Shiney - yes I am enjoying the job and the knee is getting better by the day, still restricted on some stuff though. Wow you have been a busy girl...

BIWI - well done on your weight loss.

Right, amm off shopping before I go to work. See ya!

TrillianAstra · 15/09/2009 08:58

Bye guys/girls/ladies/whatever you want to be called, hope job continues to go well Bella, good luck for the birthday party Shiney, come back on the wagon at some point.

Weaher forrecast is now a bit more like this, but we are optimistic that 'heavy rain shower' means once, at about 8am, and that once we get up it will be brilliant sunshine .

Be good, but not too good. I was 9.13 on the scales this morning, you can have a sweepstake as to how much I will gain on a week in cheese and wine country.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 15/09/2009 09:18

Morning ladies! Feeling a lot better this morning, so off to a music class with DS later. It should count as one of my exercise slots it's so knackering. We do dancing, and DS is very heavy to fling around!

Back on the wagon today, usual cereal and banana for breakfast. At a friend's for lunch but I shall try not to eat too much and then spag bol with salad for dinner.

Have a good day everyone

DoNotBringLulu · 15/09/2009 09:20

Trill - Bon Voyage!

Bella, your job is definitely not boring, and it's so eye opening when you know someone who works in a secondary school - my sister is a head teacher, she told me a story of how some excluded girls gatecrashed the school, pursued another girl to attack her. When this poor soul was taken to a place of safety by the Assistant Head they were banging on the door. As you say, most kids are fine.

TW - Have a good walk, I am off to aerobics after I've done the soddin housework, well done to all you ladies with the exercise.

Lizzy - I was about to moan that my cat woke me up at 5am and ask for any good cat recipes (cat curry? cat soup? Low fat of course), but I'd better keep quiet as you were 4AM.

My waist measurement is getting on for my boobs measurement, so I have got to keep going, I will be so happy when I have my waist back!!

DoNotBringLulu · 15/09/2009 09:22

Ali, glad you are feeling better. I used to go to a singing class with my dc, there are alot of new songs round, I'd never heard of DingleDangle scarecrow before or hot little rabbits!

DoNotBringLulu · 15/09/2009 09:25

ha ha, hop little rabbits, sounds like an Ann Summers party or something. Must preview before I post!

Lizzylou · 15/09/2009 09:45

LOl at Hot little rabbits, Lulu.

Hope everyone has good day, have to crack on (get off MN) and do some work, when I got myself motivated yesterday I got some good results so am buoyed by that.

Reddy, well done, 5lbs off is fab.

Ali, I kind of miss music groups now. I used to take DS1 to one led by this mad music teache called Shirley, she was bonkers and used to get all huffy if we didn't remember her lovingly made up songs, a Victoria Wood sketch waiting to happen. Me and my friend used to sit at the back sniggering like school girls.

Shiney, hope that your friend is sorted now (were the Rocky Roads good? DH's birthday soon and he would love them).

FB, I made flapjacks with the DS's yesterday after school and strangely they had a life of their own too, kept finding oat crumbs in my mouth (very low GI and full of soluble fibre, Oats. Not sure about the butter and sugar though).

DoNotBringLulu · 15/09/2009 10:04

Reddy, I love your name [smile}

Well done on the 5lb.

DoNotBringLulu · 15/09/2009 10:04

vacaloca · 15/09/2009 10:05

Hi, just signing in briefly.

NaughtyAlice - I did an hour's pilates yesterday. And it was haaaard. Can I have a smiley please?

I'm going to try and keep myself away from MN today, I'm afraid. Just falling behind with work and I'm going to get into trouble if I don't finish something today.

Don't do anything I wouldn't.

NaughtyAlice · 15/09/2009 10:13

Morning all

Well done Reddy (are you a namechanger? or have i missed you?)

