Welcome to what may be our 21st Healthy Eating thread!

We take it with varying levels of seriousness- in fact we are a pretty light-hearted bunch generally, but we do support each other, whether we are trying to lose a little (or a lot of) weight, or just get fitter.

Shiney is our Glorious Leader , ably backed up by the ass-kicking Sycamoretree and many other lovely regulars.

Come and join us- post as much as you can and join in the fun, nay, the phenomenon that is the Shiney thread

Evening all and have vaguely caught up. Had a good night with DB and his girlfriend, she hates being called a partner. Nephews (3 of ranging from 25 - 7) were great and looked after DD. DB's girlfriend is of for her first course of chemo next week having had a mastectomy 3 weeks ago and looking fabulous. She has been given a good prognosis and is very much looking forward to having a reconstruction as they are taking the fat from her tummy to do it. I know it sounds weird but getting on a lot better with DB since he split up with wife. can talk the hind leg of donkey with his girlfriend but always and still do run out of things to say with his ex.

MavisGrind · 26/09/2009 22:20

Speaking of god (sort of) I drove past a church today with pampas grass outside. Pretty progressive if you ask me..

daftpunk · 26/09/2009 22:21

oh that means something doesn't it....can't remember what..?

MavisGrind · 26/09/2009 22:24

A hankering for swinging...at least the pampas grass was in the front garden..

wastingaway · 26/09/2009 22:27

I'm off to bed, I can't make any sense of anything.

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 26/09/2009 22:27

Didn't Faithless say 'God is a D J?'

FiveGoMadonTheDanceFloor · 26/09/2009 22:28

God is a woman

NormaSknockers · 26/09/2009 22:29

A house 3 houses down from us has pampas grass in their front garden always makes me giggle when I walk past.....although they do kind of look like swingers - whatever swingers look like that is

I wasn't immediately attracted to DH I have to admit but the more I got to know him the more scrummy he became, I think he's gorgeous now

daftpunk · 26/09/2009 22:31

what does it mean if it's in the back garden..?

MavisGrind · 26/09/2009 22:34

The pampas grass thing falls into the category of "things I learned on mumsnet".

As regards men. Pah! (The pah of the newly abandoned with two kids). For me to be remotely interested they would have to be perfect. Or David Tennant. In the Dr Who brown suit.

NormaSknockers · 26/09/2009 22:35

I dread to think...

MavisGrind · 26/09/2009 22:36

MavisGrind · 26/09/2009 22:41

NormaSknockers · 26/09/2009 22:50

DreamsInBinary · 26/09/2009 22:51

MavisGrind · 26/09/2009 22:52

Oh Norma, we've only just met! Nah, he's mine I'm afraid. I have greater need . Now, I could let you have Edward Norton on a Wednesday or John Cusak every other Friday if you're interested?

NormaSknockers · 26/09/2009 22:58
