I read the beginning of that thread, GetOrf and decided to avoid it!

DoNotBringLulu · 14/09/2009 09:15

Morning Sazz, morning Getorf

I am just off the the gym, well done on your exercise. Just dropped dc off.

I am sorry if I've said anything insensitive to anyone or (unintentionally) ignored anything brill like a successful weigh-in.

My yr 7 old ds has just cried all the way to school - because I crossed his name off his labels, wrote dd's name on them, and put it on his sister's shoes, lunchbox. He's worried everyone will thihk they used to be his.

Just ordering some new labels.

GetOrfMoiLand · 14/09/2009 09:22

Lulu - bless your son. Stuff like that is so important to them, isn't it.

I remember dd being mortified when I did that whole gloves on a bit of elastic through the sleeves thing. She sobbed 'I won't lose them, mummy, I won't, I won't, please don't make me go to school like that!'

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 14/09/2009 09:24

Morning everyone

Well done on the losses TW and Flamingo!

Still poorly here, I've had a bacon and egg sarnie for breakfast and some apple and pear juice. Lunch will probably be soup, and then spaghetti bolognese for dinner. Going to try not to snack and then at least it will be a maintaining day. Not going to do any exercise while I feel so rubbish, may get out for a little walk later if the rain stays away.

DoNotBringLulu · 14/09/2009 09:27

thanks Getorf, I really try but sometimes I just put my foot in it. Maybe I am living up to my name!!

Morning Ali, I am going to try not to snack also, I hope you feel better soon. Is it just you who's been poorly or dc's as well?

Lizzylou · 14/09/2009 09:39

Lulu, I always put my foot in it, no worries, I haven't noticed you doing that at all!

I sooo want a power plate, or access to one.

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 14/09/2009 09:39

I have just opened the door to two separate customers who have both said ''oh dear! you do look poorly''

And I was just starting to feel a bit perkier.

You can do it getorf, that is the spirit.

I'll just sit grumpily in the corner and bark 'drink more water' sporadically.

Loads to do so am going to say bye for now..

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 14/09/2009 09:46

Thanks Lulu - it's just me fortunately, DS is full of beans as usual, which you can view as either good or not! He is climbing all over me at the moment, and I have to confess that I wouldn't mind if he was just a little bit subdued!!

Lizzylou · 14/09/2009 09:48

Whats up, Ali?

There are lots of bugs and stuff going round at the moment, it's that back to school/preschool bug fest I think.

TrillianAstra · 14/09/2009 09:49

Morning all. In work. Last day in work for a week - woohoo!

FlamingoBingo · 14/09/2009 09:51

Lulu - I haven't noticed any feet in mouth from you on here!

Right, I need to report my good mummy-ness this morning, for posterity, you understand. Once in a blue moon Every now and then, I try to do that flylady thing and it's really helpful when I do.

This morning, already, I have cleared my hotspots, played sharks, done a 5 minute room rescue, done my laundry, make some bread dough with DD3 for them all to make rolls out of for lunch later, done breakfast, somehow got everyone to get dressed, cleaned the kitchen floor.

Lizzylou · 14/09/2009 09:54

FB, that made me knackered just reading it!

TA, are you "Trillian" as well?

TrillianAstra · 14/09/2009 09:57

Is she up to tricks again?

No. I'm not. When I joined the name was taken but had been used on one thread more than 3 years earlier, so I foolishly assumed that it would not be a problem. She doesn't seem to see any problem in being potentially confused with me. I am less happy about it, but there's not anything I can do.

TrillianAstra · 14/09/2009 10:00

See as long as she says 'my DCs' lots then I have no problem, as I figure anyone who knows me knows that I don't have DCs, so will notice that something is up.

IWantAChickAndADuck · 14/09/2009 10:01

Morning everyone

I ate the cake last night I'm really crap at weekends. Wondering if it's a bad thing though? I do the special K thing during the week then let go at the weekend..thats ok...isn't it?

Lizzylou · 14/09/2009 10:03

Aaah, I see. I was confused, but thought you may have been quoting somebody.
There are lots of people with similar names to me. When I came back on MN after a bit of a break after having DS2, there was one new, really popular poster and people thought I'd copied her name , I had to point out that I'd been here since 2004

FlamingoBingo · 14/09/2009 10:04

Chickandaduck - I've heard it can actually help in dieting to eat your target calories 6 days a week, and up to your burnt calories 1 day a week to reassure your body you're not starving. If your body thinks you're starving, it lays down fat and slows your metabolism

Lizzylou · 14/09/2009 10:04

Chickandaduck, I think it depends on how much cake you consume

I have to say I love Special K, but couldn't do the SK diet plan as would have a pack a day.

IWantAChickAndADuck · 14/09/2009 10:10

That makes me feel much better Flamingo!

It was quite alot of cake Lizzy once I start I can't stop!! SK suits me as I only really have time for a small bowl, although I may be substituting the lunch one for soup soon, it's freezing!!

I've actually missed my bowl this morning, DS1's first day at nusery school and I feel sick

Lizzylou · 14/09/2009 10:30

AW, Chickandaduck, he will love it, hard though when they are growing up, isn't it?

I haven't eaten anything yet either, just feel a bit bloated and full.

NaughtyAlice · 14/09/2009 11:14

Good Morning lovely ladies

I'm glad everyone is a bit perkier today, congratulations to all losers and lemsip for all poorly people

Weighed myself this morning and i am just under 10st I am not calorie counting anymore, just trying to remember all the good eating habits which seems to be working ok for now. Didn't do any real exercise last week other than the general graft of having horses. Today however i am hoping to go out for a ride with a friend, will be about 40mins. Looking forward to that.

Alice, my Catholic background prevents me from not pointing out that actually I should be on the naughty step, I didn't fulfill the exercise challenge last week.

SC, I wish I liked bananas, they are so portable and convenient and DH says they are filling. I just can't make myself like them.
