Welcome to what may be our 21st Healthy Eating thread!

We take it with varying levels of seriousness- in fact we are a pretty light-hearted bunch generally, but we do support each other, whether we are trying to lose a little (or a lot of) weight, or just get fitter.

Shiney is our Glorious Leader , ably backed up by the ass-kicking Sycamoretree and many other lovely regulars.

Come and join us- post as much as you can and join in the fun, nay, the phenomenon that is the Shiney thread

That sounds fair, but I don't blame you for being steaming mad.

BitOfFun · 01/10/2009 23:36

Hmm,quite like BitOfPumpkin

They are bringing out the worst in each other for sure. I don't think she would be doing any of this without showing off/being egged on. Divide And Rule, I reckon.

Thanks to Sarah, nice to get good vibes though . Little precious is still at it at five minute intervals, but she's got to drop soon...can hear her still

Do me too! I don't think I had a halloween name last year and I've not done well at themed name changes so far.

BitOfFun · 01/10/2009 23:46

3 minutes of no noise- please to God let that be it...

Glad you like it BoF, and hope she's settled.

I've not heard from DH, hope it went ok. He'll get in eventually and I'll find out then I'm sure.

I'd better go to bed, busy days ahead.

Night all!

Will register it now then. Iwon't wear it for a while though- I get fed up with the seasonal names too early. Depends what the crowd are doing though

I am rubbish. Don't even know how to namechange. Does MN produce an idiot's guide to MN?

BitOfFun · 02/10/2009 01:56

Maybe try Useful Stuff?

grrr, still up with dd2, neither of us has slept yet. Have been reduced to invoking her guardian angel and reciting Hail Marys, and I lapsed years ago

Am trying to doze on sofa between trips up to calm her down when it reaches neighbour-waking levels. Thankfully dd1 would sleep through the demolition of a building. Wish I could, but I suppose I need to keep an eye on things. I've given her some melatonin in hope of some success, but it doesn't often work these days- will probably help her just stay asleep once she eventually goes, then I won't be able to get her up for school

Have got a hospital appointment myself at ten, so no lie-in, but maybe I will get DP to drive me instead of mum and my mum can take her to school while I'm out if dd needs a bit longer in bed.

And on I witter, do forgive me, getting a bit bonkers with being so knackered now. Right, ciggie next, I think- desperate times and all that....

Morning all, DH has left for 5 days to work down in London, , but have some friends round tonight for pizza wine so .

BOF, hope you managed to get some sleep.

Shine, I agree with BOF, this other girl and your DD obviously bring out the worst in each other. You're right to clamp down hard on her.

Bella, hope you're knee is OK.

Thinking of you today Jet.

Oh, and I am constipated, just so as you know.

daftpunk · 02/10/2009 08:01

thank god it's friday..

like the name slimy...

daftpunk · 02/10/2009 08:02

Lizzylou · 02/10/2009 08:13

I know DP, thought that afterwards

Need to get back onto healthy food, this convenience food/takeaway diet is not good for you. Hopefully cooker will be back on today.

daftpunk · 02/10/2009 08:20

here...just made you a fruit & veg smoothie......good for you..

gotta run...school and all that..

in all day today....so will catch up later..

TrillianAstra · 02/10/2009 08:24

Morning, do me for a recognisable Halloween name per-leeeeeease.

Hope you got some sleep in the end BoF.

Shiney - yep, harshness is the way to go. Especially since she's never really been told off much before, she's testing boundaries and you need to show her that you won't put up with this sort of thing, and that it is not worth it to even try (cos you are a big tough policewoman!).

BitOfFun · 02/10/2009 08:47

Morning all, I won't say goog

Got to sleepbout five and she is fresh as a daisy. I'm not. Dog crapped everywhere, so that was nice. Getting ready for hospital check-up now, where they eill check my blood pressure and have me put down, hopefully...

Alwaus a pleasure to hear of LL's constipation though- cheers
