Morning!

I decided I would weigh myself this morning and according to my scales I have lost 3lbs in two days.

I can't believe that to be honest.

Yesterday I ate

slimfast bar
slimfast milk shake
salad with leaves, beetroot, ham, cherry toms, celery, cucumber, salad cream and a slice of bread.
home made apple muffin
packet of walkers baked crisps

I can't remember if anything else.

Today I have had

slimfast milk shake
home made apple muffin

Morning. Just checking in while eating Frosties and drinking tea.

Thanks for the lovely long post Sycamore

flamingobingo · 18/06/2009 08:50

Good morning!

I ate under my 1500 calories yesterday, and even had a treat in the evening

I've done a food plan for Saturday to allow for DH's and my treat - my parents are babysitting so we're going out for a pizza.

Morning all

Got no sleep again last night, dd was awake at 12, 2, 3 and 5

Am starting to feel unbelievably knackered and am off the stay with in-laws for two days now. Had filthy row with dh (I resent him irrationally due to the fact he gets enough sleep).

All this has a very detrimental effect on my eating, have consumed toast and four malted milk biscuits already. I did manage the gym yesterday but was so tired I only did half an hour.

Wish me luck for the next two days, it can be hard doing in-laws when you aren't suffering from extreme exhaustion Mine are quite nice thankfully!

I will stop moaning now

BecauseImWorthIt · 18/06/2009 09:04

Chin up, Humph! Remember the mantra - this too shall pass ...

Great result Fab (glad you've got your name back - I was wondering who the muffin person was!)

Dared the scales today, and am down another pound to 10.4. Looks like I'm doing a pound a week, which is slower than I wanted, but obviously better than nothing.

Weekend is fast approaching, and we're having people for dinner. Everything I find to cook, that looks lovely, seems to involve carbs though.

mistlethrush · 18/06/2009 09:11

I weighed myself this morning (it was only ds and me in the bathroom as dh wasn't helping ds whilst I had my shower - which meant that more toothpaste was on ds's legs than in his mouth by the time I got out of the shower...) and I aparantly have lost 10lbs since I started.

Sazzles - if you're eating reasonable quantities of white carbs, that's probably not helping - brown is better. Although I'm so desperate that I'm just having some oats at breakfast time and leaving the rest out at the moment and filling up on veg instead. Last night supper was stir fried shreaded savoy cabbage, mushrooms and onion with sesame seeds and soy sauce. I must say I was a bit and when I had to get the pot of marmite out and eat some off a teaspoon when I got home from work - but it seemed to do the trick!

Morning Campers

Just been updating my blog so haven't caught up with the thread yet, i miss the night shifts as by the time i get home from work i am sick of looking at the pooter screen and i am busy catching up with episodes of Come Dine With Me that i have sky +ed

You are all doing so well, counting calories and following FF, WW or LL, i am not doing any of that, I haven't been back on FF since i first registered, but, if i can get through the day by having 3 healthy meals and not eat any crap in between then i will be happy, i will just have to resign myself to being a porker curvy

flamingobingo · 18/06/2009 10:05

mistlethrush That's fantastic! Well done you! How long has that taken you?

VT do you need to lose weight? FF isn't that difficult once you get in the habit. I quite enjoy the challenge of whittling down my calories

VinegarTits · 18/06/2009 10:09

FB I am 12 stone, 5'6" and wear size 14, this time last year i was 11 stone and wearing size 12 so it is creeping up on me. I really must try harder with FF, but i am such a food junkie, my stomach takes over from my brain when i get a whiff of something yummy

VinegarTits · 18/06/2009 10:18

I also find it difficult to count the calories of my meals on FF, how do people work out the calories of homecooked food?

For example i made spaghetti carbonara last night, with wholemeal spaghetti, lean bacon, and only a small amount of parmesan, so i know it was quite low in fat but i dont know how many calories was in it

flamingobingo · 18/06/2009 10:21

You can make up your own meals on FF, which is what I do. Over the course of a couple of weeks, I've now got all my regular meals logged so I can just log them in one go now, rather than keep on going through the ingredients. If that makes any sense!

Click on 'create meals' in the food log. Then when you add food, click on the third option down - 'add to meal'.

When I've added everything I cook for one meal, I then log it as 0.2 of the entire meal (because I eat about a 5th of it).

Sycamore - I was up when you came back last night, just not on this thread!

Well done to everyone losing - esp. when coping with working nights and getting up for the kids.

FBGIB is on the SlimFast as well! And it seems to be working. I think mine gave me 'the runs' yesterday but I'll stick with it as I've paid for it now!

Have a nice day, all.

bellavita · 18/06/2009 10:26

Morning

Hello to the new girls.

Flamingo - certainly nothing exciting - I work behind the bar of a very very busy village pub that serves really lovely food. I also waitress on a Thursday lunch.

Sycamore - I have never ever been called adorable before - aww you are lovely! My boss was bloody well creeping round me last night and I wanted to puke. We usually do have a fair bit of banter between ourselves at work but last night was ott. He started as soon as I went in, but I ignored it and was not so much stand offish with him, but just cool. The reason why I work evenings is because it fits in with the boys. DS1 is in Yr7 of secondary and he could be left now during the day ie. holidays or after school. But DS2 is only 9 and round here, Kids Club is really expensive as there is a huge demand for it. Before the boys, I was a PA for senior management in a Life Assurance Company. I went back to work for a short period then we moved back up here and I gave up to be a SAHM. I started doing evening work because it meant I could be here during the day and it not interfere with anything. The ideal job would be working in an admin role in a school but those posts are far and few between.

Oh no, I have just committed a huge faux pas. We are awaiting delivery of a ladder for DS2's high sleeper and I had an email from the shop it is coming from to say delivery is Thursday ie. today. I just knew it would arrive when I was at work so DH arranged to work from home. I have just re read the e-mail and it does say Thursday, but it comes into the shop today not to us. Arrgghhh.

VinegarTits · 18/06/2009 10:28
