Welcome to what may be our 21st Healthy Eating thread!

We take it with varying levels of seriousness- in fact we are a pretty light-hearted bunch generally, but we do support each other, whether we are trying to lose a little (or a lot of) weight, or just get fitter.

Shiney is our Glorious Leader , ably backed up by the ass-kicking Sycamoretree and many other lovely regulars.

Come and join us- post as much as you can and join in the fun, nay, the phenomenon that is the Shiney thread

Sorry still making these sodding Noddy cakes with DD

Lizzylou · 27/09/2009 11:20

Hey ABW, had to have a shower, go for it.

Men are better than cake, I agree

How you doing?

Do the Noddy cakes taste nice, Norma? Not that you'd know, obv, I mean did your DD like them ???

MavisGrind · 27/09/2009 11:22

Morning all, hope the poorly ones of you are feeling better.

My ds1 has also discovered his bits - walked into the lounge to hear him saying "then it goes up, then it goes down..." thank goodness he hasn't asked why yet!

ABitWrong - brazen is the way forward I think! Who knows where brazen may take you.

Right, today I am finishing off all the treats in the house so I can get on the wagon tomorrow. It's a tough job but one I'm prepared to take on...

Have a lovely day everyone.

wastingaway · 27/09/2009 11:22

Morning. Three times I got woken up last night, and only once was it DS.

FuckingBella!!!

Ooh, have a fab time DIB!

Noone answered my random pube question actually it was relevant, regarding the 'type' of men thing. Never gone for blonds.

NormaSknockers · 27/09/2009 11:31

Wasting - yes cuffs usually always match collars DH is blonde

Lizzy - I daren't even attempt to taste one they look fowl, all hard & tiny & bright red icing & some kind of black icing pen decoration! DD seemed to enjoy hers though

Salsavita · 27/09/2009 11:32

Hello

DIB - have a fab time in Biaritz

Hope everyone is well today....

Have had a good productive morning (after my 3 slices of ww toast with homemade blackberry jam spread on top and two coffees). Have sorted through my wardrobe. All summer stuff put away (apart from what I have on and what is in the ironing basket, but it won't take two mins to put with the rest of the stuff). Rest of the wardrobe has been sorted into charity pile and ebay pile. And, and, I flippin well found a pair of Bertie shoes (still in their box) at the back of the wardrobe that I bought in July 2008 - the receipt was still in the box. I completely forgot I had them. They are a closed in toe, but slingbacks with quite a high but chunky heel. Just perfect to wear with or without tights - will look great with some opaque ones or patterned ones. So I am chuffed to bits.

Right, am going to make some scones now as I want to send some up with a jar of the jam to my lovely friend who is going to look after DS2 after school on Friday whilst I am in the hairdressers.

FiveGoMadonTheDanceFloor · 27/09/2009 12:23

Aure you really sure that your lovely freind is not me Salsavita? (said while sat here drooling at the thought of scones and homemade jam)

Salsavita · 27/09/2009 12:28

at Five - I have just taken them out of the oven and they look and smell divine.

VictorMeldrew · 27/09/2009 12:39

aw aw my heads hurts

Lizzylou · 27/09/2009 12:44

DIB is off to Biaritz? Hope you have fun.

Salsa, I really want homemade scones and homemade jam, come live near me, I'll look after your DS for repayment like that!

Over do it, Victor?

VictorMeldrew · 27/09/2009 12:46

some bugger spiked my diet coke with vodka

Salsavita · 27/09/2009 12:49

Fancy a fry up Victor

VictorMeldrew · 27/09/2009 12:51

will you cook it for me bella?

the mention of scones and cream has got me salivating too

VictorMeldrew · 27/09/2009 12:56

Thinking about roast dinners now too mmm

Salsavita · 27/09/2009 12:56

Yep, no problem Victor

TrillianAstra · 27/09/2009 12:58

Morning afternoon all.

Salsavita · 27/09/2009 12:59

Hey Trill, can I interest you in a greasy fry up?

TrillianAstra · 27/09/2009 13:01

No thanks Bella. I think I want carbs, not grease.

A massive bag of jelly babies wouldn't go amiss either...

Salsavita · 27/09/2009 13:03

Mmm, I love jelly babies.

Btw - I am not having a fry up. I have just had a grated cheese sandwhich with sliced home grown tomatoes in ww bread.

TrillianAstra · 27/09/2009 13:05

Oooh, home grown tomatoes, get you!

DP is making (heating up from a tin) some soup.

wastingaway · 27/09/2009 13:06

Greasy carbs.

Salsavita · 27/09/2009 13:07

I am having a bit of a smug day today Trill, especially after my shoe find in the back of the wardrobe!

wastingaway · 27/09/2009 13:12

Yes, well done on the shoes!
I love finding things I'd forgotten I had. I'm in the middle of a major de-clutter and keep finding all sorts, but having to put them in the carboot pile. Unused wedding presents etc.
I'm keeping the damn pasta maker though, I
have used that.
At least twice.
Well, twice.

Salsavita · 27/09/2009 13:15

Twice is better than a big fat 0 wasting

wastingaway · 27/09/2009 13:21

It was about three years ago mind, since DS arrived, I haven't the energy for that sort of culinary madness.

I'll get my kitchen-groove back soon. I hope. I am boooooored of bolognese and roast chicken all the time.
