For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I suppose they are not all that expensive really, just that I am generally skint.

Happy Mothers Day ladies

Yes baby Lemur does smile and laugh a lot. He's really quite a contented little thing, we're very blessed.

lol at snake being the size of a python

Was it a watersnake as it came through the water pipe? I bloody hate snakes.

Guadalupe · 22/03/2009 08:45

The whole book in one sitting, SB? That's pretty good going! I would probably buy a cheap little canvas pair to see you through a few weeks. Even if the weather is good, it still rains doesn't it?

I am in bed with my laptop and tea and biscuits and breakfast is smoked salmon and scrambled eggs on bilinis, carefully weighed and measured of course.

Then we are going to the beach as it's a lovely day again and then we are having roast beef later.

mangolassi · 22/03/2009 09:00

pmsl at TooT's bottom waving - most people's bums are attached to their person and not so wave-able - did you get yours from a catalogue or something? Is it vegan?

have missed lots of photos, how can I see your hair TooT?

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 22/03/2009 09:03

lol at carefully measured and weighed!

I had pain aux raisins and a cup of tea. We didn't have them in bed though, which was a good job as Baby Lemur tucked into some with gusto and there was pastry EVERYWHERE.

We're off visiting MIL and my mum today, inbetween bacon sarnies for lunch and roast chicken for dinner.

Oh, what beach are you going to Guad? I love british beaches at this time of year, well any time of year actually, apart from summer.

TooTicky · 22/03/2009 09:42

mango, I have now added you to my mates list so you can see all...

Does babylemur have an ickle stripey tail?

Definitely a vegan bottom, yes.

Dd1 made me chocolates and sugarcraft flowers and is currently making breakfast

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 22/03/2009 09:46

Oh yes, his tail is lovely and bushy

Mango, you should be able to see my photo's, if not let me know. How are you feeling at the moment? Have you got the dreaded ms?

Enjoy your breakfast Toot.

TooTicky · 22/03/2009 09:48

at tail

pinkspottywellies · 22/03/2009 09:51

Happy Mothers Day!! I had a lovely framed photo of my 2 and a box of presents including smellies, a magazine and a bank of dad chequebook with vouchers from DH for car cleaning, iPod sorting, lie-ins, breakfast in bed and such treats I had cornflakes in bed and in a minute I'm going to make pancakes (no DH isn't doing it - I'm better at cooking!!)

TooT, love the hair (and the bum!) Do you feel fab?!

Lemur, he's gorgeous!!

Franny, TooT has a very easy vegan cake recipe. (Mine sank in the middle so you could do the nigella topping!)

Stuffit at python in the toilet and wrestling and children sitting on it!!

Lol at jaffa cake tree

FK I wonder where she got the goat [covet]

We've got a trampoline! That might start being my exercise

We had a lovely day with my sis yesterday and had our first barbeque of the year!

pinkspottywellies · 22/03/2009 09:52

Morning TooT! What are you having for breakfast?

TooTicky · 22/03/2009 09:54

Hello Pink

Drop scones and satsuma

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 22/03/2009 09:54

I shouldn't laugh, my pelvic floor took a good couple of weeks to get back to normal.

Oh yes I forgot about the yoddling goat, it sounds fab.

pinkspottywellies · 22/03/2009 09:58

I went on a friend's trampoline when dd was quite old and although I didn't actually leak I nearly did and was quite shocked!

TooTicky · 22/03/2009 10:00

My pelvic floor has been so thoroughly stomped on I have to be very careful.

littlerach · 22/03/2009 10:12

Happy Mother's Day, ladies

I have had 5 homemade cards, a home made book and a lift up card from dds. All v sweet and lovely.

And dh made me a card

I heard dd2 shouting whispering this morning about a tree they had chosen for me, it is an apple one. And a cook book.

Dd2 was better last night but has woken up with dreid snot all over cheek, neck and hair so have had to scrub her down!

Dh is cooking , but has had to go to shops first.

We have a tramploine - I go on in v short bursts

TooT, dh used ot be vegan and once drove all of the way from Bristol to Brighton to buy vegan shoes - kind of wiped out any environmental issues I htink!!!

TooTicky · 22/03/2009 10:17

I think I would like a trampoline.

pinkspottywellies · 22/03/2009 10:22

My friend just moved into a flat with no garden so she gave me her trampoline. We've had to spend £30 on a new pad for round the springs though cause her dog had wrecked it. We also have a new slide (half price in Toys r us) and a see saw that I found next to someone's recycling bin once - it had a sticker on saying the bin men couldn't take it, so I did DH isn't so keen on all the junk toys in the garden but he was rather enjoying the trampoline yesterday!!

TooTicky · 22/03/2009 10:24

Good going Pink

Guadalupe · 22/03/2009 10:30

Wells, or Holkham maybe. We've just booked two weeks camping in Stiffkey for the summer and I fancy going to those beaches today. Might change my mind and go to Southwold. I will probably have to drive.

My biminis are ready.

FrannyandZooey · 22/03/2009 11:35

"my pelvic floor took a good couple of weeks to get back to normal."

Well, I took over the breakfast and have prepared the roast dinner for later. I asked my mum if she wanted to come for dinner and she said, no thanks, it will be a bit of a squeeze as she is going to see lily allen at seven and my was brother was incoherent and still asleep and said, no, he wasn't sure what he was doing later. Just us then.

stuffitllama · 22/03/2009 12:45

gosh you have a groovy mum

Pink you are a whirlwind of I don't know -- just a whirlwind

trampoline fantastic but oh the weeing. I used to manage maybe a couple of minutes -- there was also a great deal of thighs slapping together so the humiliation was too much really

satsuma, broccoli, asparagus, courgette, peas sweetcorn, onions, spinach, cauliflower

everyone's mornings sound lovely

Guad can I ask you something very personal.. last year.. was your treatment solely surgical?

don't answer if you don't want to, I realise it's private

I'm asking because I think Jade G might still be here if it wasn't for her chemo

I'm really sorry if this offends anyone but I feel there could possibly might be a few souls here who feel a similar way

will piss off forever if I'm being tactless bint

SuperBunny · 22/03/2009 12:47

Your DD1 sounds delightful, TooT. I want her to come here.

lol @ driving from Bristol to Brighton for shoes.

Huge @ Wells or Holkham. If I manage to get back to the UK, one of the first things I am going to do is take DS camping at Stiffkey, crabbing on the marsh and to eat fish and chips on the Quay at Wells.

Have a lovely day everyone.

littlerach · 22/03/2009 14:31

Oh I iwsh we had a beach near here.

Dh has mwon the lawn and is now making lemonade with dds. I do like Mother's day

And it is so warm

pinkspottywellies · 22/03/2009 14:39

Stuffit, my mum's doctors suggested she had chemo and she looked into it and decided just to have radiotherapy and turned down the chemo. One of the reasons was that she was trying very hard to eat well in order to get better and chemo destroys the (urgh can't remember all the proper words and hurrying, so forgive me!) spongy bits around your stomach that get all the nutrients from your food (or something?!) and it was only something like a 5% chance that chemo would work.

Sorry just adding my 2p there before I go to MILs.
