look bad, still bleeding, pics on profile (but only look if you are not overly squeamish cos they doo look nasty IMVHO).

is this normal looking is what I am asking, as DH is going green when I ask, and I am a big wuss who thinks my leg is gonna drop off at any given moment!

hiya psycho

It does look worse than the other picture
but I think its 'just' the bruising coming out

I showed dh your profiule pic and asked him what he thought

He reckons your leg is going to fall off

only joking

he reckons it looks good and just bruising

misdee · 07/06/2009 21:29

i think they were called mepore. no idea if you can buy them. they are water resistant apparently, but they stayed on pretty wel dh had some of the smaller ones from his chest scar that he no longer needed.

psychomum5 · 07/06/2009 21:29

oh, and littlelamb, thanks on the hair, altho tis not looking like that at the moment due to me having hating issues and looking freaky with the fluffyness.

am beginning to get used to it tho

BCNS · 07/06/2009 21:30

trust me you'll know if it goes dodgey

H had a dodgey .. it went hot.. he got fluey symptoms and it suddenly started to smell.. literally within hours.

it was very very obvious something was wrong.

regarding the dip.. I have a small dip in my kknee.. and that doesn't show too badly at all.

(yes my family are a noightmare for having stitches and ops LOL)

psychomum5 · 07/06/2009 21:31

thanks misdee, will hunt some down in boots then tomorrow

trinity.....

noddy, am glad they are ok...fingers crossed that is all mine will be.

littlelamb - you don't have to get completely undressed every time, but if they are concerned that you have signs of melanomas then they do like to check all moles.

psychomum - I'd like you to know that your little dip in the middle is nothing!!!! I had surgery on my foot (for something different) and they removed all the flesh down to the bone, then for five week on a daily basis, the district nurses turned up to pack the wound with iodine soaked bandages . This was to prevent the wound collapsing and opening up again. It was so bloody painful.

Fresh bleeding is fine, the skin is knitting and without blood it can't. The fact that it's stretching and bleeding probably means you are doing too much. Perhaps a spell with your feet up mumsnetting for many hours is in order ?

psychomum5 · 07/06/2009 21:33

BCNS, will keep fingers crossed that I don;t get those symptoms!

OP posts:
misdee · 07/06/2009 21:33

peter had holes...

skin dip is nothing

only kidding.

his holes were gross though

TrinityRhino · 07/06/2009 21:34

whomovedmychocolate - OH MY GOD

psychomum5 · 07/06/2009 21:36

ok, I had to drive today to take the girls for show photos, and DH was needing to price some jobs up, so yup, did too much.

DH is being great otherwise tho.......standing too long is very painful, so am trying to rest otherwise and he is taking over with cooking and (some) cleaning.

can I just say..... at the foot (and the green is sick face, to envy!)

OP posts:
psychomum5 · 07/06/2009 21:37

NOT envy.

misdee, yes, holes trump dips

OP posts:
BCNS · 07/06/2009 21:37

WMMC .. after H went dodgey his had to be opened and cleaned and packed exactly like yours.. he said to say he totally sympathises with you!

pyscho.. you'll be fine, don't panic.. h's was round his belly button which is an area thats hidious for germs.. so don't panic!

psychomum5 · 07/06/2009 21:39

ah, yes, belly buttons not good for healing. I have had three laparoscopies and got a very scarred belly button from them, altho not germified smelliness so thats good

It is bruised and yellow, but DP has a bruise nearly that bad on his thigh from walking into the end of the bed!

aristocat · 07/06/2009 21:43

mepore are available from most chemists

you can buy them singly from about 18p for a 7cm x 8cm size

hope gets better soon

Spidermama · 07/06/2009 21:44

Looks normal to me. Bloody sore though.

You have some gorgeous pictures of you kids on there. I love them all in the line lying down. Great pic.

psychomum5 · 07/06/2009 21:45

I have a bruise on my arm from DH showing what a dead arm feels like on our way home from holiday last week.

it caused some comments at the hopsital I can tell you

we were play-fighting tho, just to reassure. he laughed at my attempts to thump him (in the name of play fighting), I hit like a girl (funny that, I am one), and so he tried to show me properly.

mean mean mean man............he is a buidler, big and strong, he hits hard!!

for the bed your end(and your DP too)

whomovedmychocolate · 07/06/2009 21:46

BCNS - thank him for me. The worst bit was I was in a wheelchair because of it so couldn't get away from the fecking nurses, they would chase me down and do it whether I liked it or not.

psychomum5 · 07/06/2009 21:47

thanks spidermama.........that was taken xmas eve ready for a pressie for MIL. she like a yearly pic of them for her xmas pressie from them all.

aristo, thanks for that. the chemist would be easier to walk in than Boots.

OP posts:
TrillianAstra · 07/06/2009 21:49

Dp says 'oooo that looks nasty'.

psychomum5 · 07/06/2009 21:51

tell him tis worse in the flesh (pun intended).

really bloody hurts, altho it is better than it was. really quite shocked at how bad it is tho I must admit. never figured mole surgery was so deep before, nor so painful!

OP posts:
TrillianAstra · 07/06/2009 21:57

Mmm, flesh, how lovely!

noddyholder · 07/06/2009 22:00

I hope you get good results.Fingers crossed.I haev my skin checked eevry 4 months as I am on immunosuppression which increases the risk.

psychomum5 · 07/06/2009 22:05

thanks noddy, yup, keeping lots crossed this end too.

am a little fretful as my blood tests keep coming back with low WBC which the docs are keeping an eye on (in fact, got a blood form to go have bloods done this week, just remembering), am hoping it is not connected and I am just suffering something post-viral, or all the antibiotics I have been on since xmas are the reason.

still, at least it is in hand

OP posts:
noddyholder · 07/06/2009 22:10

Lots of antibiotics will do that psycho try not to worry x
