Welcome to what may be our 21st Healthy Eating thread!

We take it with varying levels of seriousness- in fact we are a pretty light-hearted bunch generally, but we do support each other, whether we are trying to lose a little (or a lot of) weight, or just get fitter.

Shiney is our Glorious Leader , ably backed up by the ass-kicking Sycamoretree and many other lovely regulars.

Come and join us- post as much as you can and join in the fun, nay, the phenomenon that is the Shiney thread

not aloowed to mn - too drunk

came home from party as feeling tired and if i closed my eyes i felt dizzy. left dp there as he was not similarly afflicted.

didn't eat much badness while at party though (tries to be relevant to thread's supposed purpose)

Iggi999 · 27/09/2009 00:30

Been catching up - have two pampass grass bushes in front garden, should I dig them up? We didn't plant them, they just appeared! Previous owners were in their 80s, so can' imagine they swang much.. Have spent much of evening eating takeaway (oh bad bad bad iggi) and helping friend with her match.com search for love.

Iggi999 · 27/09/2009 00:38

And now taking lardy body off to bed! Oh well, tomorrow is another day - and did have fun tonight. Night, sleeping threaders

NormaSknockers · 27/09/2009 07:29

Morning all,

Sleep well? Am most peed off, snuck on the scales this morning & they didn't budge, humph I guess I still have 3 days so hopefully things will change by then!

Bella27 · 27/09/2009 07:48

NormaSknockers · 27/09/2009 09:18

Of course

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 27/09/2009 09:21

Mmmm..thanks, and the good thing about virtual tea is no washing up!

NormaSknockers · 27/09/2009 09:29

Very true

Lizzylou · 27/09/2009 09:30

Morning all, DH very kindly let me a have a lie in this morning, brought me a cup of coffee in bed so I could snooze and have some peace.
DS2 followed him upstairs and got his zoo animals out so we had a lovely time playing lions and tigers on the duvet, which wasn't the relaxing lie in I was imagining, but I got loads of snuggles so never mind.

V gloomy and drab here today, have lots of housework to do n all. For now I will MN and drink coffee though I think.

NormaSknockers · 27/09/2009 09:35

Sounds like a nice start to the morning Lizzie Bless DS2 sounds a real cutie!

Sun is shining here...still weather has been so lovely lately! We've got a birthday party today, kind of dreading it as a) I'll find it soooo hard to resist the buffet & b) they all smoke in the house which I don't like the children being around (I'm an ex smoker but never smoked in the house)

Lizzylou · 27/09/2009 09:37

OOH, I smoked as well Norma, but never in the house, even when I lived on my own!

Perhaps gagging from smoke inhalation will mean you can't overdo it at the buffet?

DS2 is cute, fiery and stubborn but very luscious, and he knows it.

NormaSknockers · 27/09/2009 09:48

I'm hoping we can go into the garden at least, I was the same Lizzy never, ever smoked in the house even when I lived alone & I would never smoke around the children if I still smoked. Trouble is there's 3 smokers who live in the house & another 4+ smokers who will be going & they all gather in the kitchen to smoke which is in the middle of the house so you can't really escape it. I think the nicotine layer on the food will put me off.....maybe

Sounds very much like my DS, are you wrapped round his little finger?

I love those mornings when you are a racetrack, or a humpy hill for animals or such like.

DD likes role playing Fairy tales and when we do the prince waking the princess with a kiss bit, and I have to ask her is she will marry me she shouts NO with an evil cackle.

Yesterday I had a shower but got back in bed cos I was feeling ropey (did I mention I wasn't very well?), and she said, ''you didn't get your make up off properly'')..So I said ''well, I don't feel too great sweetie and I sort of couldn't be bothered''

''Well'', she sighed, ''that's just how Mothers get these days''

FiveGoMadonTheDanceFloor · 27/09/2009 10:25

Goog morning all.

Hope all sick DC's and MN'ers are feeling better today. Last night was DS's turn to cough and then spectaularly throw up, luckily for me it was DH's turn to sleep on the sofa and I managed to sleep until 8 which is unheard of.

The sun is shining here, so hoepfully will hack at the garden some more and then cook lunch and catch up on Strictly.

Lizzylou · 27/09/2009 10:27

at your DD TMW.

Are you not well? You never said!

I did enjoy the wild animal bed playing but had to draw the line when he was tring to get the elephant to breastfeed from my nipple. He is a tad obsessed with breasts and nipples.

NormaSknockers · 27/09/2009 10:31

ROFL Lizzy @ your DS I have an image in my head now of a breast feeding elephant My DS is 14 months & has a thing about shoving his hand down my top when he's tired - sincerely hope he grows out of that one!

TWM that is so funny about your DD loving ''that's just how Mothers get these days''

NormaSknockers · 27/09/2009 10:32

Making Noddy cakes with DD, they're just in the oven, thankfully the mix tastes fowl so has prevented me licking out the bowl like I usually would Much prefer home made ones but DD insisted we needed to buy the Noddy ones

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 27/09/2009 10:37

I don't like to mention it Lizzy, I am the 'just get on with it sort' ye know,

Lizzylou · 27/09/2009 10:37

Norma, he is obsessed with breasts and his penis. Far too much actually, potty training was a nightmare, he was so busy fiddling he used to spray all over himself.

Noddy cakes sound like the dieters way forward. Cake mix is so much better than actual cake, so when I make the boys cakes I can virtuously say I haven't had a cake, but normally decline to mention I ate half the mix!

NormaSknockers · 27/09/2009 10:44

Ah never thought of it like that Lizzy Managed to burn my arm on the oven shelf as I was getting said Noddy cakes out, damn things don't even look edible! I dread to think what goes into these packet mixes Managed to convince DD that next time we'll do homemade ones with Barbie sprinkles instead

DS has just discovered his dinkle too, I swear he's going to pull the damn thing off soon

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 27/09/2009 10:45

Sounds like most men Lizzy God luv' 'em!!

ABitWrong · 27/09/2009 10:51

Cakemixes are sweetened sawdust with baking powder.

I think if you are being good with food then men are permissable.

So, do I ask an extremely gorgeous man for a birthday hug on Monday? Is that brazen? Do I care?
