For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Stuffit, I don't know about the strawberries, sorry. Maybe? But that is a guess.

Right, a list:
one whole avocado
half a large tomato
lingonberry jam
bit of lime juice
probably only 2 then. Oh well.

TooTicky · 24/02/2009 22:00

I see Guad, you don't remember me for my stimulating conversation, merely my proximity

FrayedKnot · 24/02/2009 22:03

Guad have you been overdoing it on the fruit today

Boco · 24/02/2009 22:07

Guad has gone a bit fruity!

I have overdone it with food tonight - i couldn't eat properly for a couple of days because I was all worried, and then i was STARVING because I wasn't worried, and ate really fast and lots and now I feel like I swallowed a heavy boulder.

MiTochondrialEve · 24/02/2009 23:54

Love Abba!

Franny, how many eggs do you eat? I get 15ish a week from a man with an allotment connected to our garden, wiht battery farm rescued hens. Is that too many with all fruit and veggoes - between 3?

MiTochondrialEve · 24/02/2009 23:55

cholesterol is v.g btw

SuperBunny · 25/02/2009 01:07

Oh, he's lovely Pink! Why does your DH look more tired than you?

Um, aforementioned five portions + dried pineapple & cranberries (again), lemon juice on delicious pancakes and a fruit leather

Who are you, Mitochondrian one? That sounds like a lot of eggs to me. Even if they are very good ones. But what do I know.

daisy99divine · 25/02/2009 01:30

Just popped on after Looooong absence to see how Pink was doing

Congratulations Pink & Blue Spotty wellies!

Daisy! Hello!

stuffitllama · 25/02/2009 02:12

morning
we had disgruntlement on toast for breakfast

am planning veg-laden menu for the day

Guad is it a kitchen or a what?
also would like to know about OBs kitchen and whether it has been burnt to death yet in the garden

stuffitllama · 25/02/2009 02:15

15 eggs a week between three people is not too much

it's only an egg a day with the weekends off

that's ok isn't it?

we get through about 30, five people, sometimes they last a bit longer than a week

SuperBunny · 25/02/2009 02:15

OH Stuffit, that's never a nice way to start the day. Hope it dissipates during the day.

stuffitllama · 25/02/2009 02:19

Hi Bun how is the exp? has he backed off a bit?

it will thanks..it's just circumstances and miscommunication

stuffitllama · 25/02/2009 02:21

Toot I think your list is a good one and you can build on it. But then sometimes I think you need to get down to a vegan Macdonalds and eat everything on the menu.

Lingonberry jam sounds very good.

SuperBunny · 25/02/2009 02:30

No, still an arse, stuffit, but thanks for asking.
