Pamina's dd2 in hospital with complications from e coli

She's only just two.
They don't know how she got it.
She's being transferred to a London teaching hospital tomorrow for further treatment as her poor little kidneys have been affected.
Everyone who knows Pamina on here and in RL will know she is being her usual awesomely calm self, despite being pregnant and no doubt very worried, but can we all think of them all tonight and over the weekend and hope that the Swiper is back on her feet soon? I think it would really help.

pamina, I bumped into Marina by chance this morning and we were talking about you - I just want to say I am thinking of you.

Oh what a lot of lovely messages, I am sure pamina will be delighted and grateful for your kind thoughts everyone!
After I bumped into tigermoth this morning I heard from Pamina this afternoon.
Her dd has been transferred and does need treatment, but the news is comparatively good. The doctors in the specialist unit think she will not have to have dialysis, but should "just" need blood transfused and a chest x-ray to rule out pneumonia. She is no worse today, which is definitely good news.
Depending on how things are and if it's convenient I might pop by to see Pamina at the hospital and if that's possible I will print this thread out and take it with me. I know it will mean a lot to her and her dh that so many Mumsnetters have sent their love.
Thank you all so much. I'm sure I'm not the only one who gave their boisterous little pickle a very big cuddle this morning and thought of Pamina's dd2 - and anyone else with a child in hospital.

Pamina, I am so sorry your daughter has been through this and really relieved the prognosis is a bit better today.
