For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

No worries Molly, I have enough for both of us, and don't have a long, leggy figure and lovely hair like you.

TooTicky · 27/02/2009 22:04

TooTicky · 27/02/2009 22:05

FrannyandZooey · 27/02/2009 22:46

oh sorry
erm, well, i made eggy bread having not had it for YEARS
and it was rubbish
what did i do wrong? i remember it as being so nice and satisfying and comforting

OP posts:
TooTicky · 27/02/2009 22:48

Well, if a vegan;s answer has any credibility...
i just dip the bread in beaten egg and fry immediately.
The dcs like it.

FrannyandZooey · 27/02/2009 23:04

do you add milk? does the bread go soggy? do you use brown bread? [interrogatory]

OP posts:
TooTicky · 27/02/2009 23:06

I would only add (soya) milk if we didn't have enough egg.
Doesn't go soggy.
Usually worthy wholemeal.

FairLadyRantALot · 27/02/2009 23:12

I think I would getr a mixed review, franny, lol...
and the past couple of days werent great...must realy focus, because got a bet with dh going,...

ahundredtimes · 27/02/2009 23:17

Eggy bread crap with wholemeal - for the proper, delicious comfort version must be thickly sliced white bread, fried in butter, and yes dipped in a mix of egg and milk. For shure.

I am in the minus end of the spectrum for lentillness - in fact I own that end of the spectrum, quite far up the other for age, am between FK and Stuffit I think, and have long been convinced I am by far the sanest and least barking on this thread, and am stubbornly standing in the minus end for that too. High lentillness will probably equal high barkingness, mark my words Fra.

TooTicky · 27/02/2009 23:19

100x, do you use facebook often? I am working myself into a state of paranoia over a friend request...

FrannyandZooey · 27/02/2009 23:21

ah but 100
you have got several cute artily dishevelled children, and a mouse that lives under the sofa in your kitchen

sorry

you has lentil weaver tendencies

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 27/02/2009 23:22

OP posts:
TooTicky · 27/02/2009 23:25

No, don't give up.

or try eggless eggy bread if you sre feeling hardcore...i made it for dd1 once...whisked up a thin mixture of flour and soya milk , dpiied and fried. It was good.

FrannyandZooey · 27/02/2009 23:27

Yes, have done deliciously in olive oil too. White bread the key ime.

I am NOT I have never been remotely lentilly fgs. One mad annoying mice in a house of lazy people does not for a lentil weaver maker. Ditto messy children.

TooT - god PLEASE don't be paranoid. I ran away from it. did you ask me to be a friend? I delete any email I get from FB because I got overwhelmed. Sometimes I go and STARE but am Never Going Back. No need for paranoia I promise.
