For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Blue stuff? Spirulina?

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 23/03/2009 19:11

I can see your pics Stuffit. You both look lovely and blonde and smiley

Sorry, I don't know the background to your situation, but you don't sound very happy

I worked for a company who had offices over there and many people went over there for 6 months plus and found it a very hard place to live.

Guadalupe · 23/03/2009 19:12

I think about food a lot. I buy a lot of food too.

ahundredtimes · 23/03/2009 19:13

I am peering Stuffit. You look v elegant. They are good pictures - I like the horses too

ahundredtimes · 23/03/2009 19:14

That's because you go out every day. You shop like a proper person. Anyway, it's not true because dh made pasta today, and I ate that, and sometimes he makes eggs, and I eat those, and I had two prawns off athletes plate. So. I am lazy.

TooTicky · 23/03/2009 19:15

He makes eggs? [impressed]

Stuffit, will you put on the scary elephant pics? [hopeful]

Guadalupe · 23/03/2009 19:17

Most people don't shop every day, they are sensible and meal plan. I wake up and think, I need this today. Quite wasteful, often expensive.

Stuffit - you are dainty and neat, and BLONDE! I can't see properly though. Nice horses.

TooTicky · 23/03/2009 19:20

I think shopping every day is sensible. I would like an organic fruit and veg market just down the road. That is how things should be.

littlerach · 23/03/2009 19:21

Like the photos Stuffit.

How long will you be there for?

Go to bed, TooT. It is never too early for bed.

ahundredtimes · 23/03/2009 19:22

I don't think it's wasteful. I think it's a good idea, I just think it's time-consuming, but then I cut everything out, sit in the cupboard and stare out the window and feel hungry. So.

Come back stuffit. I have more questions.

stuffitllama · 23/03/2009 19:43

Toot am v concerned -- dizzy and speech slurring? Do you know why? I have this terrible urge to buy you a big Mac with supersize fries and a Coke, vegan sensibilities notwithstanding.

I used to shop nearly every day on my bike. It takes up so much time, shopping and cooking on the same day. Also you can't get a watermelon in a side basket so sometimes you do have to take the car.

100 I'm here, I am emailing people I should have emailed about ooh five hundred years ago so am dibbling in and out. As to being happy.. India is an exceptionally absorbing place. And there is no material reason not to be. We have settled. I can lead a very happy life here. But it is troubling, you know? Also the children are not happy really, and that affects things.

Sharing something so utterly shameful here -- I have just found Christmas thank you letters that I hounded the children to write and didn't give to dh to send through the office. Am witch.

FrannyandZooey · 23/03/2009 19:46

ooh the thread got v good there for a bit, was excellent reading with the prawns and the raj guilt and the washing collapsing all intertwined

god i have had a shitty annoying day
dear god i am irritated

Guadalupe · 23/03/2009 19:50

Perhaps the additives in the pizza base have gone to Toot's head.

Why a shitty day, Franny?

TooTicky · 23/03/2009 19:50

Oh Stuffit, that happens here too. The guilt.

S'okay, I am not sinisterly dizzy. Think I have been hyperventilating a bit today. Also v v tired, have been covering lots of miles and teaching myself to run. Just need a good night really.
Just ran to the bridge and bacjk, now in bed.

littlerach · 23/03/2009 19:52

Blame the post, Stuffit, I have posted letters when I've found them weeks later and blamed the post service

You ok Fran?

littlerach · 23/03/2009 19:53

Oh, also I coloured my hair (to hide the grey) and it is much brighter than aniticipated
Especially in the sun

FrannyandZooey · 23/03/2009 19:55

oh it's all too annoying to bore you with
just fan me gently and bring me a long cool pie drink

OP posts:
stuffitllama · 23/03/2009 19:57

Toot if you are walking 15 miles a day or running 5 then you need to do the eating a lot thing. It is fun. Lecture over.

Littlerach I will do that! Fortune smiles on me in that respect as it is too believable! Brightness in hair good of course. And it's sunny?

What happened in the crap day Fra?

TigerFeet · 23/03/2009 19:57

Hello

stuffitllama · 23/03/2009 19:57

spill

stuffitllama · 23/03/2009 19:58

Tiger how's the MS?

ahundredtimes · 23/03/2009 20:00

Questions. They might be a bit too on the nose though? Don't know. You can be a bit elliptical sometimes, but I'm very nosy and interested, so you might just need to ignore or get indignant:

is boarding school the only option? What are they finding difficult in particular? What is the school like? What is your house like? Sometimes you suggest that you and dh are struggling together - does he feel guilty because you're all there for him, and he needs it to be okay and gets cross when it isn't? What do you like about it? Have you made any friends? Do you miss your family? is dh enjoying his work? Do you like your house? What is it like?

Actually, I could just go on and on and on and on.

ahundredtimes · 23/03/2009 20:01

Hello TF. Would you like some questions too How are you feeling? How is your MS? What did you eat today? What was it like? Have you ever wished it would rain? Do you like. . .

TigerFeet · 23/03/2009 20:02

Much better thanks
I have cut the meds right back

I now have sciatica and twinges of SPD in its place [sigh]

I am NEVER EVER EVER doing this again

You OK stuffit? I need to skim the thread , but sounds like your children aren't settling?

TigerFeet · 23/03/2009 20:05

:D 100x

see above re MS

today I have eaten sandwiches and fruit and cereal. CHeese and pickle sandwich was particularly toothsome. I like rain. Good job really as I am from the north west of England where it does nothing but.
