i bumped my head play fighting with DH about 2pm, then passed out when i tried to get up. I tried to take myself down the stairs only i blacked out again and fell down the stairs. I was out for about 20 minutes according to DH and dd was crying cos she thought I had died. I fell asleep as well and was really cold. I jarred my back and bumped my head again and twisted my ankle. Someone said I could have concussion. I fell asleep afterwards too. I feel bruised, shaky and sick now. Am just looking on MHS website about blackout and am now very scared. Its happened a few times in the past few weeks without having panic attacks.

Great anniversary im having!

Maybe a CAT email voicing your opinions would be more in order then??

The trouble is you are always gonna get people..including me who are gonna stir things up even more. It's just not nice to be judged by people who dont even know you thats all.

horseshoe · 09/05/2005 14:20

By the way I have followed her story but just haven't felt able to help as much as you lot can but why when you feel you cant help any longer do you decide to kick her down instead?

sparklymieow · 09/05/2005 14:21

because she has changed her name on occasions and people haven' realised until its too late by which point people have already given help and advice... we can't help her, she needs to do that herself....

expatinscotland · 09/05/2005 14:23

Blacking out that long is pretty serious. I wasn't even down that long when I slipped whilst getting into an abseil and fractured my skull.

snafu · 09/05/2005 14:24

Ouch, expat!

expatinscotland · 09/05/2005 14:33

Big style, snafu. It felt like I was walking around in cotton wool for a long while after and my reactionary time was delayed for months.

I was wearing a helmet, too, but apparently hit a rounded rock between the edge of the helmet and the base of my skull just in back of the ear.

But I was only unconscious for a few minutes according to my friends, who immediately helped me out to the car park and called an ambulance.

For sure I wasn't up posting online for ages.

horseshoe, if you read titanias posts you will notice that she responds very positively and eagerly to the fluffy huggy ones, or the ones that suggest there might be a dramatic underlying reason for her feeling the way she does. She replies very tersely to the practical ones or the direct questions. This is because she is not getting the answers she wants/needs/craves.

Enid · 09/05/2005 14:55

oh and lets not forget the setting up of the situation and then...no messages for ages while people flap backwards and forwards looking for MSN evidence of her. that happens EVERY time she posts.

sweetmonkey · 09/05/2005 15:28

like now, enid? what do you reckon. thought maybe there would be an update or something

horseshoe · 09/05/2005 15:29

I'll just slink off to my pets board then.

The dog died last week just after he tried to eat the hamster. hamster is all safe and sound but we'll have to see if it's had any effect on him. I bark every now and then to see but he appears OK.

Titania · 09/05/2005 15:31

Good luck with the appointment; I hope the GP can find out what is causing this and it is something that can be sorted out.

FWIW I am trying to help titania. She is a young woman with three children who IMO has EVERYTHING to live for. I think she needs to be looking after herself, physically and emotionally and not really on mumsnet so much to satisfy her needs. i have seen a change in her posts since she first started posting on mumsnet and I really think she needs to concentrate on her real life more. I want to help her, pick her up and dust her down, give her some direction, make her life better.....oh I wish i had a magic wand!

Titania I hope it went okay and let us know how you got on, I am not making fun of you at all

Fio2 · 09/05/2005 17:49

not rely, not really, lol
