For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I think it's onw of those, Free X from the Englisg Bastards type of parties

mollyroger · 04/06/2009 20:36

I'd like a Free Cornwall. It's too bloody expensive for me usually.

pointydog · 04/06/2009 20:37

Free it from Kirstie Allsop. I wouldn't blame them for that wish.

(Is it cornwall she has connections with? Might be wrong)

FrayedKnot · 04/06/2009 20:47

It was like that in our polling station, 100.

The polling station is right next to DS' school so we popped in on our way home.

DS and I tiptoed in, and the invigilators (or whatever they are called) all stopped talking in loud whispers about their bunions, and swivelled their eyes onto us and the lady with the LIST read my name out verrry slowly and clearly to the lady with the PEN and the lady with the PEN got out her RULER and did a verrry slow and perfect line through my name (only one on my page of list crossed through)...

No-one else in there, no-one came in while we were there. Like you say, 100, hardly a need for the six "private" cubicles.

Apparently last year there was a 35% turnout in our ward. Is that average? It seems dreadful to me.

"i was getting a bit worried about fuckwits getting in, but i feel strangely reassured by fact they can't actually manage to unfold a piece of paper without detailed instructions"

hee hee hee heee

okay well I voted today

also today I ate whole bar of Asda Extra Special 70% cocoa chocolate and three lemsips

am currently deciding between additional lemsip or glass of wine

anyone who gives me a serious answer before I have finished running my bath gets to decide

I have had nothing good for me at all. Went to my mum's after school and she looked at my snivelling face and said "Shall I make you some tea?" and I said yes and it was burnt sausages and baked beans

every single damn time in these weak moments I forget how woefully undomesticated she is

pointydog · 04/06/2009 20:48

Am having quite a good day

sultanas
banana
carrots
broccoli
a supersalad (hmm), 2 potiosn easily
mucho beetroot, 2 portions

pointydog · 04/06/2009 20:49

if you don't have to be up early at work or with very young children, I'd say the wine.

FrannyandZooey · 04/06/2009 20:56

yes have wine, lemsips are bad for you - i read this somewhere but can't remember where

FrayedKnot · 04/06/2009 20:56

Lemsip is evil. Have wine, or better still, gargle some cider vinegar and then have wine.

I have suddenly developed a streaming cold. I had a sore throat and then it went and I felt fine, now three days later a cold appears

FrayedKnot · 04/06/2009 20:57

Franny the DL said so

ReallyReally · 04/06/2009 20:58

pointydog · 04/06/2009 21:35

FrannyandZooey · 04/06/2009 22:23

i never look either pink
i love surprises

i just sent off for this:

free woodland club membership
thought 10/10ers would like it

Guadalupe · 04/06/2009 22:28

Look you are all talking about wisdom and the world and perception and stuff.

Well, I have wisely and perceptively told the floor sander that I hate the colour of the natural pine floors and I have joined the 1% (apparently) of people who ever ask for a stained floor even though they think I'm mad because natural is 'better' and dh is furious as it costs more but I am quite sure the world is a better place with brown floors rather than natural (yellow) freakin pine which I loathe. I think the victorians had the right idea, personally. And breathe.

Thank you.

Hope you are all well. I am meant to be packing.

Guadalupe · 04/06/2009 22:31

Now that is really weird.

I posted that last message this afternoon and I have just logged on and thought how odd, no-one has posted since this afternoon except they have, clearly, looking at the time. How did that happen?

FrayedKnot · 04/06/2009 22:33

Ah thanks Franny, have just done it...DS will like it I think.

Pointy don;t panic if your wee is pink tomorow will you?

pointydog · 04/06/2009 22:48
