For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I work in a preschool SB.

WE used to call it child protection too, but you know how they like to mix it all up and make it something new

pinkspottywellies · 15/05/2009 20:31

Where are you pointy? I thought everyone called it safeguarding nowadays. Never a pleasant day out is it LR

I love that despite how open and welcoming and undiscriminatory we are, we still feel the need to categorise

Also remembered the classic line yesterday from mangolassi 'I do love that cunt is fine on this thread, but cheese is censored'

pinkspottywellies · 15/05/2009 20:33

I like pink is...pink My mum called me blonde and fluffy once

pointydog · 15/05/2009 20:34

Yes, people like to categorise. I do believe it is the only reason for people believing in astrology.

pinkspottywellies · 15/05/2009 21:06

We had a pretty good thunderstorm today. Luckily I had just got back in the car from being in town!

Graze looks fab! I probably used to spend that much pre dcs at work. Would love to do that. Although I guess you could try making it up yourself as a way of eating.

pinkspottywellies · 15/05/2009 21:08

Franny, I'm looking at some Calin Bleu microfleece wraps on ebay. Are they too stretchy like the jersey ones? Couldn't see that link the other day but have looked at them elsewhere (new) and they're quite cheap anyway.

FrayedKnot · 15/05/2009 21:15

Ok Pointy, do you worst

FrayedKnot · 15/05/2009 21:16

Ooh, honey cashews sound rather moreish

FrannyandZooey · 15/05/2009 21:17

i haven't tried the microfleece ones pink
i am guessing they would be stretchy
ours is gauze - in between jersey and woven for stretch i would say
ask about microfleece one in sling cupboard? (MN thread)
and join the yahoo group i linked to (UKbabywearingswap) to get cheap second hand slings - or sometimes new - people buy them to try and don't use them!
