Welcome to what may be our 21st Healthy Eating thread!

We take it with varying levels of seriousness- in fact we are a pretty light-hearted bunch generally, but we do support each other, whether we are trying to lose a little (or a lot of) weight, or just get fitter.

Shiney is our Glorious Leader , ably backed up by the ass-kicking Sycamoretree and many other lovely regulars.

Come and join us- post as much as you can and join in the fun, nay, the phenomenon that is the Shiney thread

Hello all (that are up)

I am afraid I am poorlier than anybody else and have had NO sleep, so, as I don't like to complain I won't be hanging around for sympathy all day. (because I can't go cycling because I think it would finish me off).

Grump. Bah. Grump.

Will be thinking of your DD Jet. And you because I have no doubt you will be anxious for her.

Need Tea........No, it is alright I will make my own, I am alright really......

SycamoretreeIsVile · 26/09/2009 08:49

Very late to stomp all over new thread, but better late than never!

Off to hen weekend (groan, how much are you betting I add to my weight gain?). Should be great fun though.

Shiney - think you have passed me your lurgy - how are you doing? I am strongly in support of lemsip night and day. Caffeine for the day, something to knock you out at night.

Love to all of you - sorry I don't have time to catch up the thread at the moment, but trust you are all stocking your cupboards in anticipation of the all new Shiney regime which will start on 5th October.

FiveGoMadonTheDanceFloor · 26/09/2009 08:51

TMW - what can I get you. The kettle is on, we have porridge, full English's, veggie brekfasts and kippers cooking. Anything tempt you?

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 26/09/2009 08:59

Oh...thank you Five, just tea is good..

Hi syc...if you kick me I will fall over and not be able to get up again [wimp emoticon]. But when I have recovered I have some New Rock Boots which will nicely return the favour..

Enjoy thr Hen do, which I imagine will kill or cure you if you are feeling poorly.

NormaSknockers · 26/09/2009 09:12

Sorry I went AWOL - DH was off for 12 days so was harder to get on for very long only nipped on for quick posts & then got out of the habit IYKWIM? Been doing ok though lost 3lbs & running has been going well - fell off the wagon the last few days but have done a shop & got in lots of yummy low fat foods so back on track today - just been for my run too - start week 5 on Tuesday

Jet - glad to hear DD is a bit better at her dad though - what a dick not texting her back

How is everyone?

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 26/09/2009 09:24

DS isn't always all that keen on going to his Dad's Jet. And his Dad says to me ''I'll have the kids overnight, it'll do you a favour and give you a break'' No you , They are YOUR kids, that YOU walked out on in a drunken rage, you have them because you love them and they need quality time with their Dad.

Oh, I am ill. I don't normally do this..

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 26/09/2009 09:28

Perhaps I need to go K'boxing twice a week. I obviously have ishooes...

NormaSknockers · 26/09/2009 09:30

Or a good punch bag TMW

FlamingoBingo · 26/09/2009 09:33

Yay! Lost another pound I think I'm averaging about 3/4lb per week right now, which is fine - slow and steady. Should make it very easy to keep the weight off once I've reached my target weight. I lose more the weeks I exercise a lot of course. But I haven't been running for ages .

Decided just to have a massage rather than the full massage+facial+scalp massage and save the last money to spend on a load of size 10 clothes the minute I can fit in them!

NormaSknockers · 26/09/2009 09:35

Well done Flamingo - you're doing really well!

VinegarTits · 26/09/2009 09:35

Good morning, i just got back into bed, stayed at a mates last night and she was up for work at 7 so i came home and watched corrie ommi while eating cheese and marmite on toast, then had a shower, now back in bed

Got a big night out tonight, just tried on my outfit and its looking good, my stomach looked flat! so i am not eating for the rest of today so it stays that way

I am going to weight my breasts later, i think

FlamingoBingo · 26/09/2009 09:45

Just worked out that I'll be healthy BMI when I'm 9st4lb so half a stone to go. And 1st 2lb to go until I'm my goal weight.

HI all
In work today, bloody company haven't paid the software licence so have no way of doing any work, will talk to the fish tank all day then!

Jet, hope juniorjet gets an answer to her text

TMW, hope you feel better

VT, you are hardcore, up all night, sleep all day then back out again,

FB and Five, hope that your poorly DC are better. DS1 woke up (after 7am! Praise be!) with a snotty nose but he still wanted to go swimming, so am hoping it's just mild thing.

Yay Norma!!! Well done on the running (have been very slack meself) and the loss.

Must get focussed!

VinegarTits · 26/09/2009 09:59

Oh i am far from hardcore, my mate and me were in bed by 12, after 2 bottles of wine, so i wasn't up all night, just up early as she had work

I am loving the new thread title BOF, i always knew you should be our official TIT

Lizzylou · 26/09/2009 10:01

Ah! Was wondering at your stamina then.

Yep BOF is resident TIT now!

NormaSknockers · 26/09/2009 10:44

LOL @ BOF being the new official TIT

VT did you weigh your boobs Hoorah to the flat stomach!!

Thanks Lizzy - no idea how I've kept the running up but somehow I've managed it without killing myself! Did have a rather distressing incident on my Thurs evening run though

Is Shiney poorly?

VinegarTits · 26/09/2009 10:45

Norma i'm going to weight them now...watch this space

NormaSknockers · 26/09/2009 10:49

I await with baited breath

VinegarTits · 26/09/2009 10:59

I must be losing my mind, i walked into the bathroom with my tits in my hands ready to weight them, looked at the floor where the scales should be, and remember i threw them out yonks ago

someone retrieve my memory please, this is quite worrying

sorry to disappoint Norma, i will buy some more scales and get them weight soon

I did compare one breast to the weight of some food stuff in my cupboard, and it was about the weight of a tin of beans

NormaSknockers · 26/09/2009 11:04

Memory loss is a scary thing

NormaSknockers · 26/09/2009 11:04

Memory loss is a scary thing

NormaSknockers · 26/09/2009 11:05

Memory loss is a scary thing

LOL @ one tit weighing the same as a tin of beans - I like it!

Lizzylou · 26/09/2009 11:09

@ memory loss

I may ask DH to help me weigh mine when I get back, when the boys have gone to bed though, don't want to scar em for life (or have them telling school/preschool!).

What happened on your Thursday run, Norma?

I need to get back into it, but have been amazing myself with my resourceful excuses not to run.

Just showed someone round a house, it was empty and filthy, stank of dog all throughout, put me right off my lunch. I thought I could be a Sarah Beeny with this job, no chance doubt she has to go round houses retching and gagging

NormaSknockers · 26/09/2009 11:25

I was running about quarter to 8 in the evening so it was dark, I was running along a fairly busy road when a car sped up behind me with a lad aged about 10 hanging out the car window & he literally screamed at the top of his lungs at me - he was laughing & screaming abuse at me like 'fat birds make me puke' It scared the life out of me as it was so loud & I didn't see him coming as they drove up behind me, I nearly burst into tears
