For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Shuddup Franny, stoppit. Am ruddy not. At all. I eat brie and steak and drink cocktails and and and and and

ahundredtimes · 27/02/2009 23:36

Oh yes dishevelled - I couldn't spell it so had to say messy instead. DS2 looking most odd at present as has cut his fringe, very high up and v. short. The rest of his hair was artily dishevelled.

I said to him 'did you just do one bit and then find you couldn't stop, and just kept going and going?' and he said 'Yes!' And I said 'God, I get that when I cut dd's hair too'. Anyway he looks like a loon or a monk, or a loony monk.

Oh no TooT quite understandable given my silence, but wasn't you, was general fear and horror and etc etc

TooTicky · 27/02/2009 23:39

Ds1 cut his hair yesterday and made rather a good job of it. I had great fun spying on him posing in front of the mirror.

ahundredtimes · 27/02/2009 23:41

Oh that sounds sensible. DS2 did his in an idle moment watching telly because he had the scissors, and then I think just couldn't stop

Dh walked in and said 'DS2 have you cut your hair?' and he said 'No, I have not. No no no no' and then burst into tears. I laughed, he was furious about the whole episode. Another face I think.

ahundredtimes · 27/02/2009 23:42

Oh I didn't laugh when he burst into tears btw, I laughed when he walked into the kitchen. Then he burst into tears. Not sure that's any better though.

TooTicky · 27/02/2009 23:42

The scrunchy noise is quite addictive I think.

TooTicky · 27/02/2009 23:45

Oh, dd2 came to report on what I assume was her version of something from Newsround, about a big fire in the sky in Africa, and I had to fight to keep a straight face because of the drama of her rendition. OIh, and the way she was wrinkling her nose.

ahundredtimes · 28/02/2009 00:01

The drama and the nose - she'll have a job on Sky before she's 10 for sure.

I must go to bed. I am getting pulled in to one of those MN guest speaker threads. I must stop it. I always find it so embarrassing. To date I have defended both Tara Ramsay and that pillocky Tony Parsons. Gawd. I swore never to go on those threads and do that again too.

Boco · 28/02/2009 00:09

I defended that sheharazarahedeza woman, the carnage! I felt sorry for her.

Boco · 28/02/2009 00:10

I just watched Margot at the Wedding - have you seen it 100? It was painful. I do like Noah Baumbach, but it's not fun. It's too much like my family to be enjoyable.

FrayedKnot · 28/02/2009 00:35

Hello

Kiwis
Lots of avocado
Fruit of the vodka nut tree

Goodnight

SuperBunny · 28/02/2009 02:08

Franny, I am shocked that you use bleach. I have no idea why. Initially I thought you were against bleach but I think it is actually toilet brushes you have a problem with.

Margot at the wedding was very painful.

I'm with Toot & trousers being too long, is a total pain in the arse. Shamefully, I wear hipsters with my muffin top and still end up hoiking them up round my arse. But I have no choice, I cannot stand things around my waist.

Lentil weaving tendencies:

Allotment
Quinoa eating, egg avoiding, vegetarian
I am setting up a scouting group for pagan children - we have to make our own neck ties out of wishes or something
I used to do yoga, don't watch TV and still listen to the Levellers
I want to join a commune

And, if you hadn't gathered, I am quite barking.

Um

Juice
Honey Tangerine
Dates
grapes
aforementioned lettuce, hummous, apple

Five-ish

SuperBunny · 28/02/2009 03:33

raisins
banana
carrot and lentil soup

Eight

Much better

stuffitllama · 28/02/2009 03:43

well done bunny I hope you are feeling fine

what a lot of japery

eggy bread is just egg, and fried in butter but the pan has to be very hot like for pancakes

I'm puzzled that Fran is 5'10". I thought you were about 5'4". It's nice that there are so many shortarses though.

Guad this is going to sound like hell on a stick to you but have you got a Body Pump class near you. It is weights and aerobics combined. Twice a week and a bit of Pilates. Much better than denying self Rich Tea with butter.

Dh used to eat Shreddies individually buttered by his mother. I was up against a lot when I married him.

Too much chat for no f and v.

TooTicky · 28/02/2009 07:11

I cannot stand hipsters. They make me feel most unsafe.

stuffitllama · 28/02/2009 07:51

but hipsters are good for short people, also I have a womanly bottom and they are good for that too

TooTicky · 28/02/2009 08:45

No no. Jeans up to me middle and a safe-length top.

stuffitllama · 28/02/2009 08:51

Toot

I must send you some elastic for a waistband.

TooTicky · 28/02/2009 08:56

Oh, I was just looking for a picture of me but at these!!

I am there, but maybe the drawings are better...

TooTicky · 28/02/2009 09:00

Oh look, here I am

stuffitllama · 28/02/2009 09:01
