I have just spent ALL MORNING (really, all morning) reading this thread.

I'm paying for childcare so I can work. You're being a very bad influence. And now I can't even remember anything I was going to say to various people after reading all this.

Only a big hug to ABW - great to read some more cheerful posts from you over the last couple of days. You were given some great advice from BoF, DEM and others.

The other bad influence is that, because I've lost some weight, I felt I was justified in buying some clothes, so I've spent a fortune (that I don't have) buying clothes and shoes this weekend - No, I havne't lost weight on my feet, but new clothes demanded new shoes. I really hope I'll get some freelance work over the next few days to cover that.

I went for a run this morning but they were mowing the field with some big tractors so went back home (wuss).

vacaloca · 14/09/2009 11:36

I forgot to say it's also my DD's bday party this saturday. Thanks for some great tips Syc. Do you think a biscuit cutter would work?

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 14/09/2009 12:05

Alice, I'm only allowed half a smiley because I only did 2 x 30 mins

Lizzy - I've just got a horrid cold. Day 5 now so I'm getting very fed up and being pathetic. I don't do ill very well!

Sazzles - sorry .

I have drunk water and not snacked at all this morning so far.

TrillianAstra · 14/09/2009 13:05

Leftover curry for lunch, mmm. And having a slice of coffee and walnut cake. I brought the whole cake into work so I wouldn't have to eat more than a slice of it.

FlamingoBingo · 14/09/2009 13:18

Small homemade rolls for lunch - I had a pate one, and a brie and homemade red onion chutney one, and half of one with homemade plum jam on.

I think probably bigger in terms of calories than it needed to be, but not too big so long as I don't have any snacks today.

I'm not calorie counting proper now, just knowing kind of how much food I was able to eat when counting. I do give myself more treats now, though, so if my weight gain does really slow down ever, I'll get back on FF to speed it up again!

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 14/09/2009 14:27

Lunch was soup with bread, and then some grapes. Now I'm having a cup of tea - still no snacks!

Mmmm coffee and walnut cake - yum yum!

jetcat32 · 14/09/2009 15:23

hi guys. Sorry for abruptly leaving you all on the last thread, my computer crashed and is just sorted now!

Hope everyone is ok, and i will try and catch up later when little one has gone to bed.

Completly messed up today Bought a packet of sweet mince pies as Junior loves them - big mistake I will have to tell her to hide them in her room! As a disclaimer though, i did check the fat content (as even Junior needs to be careful now) and they are only a little over what i am allowed for a snack

TrillianAstra · 14/09/2009 15:32

Mince pies? It's September! No mince pies allowed until December 1st!

GetOrfMoiLand · 14/09/2009 15:42

Lol at mince pies.

Ooh, could just eat one, actually.

It reminds me that years ago I used to buy chocolates etc from August onwards in preparation for Christmas. Until me and a friend got a bit tipdy one night and raided the stash, and ate all the milky button tubes and selection packs.

I now leave Christmas chocolate purchases right up to the last minute - less danger that way!

FiveGoMadInDorset · 14/09/2009 15:47

Smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel for breakfast and beans on toast and half a melon for lunch, just had a tracker but I am having a prawn, chorizo and rice on pot dish for supper which is low fat.

Alice - I have a sodding great blister on my heel which means walking is out this week so will have to make do with sawing away at bushes in the garden which did make me sweat yesterday.

Lizzylou · 14/09/2009 15:51

Fivegomad, your chorizo and prawn dish sounds fab, could you/have you put it on the recipe thread?

Jet, I LOVE Mince pies. Can't have em in the house.

jetcat32 · 14/09/2009 16:01

soz Trill - i normally have that rule as well, but i was well flustered this morning while shopping and they just looked like proper comfort food

And i so know what you mean about chocolate GOML - i usually go through at least 6 selection boxes before Junior gets hers Think this year i will follow your lead and not get any till Christmas Eve

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 14/09/2009 16:05

The salmon and cream cheese has tempted my taste buds.

I'm with the mince pies any time crew. Warm with cream.....oh bliss!

I am going to make myself a christmas style fruit cake which is very low in fat and is packed with iron rich fruits and nuts.

It is so lovely here today. A lounge in a hammock sort of day, with some kind soul supplying drinks and snacks.

