21:23

hey you lot...stop fighting over bitoffun...!

gonna crash early ...... g'night y'all

(shineon....hope you feel better tomorrow.... get an early night)

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 04/10/2009 21:24

It definately sounds like you are mightily run down Shiney....

I agree about docs and suggest asking if your iron might need checking.....

Lol at salsa's underslip showing....

My hall needs painting FB...we live close to a very busy road where Lorries rev their engines a lot, and the dust is heavy and the paintwork goes drab really quickly but,I am quite daunted by it at the moment. I hope all other things work out well for you... life changes are exciting and so scary at the same time.

I am going to bed and wil get up realy early tomorrow to do stuff. I am chasing my tail so goodnight...

SqueezyCheese · 04/10/2009 21:25

Anyone else off the wagon who is planning to get back on tomorrow? I am defo getting back on - I NEED to!

DreamsInBinary · 04/10/2009 21:32

Yes, yes, YES!

Tomorrow all will change in the binary house.

SqueezyCheese · 04/10/2009 21:33

Wahey DIB! High five!

DreamsInBinary · 04/10/2009 21:37

By Xmas, we will be able to borrow Flamingo's jeans

TrillianSlasher · 04/10/2009 21:37

Have just changed to 'unlimited posts per page' so I can read that what happened thread in case it gets deleted! Just more of the same, I expect.

BewareTheFullMoon · 04/10/2009 21:43

Do you think it will get deleted trill?

DreamsInBinary · 04/10/2009 21:47

Did exactly the same.

MavisGrind · 04/10/2009 21:48

Evening all. I'm supposed to be revising. Was just going to have a 10 minute break to catch up. 2 bloody hours I've been sat here catching up on the drama over in chat.

I will not pass my exams at this rate and I really need to.

Right. So, from tomorrow, no more gin or choc ices. Good healthy stuff and water. And lots of revising.

I may need to restrict my MNing over the next couple of weeks - how does anyone get anything done?
