look bad, still bleeding, pics on profile (but only look if you are not overly squeamish cos they doo look nasty IMVHO).

is this normal looking is what I am asking, as DH is going green when I ask, and I am a big wuss who thinks my leg is gonna drop off at any given moment!

thankyou!!

you would think the docs might ponder that, being that they prescribed them but no, they send me off for more bloods.

mind you, I should praise them for ensuring it is just that really shouln;t I!

Are your many many smiley children (I've been looking at the pics too) been looking after poor chopped-up mummy?

psychomum5 · 07/06/2009 22:31

well, depends on how often I whine really.

actually, they are being pretty good, as long as I ask in a sweet voice and not scream at them becuase of the PMT induced fighting they keep doing

they did go buy me more jelly snakes earlier tho

to try and make you feel better I will tell you of my mole removal op
it was nothing like as severe as yours but it was icky

I had a centimetre across mole on my boob

above the nipple about 3 cms

the scar was 2 cms long and I had three small stiches
I have big boobs and I felt the need to wear a bra ALL the time as the weight of my boob hanging down felt like it was stretching the cut (which was horizontal on my boob)

I still wince at the thought of it

even in a bra it just felt wrong and like it may be pulling

and it was very sore

my scar is wide as it were, pulling must hav happened but its not noticeable at all, same colour as skin and you would have to look for it

psychomum5 · 07/06/2009 22:34

oooh trinity. that does help (especially as I have pre-menstrual boob-ache right now, so anything boob related is making me wince)

OP posts:
TrillianAstra · 07/06/2009 22:35

Boobs are heavy. Or so I heard. I woudn't know, haven't got any.

psychomum5 · 07/06/2009 22:37

trillian, I have D cups. they hurt when they are heavy during periods, and OMG when they fill with milk after babies are born.

I loved it when they shrank after breastfeeding the children.

they grew back tho.

TrillianAstra · 07/06/2009 22:42

B here. They don't do much. But I can wear halternecks without a bra.

psychomum5 · 07/06/2009 22:44

altho, I can wear halternecks without a bra, just go down a sz in clothes so they fit really snug

I do get the ones with added support tho

ouch psycho......but how gorgeous are your DC!! (and you and your DH)

just be careful with mepore or any other new fangled dressings. I had a wee op recently and they put "non colloidal" dressings on. I have pretty sensitive skin and a few allergies and I came out in a horrendous reaction to the dressings which in turn (due to my obsessive scratching) led to a horrible wound infection. You can still see the marks where the dressings were three months later, even though the actual wound has healed now.

on your photos; looks like the bruising is just coming out as there isn't any redness or inflammation. Keep a close eye on it though.

5inthebed · 07/06/2009 22:49

Wish I hadn't looked, am getting three moles removed for the same reason from my neck soon (gulp). I'm going to look like Frankensteins bride

Looks really sore, hope it goes down soon for you and less painful.

psychomum5 · 07/06/2009 22:52

daisy at the compliments.

thanks for the info on the mepore. I am normally pretty ok with dressings, tis the pink plaster types I react to for some reason (altho I do indeed have very sensitive skin!).

TrinityRhino · 07/06/2009 22:52

I wish I could wear halternecks

TrillianAstra · 07/06/2009 22:54

'haaar' is a good description. Like what you do to your glasses before you clean them.

Hope gecko is appreciative.

psychomum5 · 07/06/2009 22:54

5inthebed.

how big are they tho. the reason for mine looking so bad was the sz of the mole and the fact that they had to cut the wound in an eye type shape so as to have a straight scar. assuming on the neck might be different?? (admittedly no expert on this)

OP posts:
psychomum5 · 07/06/2009 22:55

yeah, feeding will do that.

mine filled back up again once I got past the year mark of stopping feeding, just like my MIL promised

OP posts:
TrinityRhino · 07/06/2009 22:57

hmmm, appreciative may not be the word
tbh she just sees it as somehting she has always had and needs

I couldn't take it from her
I am in completely new territory though as I haven't fed the other two past 14 months (dd1 was 14 months and dd2 preferred her thumb after 9 months)

I want her to self wean, it;s just the two or three hourly night 'boobie' demand which are taking a toll

psychomum5 · 07/06/2009 22:58

am impressed with the feeding trinity. just added up how long I fed for in total, and got to 3.6yrs, and that was with all five, not three!!

that said, had they not been so bloody allergic, I would have been able to feed for longer (also, had I had MN for advice with the allergies I would have been able to feed for longer)

OP posts:
5inthebed · 07/06/2009 22:58

Two are quite big and third is average size. Hopefully won't need proper stitches though. Shoul have had them removed years ago, but been putting it off as terrified of getting a needle stuck in my neck (it'll need done three times)

I've had 5 moles removed removed already in recent years and only required stitching on one of them. My mam was not a believer of using sun cream when I was a child, even though we lived in a hot country . I blame her!

TrillianAstra · 07/06/2009 22:58

Does having children make them bigger in the end? Or do they go all the way down again?

TrinityRhino · 07/06/2009 23:00

at allergies interfering in your life

LackaDAISYcal · 07/06/2009 23:02

5, I had a wee mole removed from just on my hairline five years ago and its virtually undetectable now; try not to worry

I hope it's better soon psycho, but if you are uncomfy with it, always worth getting the practice nurse to have a look.

And this thread is reminding me that I need to chase my GP about the thing on my back which may or may not be a rodent ulcer. I'm waiting on a date for removal.

psychomum5 · 07/06/2009 23:02

I was always 34C, and am now 32D.

they are full still too. so for me, feeding has not changed them.

5inthebed, I was the same regarding the sunburn as a child. the thing is tho, it wasn;t known the same then as it is now, so in some ways, I guess our parents did the best on the info they had at hand (IYGWIM).

good luck with your moles.

psychomum5 · 07/06/2009 23:04

thanks daisy, and yes, go about your back.
