Leg Pains at night..... Dr is testing for Bone and Prostate Cancer......Am very scared

DH has been having leg pain and lower back pain for last 2 weeks.

Dr thought it was Sciatica and slipped disc. But not now.

But as DH has the pain worse at night it is a symptom of cancer.

So today saw GP again and he immediatley sent him for blood tests at hospital

We are going again to GP on Tuesday.

I am really scared that he has prostate cancer and it has spread to bones in pelvis and left leg. So therefore has secondary bone cancer.

He doesn't have the back pain any more just in the leg.

Has anybody had any experiance of this?

I will give you an idea, of how this place is now part of our household, told DH that Kanga's DH was poorly, to which he replied do you mean RTKanga, which is what I normally call you.

He asked where you lived, and he said as I have just said, we aint a million miles away.

He also said to tell you, that if your darling child is allowed a very occasional MCD that we could have a good starting point for the two of them.

And I mean very occasional, Ds gets it 3 max 4 times a year.

DH have spent all day talking and crying

We are really trying to find a reason for the nightime pain and agony rather than it to be cancer.

Everything we read seems to say warning signs for cancer.

I don't know Kanga, I've no experience of this but couldn't let your post pass without sending you some more hugs - this is about the only occasion so far on MN that I've really, truly wished I could give someone a big hug or help...or something...

I'm praying so hard for good news for you Tuesday and will be here to try and support you whatever happens.

I'm sure there are lots and lots of other explanations for his symptoms other than cancer, but just to say I have been through a very similar situation to you myself so know a little of what you are going through.

I just wish that we knew yes or no

If he hasn't got the results on Tuesday not sure what we will do

No idea if they prioritise blood tests depending on what it is testing

DH says it was very very busy at hospital

He was number 103 and that was about 11.30 so goodness how many they will have done on Friday

RTKM, don't you fret my angel. I'll be praying that he's seen. I know that it's easy for me to say, but I will be praying and waiting for your post.

We have appointment for 9.40am on Tuesday with our GP

but results may not be there

So will have to wait again either for phone call from GP or we can go again on Wednesday

Yes we are going to get him checked for diabeties as well but has no symptoms

The question is what is it pressing on the Sciatic nerve?

He does not have a slipped disc we are sure of that

He does not have any other symtoms of prostate cancer but that is not necessary apparently

Just checked with my DH what his back and leg pain were like before he had his op. He said the back pain diminished at night, depending what position he slept in, but the leg pain became agonising. He had a prolapsed disc, not a simple slipped one. He has subsequently had an op to remove the disc.

Fingers crossed it is something similar for your DH .xx
