For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

You an inspiration to us all Guadalupe. I want points and charts and pencils and epiphanies too. Instead I've eaten almost a loaf of dps sour dough bread with proper butter. Are you supposed to get lots of points or as few as possible? How many points is a revelation?

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 27/02/2009 18:20

You have been a gobby lot today

I wanted to comment on lots of things, but can't remember what was said - doah!

We learnt about te Witch Finder General at school as he done a great deal of witch hunting where I grew up. Luckily my mother wasn't alive then otherwise it would have been the stake for her

FrannyandZooey · 27/02/2009 18:25

a revelation is 10 points
if you have an annunciation that is 100 points

hold on, points are BAD aren't they
what kind of twisted system means that you try to get as few points as possible?

I am between Wombling and Franny.

TooTicky · 27/02/2009 18:30

Oh Wombling, you are one of the youngsters surely.

SuperBunny · 27/02/2009 18:36

Hmm, not sure where I go - between Wombling and Franny?

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 27/02/2009 18:40

oh no, this age thing is going to end badly as I have no idea how old people are.

I'm older than Pink I know that.

stuffitllama · 27/02/2009 18:45

I am forty four.

That means I have eaten more vegetables in my life than all of you and maybe two more carrots than Avi.

TooTicky · 27/02/2009 18:49

Dash it Stuffit ,you spoke!

SB, I'm sure you are younger than me.

womblingalong · 27/02/2009 18:54

No way Toot, am 38, so old.

littlerach · 27/02/2009 18:54

I am next to TooT I htink.

TooTicky · 27/02/2009 18:55

Wombling, you cannot possibly be 38!!

Ah but which side of me LR?

SuperBunny · 27/02/2009 18:56

Oh, ok. I'll shuffle towards Pink's end. I think MrsC comes before me.

littlerach · 27/02/2009 18:57

Same F&V as yesteday as it was all left overs chez LR today.

Plus a pear and a banana and a kiwi (I took the skin off!!)

So rather a lot.
Only because we had no bread so I had to have fruit for lunch
A nice lady at work gave me a chocloate snakerjack (sp). It was odd. cardboard and a hint of cocoa. Odd. I htink it is a slimming owrld type thing

womblingalong · 27/02/2009 18:57

MrsC is def a junior/younger member, despite having lots of children.

TooTicky · 27/02/2009 18:58

LR, I suspect you are younger than me.

TooTicky · 27/02/2009 19:00

Oh yes, MrsC is a youngster too.

Guadalupe · 27/02/2009 19:02

It is a bit odd I agree, trying not to get points. And, the more you lose, you get fewer points to eat. What kind of incentive is that?

Well the weekly weigh in is I guess. Do you know what 50g of muesli looks like? It looks like a joke that's what.

Who is tallest and youngest then? Who is in charge of the line and where is the tape? What's all this vagary?

littlerach · 27/02/2009 19:04

Am I TooT?

TooTicky · 27/02/2009 19:05

you will have to start eating puffed grains, they will look like more

I am the shortest, aspreviously established. Actually, did I ever get a sticker for that?

TooTicky · 27/02/2009 19:06

I think you are LR.

littlerach · 27/02/2009 19:06

No, no TooT, i am shortest