DidEinsteinsMum · 14/09/2009 17:38

Mince pies mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Cant wait til we get making those but as we cant have grapes in the house due to ds' allergies we have to get creative. We have an alternative that tastes almost the same. Very delish and home made. sigh.

But

Forgive me shiney for i have sinned. i fell of the diet and today have eaten:
4 chocolate bars,
half a packet of chocolate biscuits
1 ltr coke
1 250 camembert cheese turned into cheesy sauce and poured over a baked potatoe
4 slices of bread turned into ham sandwiches.
Meatballs in gravy over potatoes and veg.
1 bottle of pop.
I am no sure how to get back on the wagon as i am knackered and all i want to do is to crawl into a cupboard and hide. But i have a lesson to finish preping that i havent been able to get done this weekend and its not looking promising tonight. Tomo is a no starter and the lesson needs to be delivered on wednesday. I am stuffed. Completely and uterly stuffed.

Anyone got any sensible suggestions about how to pick this one up? Pretty please.

TrillianAstra · 14/09/2009 18:02

Mmm, camembert.

Naughty DEM. Stop eating. You are not hungry any more. You appear to have had 3 large savoury meals as well as all the crap. Go drink some water. The only suggestion I have is: stop now, and don't start again.

Dem, you sound like your vices are cheese and chocolate, mine too.

Stop now, don't have these things in the house as Sazzles says. I have zero willpower so only hvae low fat cheddar/laughing cow extra light and no choc in, I know it's not as much fun, but you do get used to it.

Alice, have done 30mins football with DS's and neighbour's son. Added benefit that now they may return the favour and entertain my kids. Downside are that my shins will be black and blue tomorrow and I think I may have pulled my inner thigh (trying to stop the ball from hiting neighbours car).

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 14/09/2009 18:44

I am quietly in awe of what you have eaten today DEM....I am dying to have a blowout like that....but yes, stpop now because it just makes you feel worse and worse..

I don't know about the lesson prep...Do you have a lunch break you could sacrifice, or could your H juggle things to give you some time? Any back lessons that could be modified to this one? Get up extra early tomorow to do a 'skeleton' lesson that you can fill in as and when you get ideas and 5 minutes?

bellavita · 14/09/2009 18:56

Mmmmm I love mince pies. I have ignored them when they popped out to me on the on-line Tesco shop, but how long I can go on ignoring is anyones guess....

Had a ham sandwich for lunch in ww bread and a banana and apple.

Baked potato with tuna and salad for tea which I am just enjoying now

Well done for any weight losses.

FlamingoBingo · 14/09/2009 19:02

DEM - I'd say stop now and clean slate for NOW, not tomorrow!

Think of all of us next time you are tempted!

No exercise today, but, apart from half a biscuit, have just eaten:

Oatibix for breakfast
Rolls for lunch
And this for supper with rice, but only a little bit

So I think I've done well today.

Iggi999 · 14/09/2009 19:29

DEM is it a crit lesson or something? I can almost guarantee that you are going to try a million times harder than you need to to make it perfect! As someone who has been through it (not same subject though) if there's anything I could do to help, please ask.
Well, not lost any weight, NEVER managed 30 mins of exercise so not much to be happy about... BUT have only had a couple of regular-person sized chocolate bars, nothing family sized, and have managed a few 10-15 min slots on the old exercise machine - and started to get to know lots of really lovely (albeit slightly wicked) people! So, a good week for me!!

IWantAChickAndADuck · 14/09/2009 19:32

Is this how it works then, we come on and put all of what we've eaten on here? Is so this will be great for me... I've tried food diaries but I always lie forget to put stuff down. I can't lie if I'm telling actual people.
So with that in mind this is what I have consumed today:

Special K cereal bar
Cocktail Sausage
Half a sausage roll
2 small bites of victoria sponge left from last night (I thought I did well not to finish it!?)
Pototo, cheese, bacon pie type concoction for dinner, but probably ate more than I should have

Am supposed to be doing the special K thing but it's gone to pot as I have run out, hence grabbing whatever I saw in the fridge all day !!

Hmmm IWant, I don't think cocktail sausages, sausage rolls and victoria sponges are supposed to be that good for you. but at least you have told us what you have had!

Start again tomorrow, but without all of the above

bellavita · 14/09/2009 19:37

Eh up, we had better behave now, the food police are about... Put that truncheon away MsShiney.
