look bad, still bleeding, pics on profile (but only look if you are not overly squeamish cos they doo look nasty IMVHO).

is this normal looking is what I am asking, as DH is going green when I ask, and I am a big wuss who thinks my leg is gonna drop off at any given moment!

Fimbo · 08/06/2009 13:54

Ooh that looks nasty Psycho. Hope you are ok.

I love the new hair, you look like a double of my friend.

psychomum5 · 08/06/2009 15:39

thanks fimbo

feeling odd right now tho.....and dd1 says i look ill....

Fimbo · 08/06/2009 16:13

Just seen this Psycho, could you ring NHS direct for advice?

psychomum5 · 08/06/2009 16:19

they would probably tell me to attend A&E tho, and I don;t want to.

it is probably just everything catching up with me TBH. no sleep, fretting, painkillers on not-very-full tummy.

if I still feel odd in the morning I will go to the walk-in clinic at the docs. I do feel ill tho

Fimbo · 08/06/2009 16:21

Can you go and lie down for a while?

I spent most of Sat afternoon in A & E, its horrible, so I am with you on not wanting to go.

Hope you get a decent nights sleep.

psychomum5 · 08/06/2009 16:24

am in bed, have toast made by DD2 (she thinks it makes everything better), neighbour has the small three, DD1 has made coffee and now tidying her room.

am trying to relax, but tea will need sorting and poor DH has sorted food for days now, I want to be back to normal tonight so he can rest.

OP posts:
LackaDAISYcal · 08/06/2009 16:33

sorry to hear you're still feeling rough, but you know it makes sense for DH to get tea tonight as well......if you try and do too much too soon, it'll take longer to get back to normal. Rest up while you can

co-codamol, especially the scary 30mg stuff, makes me go all relaxed as well. Not entirely unpleasant, but not entirely pleasant either, although I can see why folks get addicted to it.

psychomum5 · 08/06/2009 16:35

yeah, have taken all I need, (and am able), but feel just plain odd.

am pale with floaty eyes and red cheeks according to DD1, and my neighbour who comes with me for the school run walked me into the house thinking I was about to keel over I went so odd looking

I think DH might need to do the school runs tomorrow, I think it is the driving that is causing me to not rest properly.

TrillianAstra · 08/06/2009 16:54

Don't worry about DH sorting food - he will manage fine. Some people are single parents remember, and if they manage then he can at least manage for a little bit while you recover. If he were ill I bet he wouldn't be wasting time feeling guilty about not being able to do stuff.

psychomum5 · 08/06/2009 17:04

actually trillian, he is pretty healthy and fab and carrying on when he is ill......puts me to shame, I have his share of man-flu I think

OP posts:
TrillianAstra · 08/06/2009 17:29

But if he couldn't do stuff, he wouldn't. Don't hurt yourself trying to do more than you can. You'll get better quicker if you rest, and be able to do more for your family than if you make things worse by doing stuff you shouldn't.

psychomum5 · 08/06/2009 18:37

I know, I know.

I just wasn;t thinking it would be this bad, and take this long, and still not be ok, and feel sick and crap

OP posts:
TrillianAstra · 08/06/2009 18:47

Get well soon psycho, where would MN be without your bold and italics

TrillianAstra · 08/06/2009 18:57

I like that you like it even when I am storking...

psychomum5 · 08/06/2009 18:59

differentID · 08/06/2009 19:09

Do you have a hot water bottle or 6 to pack around you?

TrillianAstra · 08/06/2009 19:14

I read that as a hot water bottle or a 6 pack!

psychomum5 · 08/06/2009 19:15

yes, but am feeling hot already, so that will tip me over the edge I think. altho it is an option for is the tummy gets too bad later

OP posts:
TrillianAstra · 08/06/2009 19:32

Sorry have to go attend to dinner so can't keep up with the hair-storking!

Very cold water in hot water bottle instead then?

psychomum5 · 08/06/2009 19:38
