Welcome to what may be our 21st Healthy Eating thread!

We take it with varying levels of seriousness- in fact we are a pretty light-hearted bunch generally, but we do support each other, whether we are trying to lose a little (or a lot of) weight, or just get fitter.

Shiney is our Glorious Leader , ably backed up by the ass-kicking Sycamoretree and many other lovely regulars.

Come and join us- post as much as you can and join in the fun, nay, the phenomenon that is the Shiney thread

Gosh yes, BOF, I am useless with too little sleep.
I very often sometimes go to bed at 8pm and still find it hard to get up in the morning.

I need sleep, especially when I am stressed or upset or have a lot on.

BitOfFun · 01/10/2009 21:40

You could be there for some time

I am feeling a lot brighter actually- had brought dd down for a snack and change of clothes, put Heart on the radio, and after a little vent here I went through and she was swaying to the music, so we had a little cuddle and bouncy dance around for a bit. I maybe shouldn't have made being up much fun, but she's gone back to bed now happy and relaxed, for now at least, and charmed me again, as she can do with just a giggle, so she has evaded the Frazzled Grump for the evening

I swear it's a Darwinian response in children, which she has honed to perfection: they wait until your lazzy is just about to snap and then bring out the Cute Act...

Yep, kids who don't turn cute just as you're about to strangle them, er, get strangled

Salsavita · 01/10/2009 21:51

Hi everyone

Sorry about your friends little girl jet how awful.

BofF, hope you manage to get some sleep tonight.

I am really tired tonight.

I did a bloody stupid thing this morning.... I "forgot" about my knee and that I cannot bend down on it. I was looking for something in the sideboard and just knelt down... it sort of snapped back and I thought I had really damaged it. Poor DH and the boys were trying to console me and I was just proper wailing like a banshee - 5 mins after I was supposed to be leaving for work! Anyhooo, I went to see the physio today and although it hurts more now than it did, I know I am getting the help I need.

BitOfFun · 01/10/2009 21:52

Oh bella, you dweeb merchant! Don't do it again!!

Salsavita · 01/10/2009 22:02

I won't BofF

It has been a flippin nightmare at work today, 3 sets of police in on 3 different matters, really really busy and parents in and out with stuff their kids have forgotten. Parents not happy about a trip that is on a first come first served basis and that some of them have only just received their letters..... BUT I STILL LOVE IT [GRIN]

Salsavita · 01/10/2009 22:03

Grin Blush

wastingaway · 01/10/2009 22:17

Oh Jet, We're here when you want to talk.

Salsa, you numpty! It is easily done though, when DH sprained his arm, he was always forgetting and overdoing it.

BoF, it's a very good job they're so cute.

Got DS down eventually at 9.30, and I'd be hoping he let us sleep in tomorrow, but British Gas Homecare could arrive any time from 8, so I'll still have to get up anyway. [yawn]

Had a reasonable day foodwise, did a two-hour walk again, so extra points for me.
Got starving hungry by 4 though, so I guess I shouldn't try and save so many points for the evening, and have some fruit mid-afternoon.

SqueezyCheese · 01/10/2009 22:34

G'night ladies (and fingers crossed for a dry night for BoFs DD) .

Will catch up better in the morning.

BitOfFun · 01/10/2009 22:48

Hmm, she has been yowling and thumping the floor, have been up three times since she narrowly averted disaster with me, so my patience is weraing thin, but ten minutes of quiet so far, so fingers crossed...

Hello everyone. If you're still up. Takes me so long to catch up on the thread, I'm almost asleep before I can post! Not that the thread is sleep-enducing you understand, it's just life that does that. V. sad news, Jet - not surprisingly I'm thinking of going off and giving DS a wee hug round about now...

BitOfFun · 01/10/2009 23:07

Oh, still up, yes ...

What's up slimey?

BitOfFun · 01/10/2009 23:22

I'm just pissed off with the yelling and banging and not being able to start winding down yet, Shiney. What's happening at your end? Love the Halloween name- you'll have to help me with one.

Totally justified- you need to bring out the big guns and squash this friendship like a bug now. It is a bad 'un
