For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Hello everyone,

Guad - fab, a stone, well done you.

100, I finished the book last night, it was gripping, well paced and with a really strong narrative. I have been thinking about it, and the characters, on and off all day.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 18/03/2009 20:48

Nevermind kicking the chairs, I'll kick their fruity arses if they don't invite me to their wigwam

Um yes, you don't get goofy people like you used to. I guess everyone gets braces now.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 18/03/2009 20:50

Hi Wombling. I find myself humming 'underground, overground, wombling free, the wombles of Wimbledon Common are we' whenever I see you

I want to finish the book next

Guadalupe · 18/03/2009 21:02

I wouldn't go as far as a nifty arse, but I feel a little more comfortable with a spring breeze around my rear than I would have before.

Ditching the winter coat seems so exposed, almost rude.

Meetings are hysterical, I think it's the church hall that adds to the atmosphere, It feels like the WI or something. Last night we had a to play a memory game where various WW merchandise was hidden and we had to remember what was there and what was gone. Everyone did really badly, probably because they were all so hungry.

I only lost one a half pounds this week though so it's slowed. My friend and I were so hungry afterwards I grabbed her arm and we flagged a cab and went to a japanese restaurant, which I reckon is quite a good one to go to if you are going to deviate from a diet. I had a teriyaki salmon bento box and had extra salad instead of rice and there was prosseco but I have been extra strict today so it's fine.

Next week there is going to be tea and coffee. I dunno about biscuits. I might suggest a sing-song.

TooTLooP · 18/03/2009 21:03

Oh yes, I loved the teeth too. I read that bit three times over and smiled.

I lost a stone over Christmas and got told off
I sense double standards but well done Guad

Guadalupe · 18/03/2009 21:04

There was miso soup and seaweed salad and deep fried squid sushi too.

TooTLooP · 18/03/2009 21:05

You could have a campfire Guad and fake marshmallows.

TooTLooP · 18/03/2009 21:05

I like Japanese food.

Guadalupe · 18/03/2009 21:07

Well, you have to have it to lose it with approval, Toot. If you are already stick thin you will end up, well, like a stick with bits gone.

That is a very bad sentence.

Guadalupe · 18/03/2009 21:08

I love it too. I could eat there every day. I didn't like the green tea ice-cream that my friend ordered though, it was very bitter.

TooTLooP · 18/03/2009 21:09

I wasn't stick thin, I had a bum and everytging. Still do

Guadalupe · 18/03/2009 21:10

Well, I am very pleased you still have a bum. They are quite useful.

TooTLooP · 18/03/2009 21:10

I can't imagine green tea ice cream. Sorbet possibly. But green tea is bitter, isn't it.

TooTLooP · 18/03/2009 21:10

Yes, true. Somethng to sit on if nowt else.

Guadalupe · 18/03/2009 21:11

My chest is going, that is the only annoying part. I am going to need new bras, in fact, I am going to need new bras with magical powers.

TooTLooP · 18/03/2009 21:14

Oh, mine too!!

TooTLooP · 18/03/2009 21:15

Actually, I didn't have much in the first place.

pinkspottywellies · 18/03/2009 21:18

Hello! Love the church hall WI WW!!

My wee man has put on a whole pound in just under two weeks and I saw a pro-breastfeeding health visitor [dead faint]

Have eaten naff all f&v today (well, about 3) but will have more tonight cause I'm STARVING again (having just had fish and chips for tea. Oh no maybe 4.

Nice arse coat Guad

Guadalupe · 18/03/2009 21:18

I am waving goodbye to 32F but that was partly due to bf. God knows what they'll end up like.

Spinach
courgette
grapes
orange x2

I seem to have run a lot today. I am always late and ds2 insisted on a running around the bushes game and then wanted endless pushing on the witches hat.

There were some gruesomely huge frogs in the park pond. The frogs spawn made me feel a bit queasy.

Guadalupe · 18/03/2009 21:19

Hello, Pink.

You have some tartare sauce on your chin.

FrayedKnot · 18/03/2009 21:20

Ooh Guad

I feel like we should skip round like Brownies singing "Well Done, WellDone, Well Done"

it seems a village hall-y thing to do

And give you a badge to sew on your neckerchief

God what am I blethering about

Well done anyway

It is unfair that weight always slips off the bits you don;t want it to, and wonlt budge off the annoying bits.

FrayedKnot · 18/03/2009 21:22
pinkspottywellies · 18/03/2009 21:33

I bought a little slide today! I want a swing and a sand table too.

Where's Franny? She's been gone for a couple of days. (So have I but never mind!)

Guadalupe · 18/03/2009 21:43

Yes, where are you, Franny? What are your views on frog spawn?

Fk - I don't own a neckerchief but I am thinking I might like one.

stuffitllama · 19/03/2009 03:20

have had food success, papaya, toms, onions, toms, papaya, watermelon, papaya, satsumas, toms, sultanas sultanas and more sultanas.

Attila how bloody awful, hope you feel better soon. How awful.

Guad that seems very quick to lose a stone, you must have been very FOCUSSED indeed. I like green jackets, had green jacket envy for my friend's lime green jacket. They just make people look quite out there.

hurrah for Toot's arse and for big Pinklet too and for womble winning the book finishing race

have been agonising elsewhere about ds1 and his disengagement from life, sometimes I think if i stop worrying it might go away on it's own, but have made sad decision to send away other children in 18 months. Bastards. Not my children, I mean the situation. Is bastards.

anyway more papya and watermelon today as it was a 6kilo melon and no one likes papya except me and that's quite a big un too
