Well done VT on the buttie refusal.

Sazzles - well done! I always find that there are some weeks where, despite sticking to the rules, no weight appears to disappear - but the main thing is that its evening out over the weeks and coming off - well done!

Turned up at a book group yesterday evening and found all sorts laid out - crisps, chocolates, olives etc etc etc (oh, wine and smoothies too). Managed to have a glass of apple juice and some water

Morning.

Going back to read thread.

VinegarTits · 19/06/2009 10:30

It was BOF who started with the tits

Next you know she'll be talking about bumsex, she always lowers the tone

bellavita · 19/06/2009 10:31

shine - 4 pages

Sycamoretreeisvile · 19/06/2009 10:35

Sazzles, you absolute STAR!

You are doing brilliantly, super well done darlink. You may collect your gold star and sit at the front of the class near teacher (I am actually not sure who teacher is on this thread, but sit next to her anyway as you have ROCKED your diet this week).

I love this thread. I love how we are all quite good about talking about our food and logging it in etc in the day and then have a nice old natter of an evening.

My DH also gets quite about MN in the evenings, but I am usually ok if he was one of his type of programmes on and I sit by him with the laptop.

Anyway, I have lied and told him I am cutting down and only posting on my healthy eating thread, which is really helping me (which is not a lie) so he's happy enough with that.

Actually, bacon butties aren't as bad as you think. It's the one thing I allow myself if I really can't face another low fat yog/fruit based brekka.

Like BOF says, if you cut the fat off the bacon, grill it, and put it in a toasted english muffin for eg, or a bagel, or WW/nimble bread...don't use any butter and don't go crazy with the ketchup, it's really not that evil. Lean grilled bacon is quite a low calorie source of protein and tastiness. It's not much worse than having an egg on toast for e.g.

Right - this post is long already but I want to post something else so I'm going to do a quick job and come back to do that in 2 mins.

Still lovin' your work you bunch of focussing hussies

Sycamoretreeisvile · 19/06/2009 10:45

For Bella...

Tomorrow I will mostly be at the school fete.

Tomorrow night I will mostly be at The Royal Albert Hall to see The King and I starring him off of LOST.

And next Weds I am mostly going to a screening of the luscious Johnny Depp in Public Enemies.

daftpunk · 19/06/2009 10:59

morning

well done saz!

snap sycamore...our school fete tomorrow...can't wait.

and don't mention johnny depp this early in the morning..

Sycamoretreeisvile · 19/06/2009 11:03

So, the serious thing I wanted to post (and sorry, I realise I am incapable of short posts - I don't know what it says about me but I'd probably rather not think to hard about that

I think I'm about 5 weeks in on my diet - 3 weeks in on this thread almost, and I think my initial zeal is starting to wane. I'm allowing myself bits and pieces here and there that I shouldn't and it's going to make a difference in the loss.

SO - in case anyone else is feeling the same, I'm issuing a re-group vibe to the thread. Time to re-focus on goals and examine what it is we're eating and whether we're being honest with ourselves. I also want to make a statement of intent for the coming week - feel free to join in if you think it will help you!

I, Sycamoretree of the House of Vile, accept that eating 20 WW points, whilst being my legal WW allowance, is not helping me shed the pounds at the rate I would like. As of today, I'm reducing to 18 points and I promise to stick to it religiously for a week at least to see if it makes a difference.

There, said it now. You are all my witnesses. I must do it.

mrsboogie · 19/06/2009 11:05

morning all

blimey this thread moves fast

so, we can log housework on FF?? Great, I have sis and her bf coming tomorrow and the house is a tip! (working full time, a teething 9 month old and a mumsnet habit do not leave much room for housework)

but I stayed under my 1400 FF allowance yesterday (just)

I have the day off work today and my little man is down for his nap so must away to clean and tidy....

Sycamoretreeisvile · 19/06/2009 11:07

Not same school fete DP?

You're not in London are you?

Good luck with your fete duties. I've got to shop for my cupcake ingredients today. I'm a bit ashamed to be so excited but like FabBakerGirl, I do like a good bake off. Makes me come over all Domestic Goddess...

Guess what ladies, look at this for fab customer service from Plumo. Got this email this morning:

Dear Sycamoretree

I have just spoken to your husband with regards to the damaged bench and the fact that you were also overcharged for this item. I have processed the full refund today, which should show on your account in the next 2-3 days. The collection of the damaged bench will be made on Monday between 9.30am and 4.30pm by parcelforce. Please include your details within the box.

Many apologies for the inconvenience caused.

Kind regards

What a result.

VinegarTits · 19/06/2009 11:09

I, VinegarTits of the house of erm.. tits, will stick to my WW free food allowance only, and stop being dishonest with myself and eating behind my own back, i promise to stick to this religiously for 1 hour one day, and if i make it through that day i promise to stick to it the next day and the day after that

Signed

Vinny of the tits

daftpunk · 19/06/2009 11:11

Vinegar - good promise. Very good idea to break down time into manageable chunks.

Who was it who said "one day at a time?". Sometimes, we have to go an hour at a time.

"I will not eat that chocolate bar for at least and hour, and then I will review the situation and see if I can go another hour and hopefully I'll be distracted by then".

DP - Ohhh, well, you are not so far from me then. I am West London - further than Notting Hill - not so far as Ealing
