Revolutionaries of The Shiney Path - The Gorillas In Our Midst Eat Healthily

Welcome to our 22nd Healthy Eating thread under the auspicious eye of Shiney the Cult Leader. She is vegetarian (like a gorilla), but you don't have to be! Or hairy!

I may be getting distracted by my over-cryptic thread title (it is hard when all the obvious ones have been done- fwiw The Shining Path are a South American guerrilla group and I'm looking at watching Che on dvd later, what can I say...), but I have been appointed Tsar With Authority for Titles, and starting this on a Friday night may be ill-judged, BUT...

We are here with the aim of eating healthily, losing weight in varying amounts if that is what we wish, and most of all posting as often as we're able to support each other. We have a good laugh too. Allegedly. But we're no trouble, no siree...

New-comers very welcome, just introduce yourselves and pile in!

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 02/10/2009 20:51

Lol DP...I am about as controvertial as a spatula.

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 02/10/2009 20:54

I did keep making an arse of myself though...had a strange habit of going on BJ and sex threads and making alarming confessions that I instantly regretted.....

FlamingoBingo · 02/10/2009 20:55

I'm here!!!!!!!!!!!

Slimeon - I absolutely lurve your new name. Doesn't that mean that we need to have 'slimey' in the thread titles now, though? . Please tell me, as I haven't been on enough to notice, what on earth inspired your namechange? Is it your hallowe'en name?

Salsavita · 02/10/2009 20:55

BofF - it is the same cut, had a trim and just had my colour redone and a bit extra put into the sides. Nothing dramatic. Anyway, I am sat here in my jim jams, so cannot take a photo!

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 02/10/2009 20:57

wheee!!! Flamingo..

daftpunk · 02/10/2009 20:57

lol...i never go on the sex threads.....all my problems come from the political threads...

come the revolution comrade..!

FlamingoBingo · 02/10/2009 21:01

Someone stop me looking at property websites!

We are going to move - house on market as soon as it's decorated and gardens are made more attractive (that sounds very posh - I actually mean front garden (ie. heap of cat-shitty gravel) and back garden (ie. heap of chicken-shitty grass) ).

Is sazzles still around? Highlighting your name, Sazzles, so you see it! We are fairly certain we'll move to your town. We're very excited. Just got to get cracking on the painting etc.

I have eaten and eaten and eaten this week and am very with myself. Hoping I can clamber back on the wagon with the help of this lovely slimy shiney new thread

Salsavita · 02/10/2009 21:10

BofF - there are two holiday pics on my profile - hair is the same then as I had just had it done. Very boring.

StrictlySazz · 02/10/2009 21:14

OOh hello all

How very freaky Flamingo that i clicked on here and you were talking to me

Do you know exactly where we are? I can't remember . Begins with P yes but Town might be over egging the size. How exciting to be moving

Well done Fanny on the loss

Lovely thread BOF and loving TWAT rather than TIT

healthy snacks - i live on sweet chilli snack a jacks. Maybe an acquired taste though

TheIggorcist · 02/10/2009 21:20

Ho ho ho I've found the thread. God why am I sounding like Santa? Bad enough I look like him. (stomach or beard? I'll leave to your imagination) Crap day, half a tesco-metro-size-supermarket-contents now residing in belly. Nice to see everyone.

daftpunk · 02/10/2009 21:21

you are lovely bella....

i have to update my photo....my hair is in 8 plaits atm..

BitOfFun · 02/10/2009 21:22

OP posts:
StrictlySazz · 02/10/2009 21:23

Love the name Iggi

Salsavita · 02/10/2009 21:25

Hi Sazz and dp

dp - tis the lighting... in the clear light of day I wouldn't say lovely! But thank you

Plaits - you will definitely have to put a photo up.

StrictlySazz · 02/10/2009 21:27

Hiya Bella - how's the knee?

DreamsInBinary · 02/10/2009 21:29

What's halloweeny and starts with D?

Not a joke (and yes, I have noticed the deathly silence whenever I make a geek joke ), but so I can have a super new seasonal name.

Am feeling a bit guilty - I lied that dh was working into the night to pull out of a works party tonight. I'd rather just curl up at home, which isn't like me at all. And I hate lying - no matter how small I'm convinced I'll be found out

MavisGrind · 02/10/2009 21:30

Hi All, found you. Honestly, it's all I can do to keep up lurking on this thread without actually getting round to posting on it.

Ahem. Anyway, today I bought some scales so I now have no excuse. Mind you I quite fancy a choc ice.

Off to catch up with everything else. Hope you're all enjoying your Friday night.

Salsavita · 02/10/2009 21:31

Tis okayish Sazz. Have got different exercises to do and I need to get an exercise ball this weekend. I wanted to clean the oven tonight, but that ended up only being half cleaned as I can only bend over in half that makes sense?

StrictlySazz · 02/10/2009 21:38

Oven cleaning is definitely off the required list of chores, I haven;t done it for 5 years and could still use the excuse of a didgy knee . Mine held up ok at netball, just got a sore heel

DIB - DreamsInBlood?

Mavis - step away from the choc ice. Tis too cold for such things

MavisGrind · 02/10/2009 21:43

I have resisted the choc ice as I had forgetten that I'd already eaten a plate of cheese and biscuits.

Right, I need recommendations for exercise dvds. I can't get out running for the foreseeable so I need to be able to do something after the dc's are in bed. Anyone got any suggestions?

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 02/10/2009 21:49

oh, me too mavis but I wnat something dance orientated or boxer cisey...I was just on Ebay but am at a loss..