Well done on exercise TMW and Ali (one each see )

I have just had rather a stressful morning. First came downstairs to play hunt the cat poo, Loki had done it right by his litter tray (at least he is getting closer) but has the worst wind ever so my house smells of cat fart. DD and i went up to the horses (bloody cold) then on to homebase where i had to get some rough looking builders to free my trolley from all the others wished i hadn't bothered with the bloody thing as it had a mind of its own and i can now feel my biceps bulging with the effort it took to keep it vaguely in the right direction. Get home and have to juggle toddler, 2 teddy bears, a bag of compost, planting pots, hand trowel and fork up my street because i have to park so far from my bloody house. DD decides she doesn't want to go in the right direction and when i go to grab her i trip over the bloody plant pots and go flying. Then use my supernanny/scary mum voice which made my neighbour give me the look. Now back inside drinking water as i happen to have another UTI - fab

NaughtyAlice · 15/09/2009 10:14

Vacaloca

GetOrfMoiLand · 15/09/2009 10:35

Hello everyone - hope all is well.

I need to stay away from the crap mothers thread, it is making me miserable. Some people are idiots.

I have got a helluva busy day at work but have got rest of week off (yayayayay!!!) to ostensibly catch up on paperwork/housework (pah) and look for a car etc. I will be lying in bed til 10 and ponceing about for the 3 days. That is a plan

Lizzylou · 15/09/2009 10:47

Gerroff, just read your post on there

There is such a difference between saying "shit!" when you stub your toe in front of your DC and calling them a "Fucking Stupid Bitch" or whatever.

But if you say anything, you think you're perfect

Just had special k, pineapple and low fat yog.

Off to do more work

Alice, ouch and poooh! at your morning. Reddy is, I think, BecauseI'mworthit.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 15/09/2009 11:09

Morning all.

can anyone tell me how I managed to sleep through fire engines screaming past my house as apparently there were 15 in the village last night along with 55 firemen as three thatched cottages caught on fire. Must have been tired.

Just having a break as have done 1.5 hours of gardening, must go out and move everyting into one pile.

Well done on your weight loss BIWI.

DEM - hope you have a better day today.

NaughtyAlice · 15/09/2009 11:18

Are you any good at gardening Fanny? DD and i have just spent about 45 mins 'planting' bulbs (have no idea if we will ever see them again ) and it is bloody hard work! Have had to have a chocolate biscuit to keep my strength up

FiveGoMadInDorset · 15/09/2009 11:22

We are gutting it at the moment to redo over the winter. The people who were in here before were a retired couple who had plenty of gardening time and could afford a gardener. I am enthusiatic rather than good. Provided you planted them the right way up they will be fine.

Thanks for the nice comments about my morning exercise. To be honest it is a little bit about keeping the black dog at bay as mornings can be a really difficult time.

Sounds like a tough school to work in Bella, a lot of these kids are so screwed up they are hard to untangle. Few children are like that by nature. DS has done the chair throwing thing, despite/because the computer is one of his favourite things. Raising their self esteem and getting them to believe they are capable of so much more gets harder and harder as they get older. and sadly it spirals so quickly because often the guilt and shame triggers them to behave even worse.

Fab on weight loss BIWI,

I appear to have lost 2lb but won't really count it unless it stays off.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 15/09/2009 15:19

I so agree with you about exercise is good both for your physical and your mental health.

Fingers crossed that the 2lbs stay of.

Alice - I have done a dog march this morning, definitely not dawdling, listened to 3 episodes of the Archers so about 45 mins

Fivegomad - i too can sleep through anything - possibly due to the breathing machine i need to use and its low humming noise, but i generally miss all the goings on outside!

Getorf - hope you ok and the UTI not too bad, if thats possible. Junior gets them all the time due to her kidney reflux, and they are horrid I wouldnt worry about the crap mothers thread either - I agree with Lizzy

Lunch today - WW bread with Laughing cow cheese, thin slice ham and pickle - yum

Tea - doing a chicken casserole in the oven - it smells lovely, so just waiting for junior to get in then we can dig in!

Got my next weigh in next week - i desperately want to have done better than last month!

Oh, and i can i ask your opinions? I am rapidly running out of clothes as they are all too big now I am down to 2 pairs jeans and a few tshirt tops. At what point should i splash out on a new wardrobe, as while i am motivated, i am convincing myself that i will keep getting smaller Money is tight so cant afford to buy clothes that will only fit for a few weeks

jetcat32 · 15/09/2009 15:42

Sazzles - thats some price reduction!! Well done you!
