For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I am sprung out of bed earlier than I'd like due to fear of nappy leakage. I will be pleased when this part is over.

There are some vile childrens tv programmes on at the weekend. They are watching some right old shit.

Guadalupe · 24/05/2009 09:50

Yes, of course. You are always working hard. Mine are retired now, with pop socks to prove it.

FrannyandZooey · 24/05/2009 10:06

apple pie & clotted cream

Glorious weather, spent the day running around like a loon with a frizbee and ball with the kids. Now listening to the match, whilst feeding sorky-baby.

Have planted the marigolds over the Lottie this morning, generally weeded and cut the last of the purple sprouting broccoli, will freeze it for later in the week I think.

SuperBunny · 24/05/2009 18:37

Blueberry and Lavender chocolate

littlerach · 24/05/2009 18:39

orange juice
grapes
spinach (lovely little pies)
houmus
lettucey salad with beans and tomato (and anchovy and egg)

I was at a mediterranean lunch party - oh yes - and it was scrummy. If I'd remembered this 10/10 business I'd've eaten loads of other things like the grilled aubergines but I'd had my fill after all teh breads and cold meats and potato salad.

tomatoes
broccoli
more grapes

I will have a couple of bits of fruit later and I will make 10. You fuckers.

Can I count all the onion that was in my meatloaf and in the tomato and chickpea sauce? If so, I have already reached 9 and victory will be mine.

pointydog · 24/05/2009 19:23

sweet potato and spnach felafel - I love the sound of that

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 24/05/2009 19:26

banana x2
blueberries
dried fruit x2
corn on the cob
salad

DS has had hollow legs today. He ate a whole nakd bar I stupidly left it near him when I went off to answer the phone. I got back and he had eaten the lot! It's like having a dog again! At the bbq he ate lots of sweetcorn, the most enormous pile of rainbow trout and then a huge heap of strawberries. He was like the hungry caterpillar! His nappy is going to be BAD tomorrow.

SuperBunny · 24/05/2009 19:56

LR do you have a recipe?

Homegrown Salad
Red Pepper

FrannyandZooey · 24/05/2009 20:08

i'm waiting, pointy
can you do it in time to pick the next title, we ask ourselves?

Reverend Billy and the Church of Life After Shopping came to our town today
they were quite superb
it was very funny, moving, musically fabulous and surprisingly spiritual
he blessed ds2 and wished him a life free of consumerism
he had a quite bizarre presence - i can't quite describe it
charismatic and kind of holy - a really strong feeling of goodness emanating from him
