Welcome to what may be our 21st Healthy Eating thread!

We take it with varying levels of seriousness- in fact we are a pretty light-hearted bunch generally, but we do support each other, whether we are trying to lose a little (or a lot of) weight, or just get fitter.

Shiney is our Glorious Leader , ably backed up by the ass-kicking Sycamoretree and many other lovely regulars.

Come and join us- post as much as you can and join in the fun, nay, the phenomenon that is the Shiney thread

Trills, my hair is long and curly too, but i tried the MN haircut, which seemed to just shorten the layers rather than the bulk of it which is what i was after. Nevermind.

WRT posh teenagers = big hair, now all teenagers have big hair, apart from the chavvy ones that have it scraped back.

Oh, and DH is on MN a lot too

TrillianSlasher · 03/10/2009 12:01

I think you have thick hair though - there's actually not a lot of mine - when I straighten it there's harldy anything to it. And I'm trying to see how long I can get it (been doing this for a couple of years now, think it might not be getting any longer) so all I wanted was to chop off the straggly bit and do some shape around my face.

You're right hat the shortest layers are a lot shorter than the longest ones, you couldn't use this to make your hair much shorter without getting a fringe (eek at curly fringe!!!)

SpookyAlice · 03/10/2009 12:05

Exactly, i had to have a trip to claire's accessories to get some of those thin elastic head band things to keep it off my face. It will grow back soon, my hair grows stupidly fast and is half way down my back at the moment, which makes it too heavy to put up properly.

Curly fringe is NEVER a good look

IWantAChickAndADuck · 03/10/2009 12:07

hey everyone - wierd your talking about haircuts/fringes, I had mine done yesterday and for the first time ever i got a fringe dp likes it, i say it doesn't look like my hair!

IWantAChickAndADuck · 03/10/2009 12:08

How is everyone's 'healthy eating' going? I'm finding it really hard now it's getting colder

SpookyAlice · 03/10/2009 12:11

I'm in hibernation mode

Just want warm comfort food, but trying to control portion sizes and struggling to drink water, just want tea instead

TrillianSlasher · 03/10/2009 12:24

Tea with no sugar and small amount of skimmed milk?

I can't really talk about hair much - I hardly ever do anything to mine.

NormaSknockers · 03/10/2009 18:46

Booooooooooooooooooooooooo!

I'm utterly shattered today, have almost no energy at all so curling up on the sofa with a cuppa awaiting X-Factor!

BewareTheFullMoon · 03/10/2009 19:03

I am desperatly googling volume switch for little boys and restraints that comply with both the geneve convetion and the human rights nonse. COnsidering an airmail company as alternative solution to the diaster that is a little boy not coping.

BewareTheFullMoon · 03/10/2009 19:11

Ahhhhhhhhhh the calming influence of a warm bath.

SpookyAlice · 03/10/2009 20:15
