I did not! I would never tell you to lay off the wine for a less than water-tight reason!

psychomum5 · 11/06/2009 16:55

bastard arsewipe DH.........grrr

the doc hasn;t rung

I am cross

I am ranting

DH comes upstairs

he is on the phone

he won;t get off the damn thing

he says why

I state leg issue

he says..."what is the problem, you have another leg"

and I cannot cut him off, I can;t run, and he has a weapon.....his finger, poking my leg.

Ah but surely wine is known for it's medicinal qualities and is well renowned for it's post surgery healing properties.

disclaimer I have no idea what I'm talking about............

psychomum5 · 11/06/2009 17:00

is it known for 'saving husbands from torture' properties too

TheInvisibleManDidIt · 11/06/2009 17:00

Can you set one of the children on him? .

Must go feed the monsters..school show tonight!

TrillianAstra · 11/06/2009 17:34

One of the children? No, set all of them on him! They are many, he is but one man....

psychomum5 · 11/06/2009 17:37

doc has rung

he thinks it is down to reaction from the plaster rather than infection from the wound, as it is dry and not moist or weepy and the redness is confined within the plaster shape and no spreading outwards.

of course, any worries, go in tomorrow and he will look at it for me.

TrillianAstra · 11/06/2009 17:54

Did you say 'I can't come in and have you look at it, I only have one leg!'?

psychomum5 · 11/06/2009 18:15

I should have said that, but seeing as he is my doc, I am a little worried he might then label me as completely insane when I turn up with leg still attached..........even if it is only by a teeny tiny slither of skin!

yappybluedog · 11/06/2009 18:28

don't know about the leg, but your bathroom is nice

SusieDerkins · 11/06/2009 18:30

psycho - my dh is allergic to plasters and gets a reaction similar to yours.

I hope it gets better soon. Would a G&T help?

psychomum5 · 11/06/2009 18:41

wine would help more I think

I love my bathroom

hi I had a melanoma removed from my face so have experience of...
the bruising - normal would expect this
the redness and irritation - i had this and it was caused by the internal stitches working their way out. Alternatively it could well be a dressing reaction. For mine I put gauze over then secured this with micropore and this did the job nicely.
The bathroom - you have the same suite/cabinets as me!!!

psychomum5 · 11/06/2009 19:40

careergirl, thankyou for the info. that helps a lot

and on the bathroom! what good taste we have.

MerlinsBeard · 11/06/2009 20:06

MerlinsBeard · 11/06/2009 20:07

TrinityRhino · 11/06/2009 20:08

psychomum5 · 11/06/2009 20:11

OP posts:
TrinityRhino · 11/06/2009 20:14

you can hug me

is your dh being kind to you?

psychomum5 · 11/06/2009 20:17

he is now.

well, he was already, but getting bored with it.

he then said me feeling odd was down to not eating.......he made me a bacon sandwich, it sat for a while, I tried to MN to distract myself, then ran to the bathroom (now hurt), and it all came out.

dodgy other end too, but I have my period as well (tis all happeing this week), so figured it was that as I normally do (TMI but I have a retroverted uterus and it irritates my bowel and causes issues).

this really is not fair. I just wanna be me again!!

TrinityRhino · 11/06/2009 20:21

TrinityRhino · 11/06/2009 20:22

Oh yuuuuuck!

Was the sympathetic enough

But seriously, have wine, beat husband with crutch, wallow in self-pity. Tis best.
