For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Ok I suppose, not had the best day with the DC's, lots of whinging and crying and general shoutiness, and that was just me.

Work is crapola, and think I am going to get canned soon anyway, which will be a disaster, although I hate it.

Oh, except they probably email it.

Boco · 27/02/2009 17:08

Avi, thank you for your honesty about the armbands. I am currently viewing mumsnet in it's new format which means there is no gap.

My brother is coming to stay for the weekend. He's bringing a film script he has written because he wants my opinion. His last one was a musical version of the witchfinder general. [tired]

Boco · 27/02/2009 17:10

Doesnt' it feel all springy today? As in spring like. I heard owls in the rookery on teh way to school today, and driving around it feels all fresh and new and hopeful. But that could be a sugar high after vending machine shame.

TooTicky · 27/02/2009 17:12

Yes, springy. I liked it so much I walked 7 miles this morning. So that's the exercise taken care of.

womblingalong · 27/02/2009 17:17

I think I am as old as Franny at least, how old is old BTW?

womblingalong · 27/02/2009 17:18

It is very springy, but not sunny here, saw daffs, snowdrops and crocus at the park today.

pointydog · 27/02/2009 17:23

hundred, do I see you griping about that comma thread?! You daft soft peach

pointydog · 27/02/2009 17:23

I can't keep up with you fruiterers, you know. I have tried but you are always gabbing.

pointydog · 27/02/2009 17:24

But next week, I have to eat less stodge and more fruit because I can feel my middle move when I walk and I am becoming most upset.

TooTicky · 27/02/2009 17:25

Okay, let's all line up in order of age without speaking or gesturing.

Pink is definitely the youngest.

TooTicky · 27/02/2009 17:26

The spring weather will help Pointydog.

Guadalupe · 27/02/2009 17:28

Bee - is indeed WW. Am watching them all eat fish and chips longingly. I am probably allowed one chip or something so I will have none and wait for my dinner.

Boco · 27/02/2009 17:28

You might not be able to keep up Pointy, but it's good you pick related insults. Shows commitment. Now do some squat thrusts.

Boco · 27/02/2009 17:29

Do you like a bit of a regime to get your teeth into Guad? Do you have go go for public weigh ins?

pointydog · 27/02/2009 17:30

it would be nice to think so, ticky, but thte last two springs and summers haven't helped me

and are you a brownie leader, with your non-speaking game?

pointydog · 27/02/2009 17:32

. I fear I have an innate ability to think of related insults about many things

TooTicky · 27/02/2009 17:32

No no not a brownie leader. We have done linings up on the thread before.
We lined up in order of height once, before any of us had met.

Guadalupe · 27/02/2009 17:44

Regime, yes. I am liking the rigidity of this, squinting at my little green book and poising my pencil over the tracker as I weight out the piccalilli. It is givng me focus and drive. It is a time of year for hunger and fasting anyway isn't it, with lent and spring on the way.

I might have revelations and epiphanies and allsorts.
