For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Guadalupe · 15/02/2009 22:02

well, the telephone would work similarly to an appointment, then there is the magic of Royal Mail.

TooTicky · 15/02/2009 22:03

Franny, you would be sent a remedy.
The remedies-by-phoe are for the hardcore folk

i have embarrassing gym anecdote to share with you
i drink plenty of water at the gym and i was getting a bit full feeling
i rolled onto my stomach to do back exercises and belched uncontrollably
woman lying on adjacent mat adopted a bizarre foetal position
COULD have been part of her workout but i suspect trying not to laugh loudly

TooTicky · 15/02/2009 22:05

my hoover went off at midnight last week, then when I got up to turn it off the hall light wouldn't work. Dh was in London and it wasa bit creepy tbh. I half expected to see it going along on it's own.

FrannyandZooey · 15/02/2009 22:08

guad your hoover is trained can i have one like that?

Boco · 15/02/2009 22:08

That would be quite nice, if you're going to be haunted, it would be good if they'd do the housework for you.

Guadalupe · 15/02/2009 22:10

Was just a dodgy fuse I think, it hadn't worked earlier.

A cleaning ghost would be good though.

Guadalupe · 15/02/2009 22:10

I wonder if it would make the lunches if I ask nicely.

FairLadyRantALot · 15/02/2009 22:17

lol Franny...

guad...I would like my hoover that well trained....

es is sitting next to me right now, and I have been chuckling....and he said to dh..."mum is laughing at herself again"....

FrayedKnot · 15/02/2009 22:18

Franny you might be able to seal the gaps? We sanded a wooden floor in a newish house we had once and I do remember DH doing lots of "filling" of gaps and then we sealed it and varnished it and it wasn;t gappy or dusty (well, when we bothered to hoover, anyway).

I did refuse to hoover under the bed when we were TTC DS as I read that thing about the chinese (?) belief that the souls of your unborn children live under the bed and I couldn;t bear to think I might hoover them up accidentally.

Actually I think I'll stop posting now - that's irrelevant.

TooTicky · 15/02/2009 22:18

Or indeed empty the ones that get left mankily in school bags for 2 days...ggggrrrr

TooTicky · 15/02/2009 22:19

Fairlady

Omg FK, I didn't know that! That is quite a thought...
