For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

better a pissed threadcat than a pissed threadworm

SuperBunny · 28/02/2009 23:42

Shit, are we meant to count veg?

I like it in here - it's all safe and comfy away from the bitchiness out there. No bitches in here.

SuperBunny · 28/02/2009 23:43

A couple of blueberries. I should probably eat something else, I suppose.

AtillaTheHoney · 01/03/2009 02:32

I am a novice at crystal healing SB,
but I like this site. I think my 'relationship' with stones is quite intuitive, rather than of learned knowledge. But I have a fabulous collection and just polishing and sorting them alone is remarkably therapeutic.

I pick stones according to my gut reaction to them, but the amount of times I then look them up to find they have a strong relevance to a situation I am in blows me away, because I am by nature a bit of a sceptic.

Wearing...errr, wooley lined blue boots, and a fluffy blue jacket, a knitted green hat and a turqoise shirty thing, red gloves. And I was Lolling with DD. No photo...

Mind boggles at a 'pissed threadworm'

SuperBunny · 01/03/2009 03:20

Very colourful, Atilla

Good link, thanks.

I tend to go for ones that look pretty

stuffitllama · 01/03/2009 05:19

TigerFeet · 01/03/2009 08:13

Hope you get sorted Stuffit, take care x

Hurrah for the arrival of the Pink Parcel . Fran do you still have my email? I'd love to see pics.

SuperBunny · 01/03/2009 08:26

Insomnia

I'm soooooo tired. Why can't I sleep?

I just amused myself doing a tour of British accents. Then I realised that I was not only doing it aloud but making myself laugh too

This is turning me into even more of a loon than usual.

TooTicky · 01/03/2009 08:27

I can do that Tiger if you fb me your email

TooTicky · 01/03/2009 08:28

Oh god you are still up!

TigerFeet · 01/03/2009 08:30

SB again? I'm having a lot of trouble staying asleep atm and it's wiping me out.

FBing now Toot

SuperBunny · 01/03/2009 08:33

It's horrible, isn't it?

Also, I seem to have some kind of sinus thing and my face hurts. But I'm sooooo flipping tired, I think if I slept it would help everything.

TigerFeet · 01/03/2009 08:40

Everyone else in this house is still in bed (@ 8.40 ) but I couldn't sleep so I got up. Ages ago. This is unheard of behaviour - I generally have the sleep patterns of a teenager. Is there anything you can do for the sinus pain? It might help. Sending zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz's your way.

I think I may have a cold coming on. I was co-incidentally looking at Pink's baby photos and parcel stuff and my eyes started watering and I am sniffing goddam hormones

TooTicky · 01/03/2009 08:45

{{{{{Tiger}}}}}

I got up at 5

SuperBunny · 01/03/2009 08:51

Uh oh, mine started with Pink's baby pics too

I can guarantee that I will not be getting up at 5. Or even 8:40. I think I still have teenage sleeping pattern too. If only I had the social life of one too.

SuperBunny · 01/03/2009 09:18

I found a secret stash of Lemsips. I can breathe, hurrah! Now, for the sleep...

FrannyandZooey · 01/03/2009 09:38

Tiger, sorry about that - did TooT send them? if you could send your email address to:

frannyandzooey at india dot com

i will get you on my 10/10 list
the problem is i have 2 email addresses and a rather disorganised life atm

cor what a night
ds2 waking up every few seconds at one stage to scratch
my mother is coming on monday and i just keep thinking of all the insensitive things she will say and what she will think of the state of the house etc
i get so wound up leading up to one of her visits that the annoyance lasts for weeks before she is actually here
i know this is stupid
thing is she could be such a support and comfort! and i really could do with it just now! for example she could help me do ds2's creams and stuff - it's so much easier with someone to hold his hands and entertain him -but instead she will only be thinking about herself and her reaction to it - she 'can't bear it' if the children are upset about anything, and will just leave the room - once she left the house because ds2 was crying while having his nappy changed

and as i have mentioned before this is the woman who left my sisters to scream themselves to sleep
oh god i really must let this fucking go

sorry bit much for this time in the morning isn't it! hormonal people do not read!

Oh Franny
soothing vibes....

TooTicky · 01/03/2009 09:42

what would happen if you asked her to help in a jolly, casual sort of way?

And yes I did send to Tiger.

BBBee · 01/03/2009 09:47

don;t be a stranger stuffit.

superbunny - i feel your pain - insomnia is a bit of a soul vampire isn't it.

franny and whoever else gave me thrush advie many thanks. i have reduced and virtually cut out sugar and the usual reoccurance hasn't, um, reoccured.

pink - we adore you.

FrannyandZooey · 01/03/2009 09:50

toot she would grimace and say "oh i couldn't BEAR it - i HATE it when they cry"
to which i want to reply "oh well that's funny because you know I REALLY LOVE IT and of course, if children cry and you don't like it, it's FINE to just walk off and leave them"

sorry to hear you are off stuffit but hope you'll be back soon
