For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I have a couple of friends in the police who talk about moving to Canada/Australia and one who's DH is in the RAF and they aren't from here and I live in fear that one of them will actually move away one day

TooTicky · 07/06/2009 09:51

Sweden is very worth travelling to though Franny. More so if you have lovely friends there.

I am in bed recovering from the mother of all migraines. I knew I was out of sorts yesterday but didn't recognise the signs. Lol....cleaning was probabaly one of them!!!!

I just feel hungover now which is pants really...but better than the other symptoms. And I feel as weak as a new born kitten.

Black out blinds are ace Pink... I would also leave her.

I nearly went to sweden once....

at thought of rolling in cranberries!

I am joining a martial arts club with DS!! Will find the warrioress in me one way or another!! I used to do Judo......

Shall I get up? I don't want to put my feet on the ground incase it hurts...

SuperBunny · 07/06/2009 16:15

Morning. I forgot to sort Graze box for my sis. Will do that this week.

Franny, shame that the Gnormans are moving. It's always hard to say goodbye. At least it is visitable, not like moving to New Zealand where you may never get to see them.

TigerFeet · 07/06/2009 17:22

SB, hope the remaining time passes in a flash.

It is always sad when friends move away. As an army brat, I moved a lot as a child and it was a wrench every time, whether it was me moving away or a friend, even at a young age.

We have been to DH's work today, he works for a veg grower and they took part in Open Farm Sunday. We got to see fuck all, it rained, monsoon style, all morning - thunder and lightning, the works... never mind, at least I got a ride on a very wet miniature train . DD and her friend enjoyed themselves so all not lost. There was loads of veg left at the end as hardly anyone turned up and all visitors were supposed to take a veg box home with them, so dh has come home with a box full of freebies . I have asparagus, cauli, mini cauli, onions, broccoli, two types of cabbage, a cucumber, some peppers and a couple of other bits and bobs. I feel a pan of soup coming on.

pinkspottywellies · 07/06/2009 20:30
