For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Molly you look about 25.

I am tired. You do not want to know what I have eaten but it has done me no good. I may come in and talk shit later.

SuperBunny · 28/01/2009 18:18

Hope you are ok, Toot

FrannyandZooey · 28/01/2009 18:37

i always think you are older guad, not because you look it, just....because

i am 37 and look every freaking minute

FrayedKnot · 28/01/2009 18:38

Beard porn...

Is that why I have been looking rather a lot at them Fleet Foxes blokes lately?

TWF, oh what the more youthful 10/10ers have got to look forward to

I am on a 30-day rollercoaster ride that just keeps getting...scarier, frankly.

FrannyandZooey · 28/01/2009 18:40

i love beards
my favourite hobby is going out with clean shaven men and getting them to grow beards
i have managed it 5 times now [proud]

SuperBunny · 28/01/2009 18:41

What's going on FK?

Boco · 28/01/2009 18:42

Oh Franny. That made me feel very proud of you.

SuperBunny · 28/01/2009 18:42

Franny, the last 2 men I have been on dates with have grown new beards. And the one who keeps asking me out has one too.

FrannyandZooey · 28/01/2009 18:44

Beards are just fab aren't they
why would anyone shave?

FK what is up my dear? I do hope you are ok

FrayedKnot · 28/01/2009 18:46

Ok so we have a new prerequisite to add to the veggerly criteria

FrayedKnot · 28/01/2009 18:47

Oh yes I am fine, apart from me 'ormones.

FrayedKnot · 28/01/2009 18:48

Oops, DS is supposed to be having a bath. Back later!

SuperBunny · 28/01/2009 18:55

Oh, hormones. They can be problematic.

I want a nap.

FairLadyRantALot · 28/01/2009 18:56

Toot, lol at wanting to be treated as a newbie and being send into the pit by franny....
erm, how can you loose a tooth eating porridge....the mind boggles...

Tiny...oh, I know what you mean, it irritates me, too, when dh is there and it's daytime in the week, lol...
oh, and lol at you ensuring we are all aware of your fully clothed status
oh and lol at teh firecracker thing...I have been blaming my increase of f&v for the recent increase in you-know-what, lol

lisalisa...hi

littlerach...Mangos, if right are lovely aren't they...it's difficult to get it at the right time though...sigh

molly...oh, Computer viruses are a mare.
Thanks for bringing the eyepatch up....must put ds's on him...

polly, lol at your confession of disliking fruit....how unusual... as for pulses they do count, but only as 1 portion per pulses you eat...

guad....barf at your aspik nightmares..I can relate to that....yuk
and away from the botox....
o, and grrr at that letter...the bastards...what a hoohaa, like you need it

Boco...you are lying blatantly, I am sure...I can not imagine you looking haggart...
Ettore, that is an unusual names....but sounds good
oh Boco, sounds like a lot of bad luck in your house...no surprose you have been swearing..

Franny, illicit slovakian pharmaceutical...oh do spill!

lol Tigerfeet...it's all the pink-one's fault isn't it...ironing is such a ditry word

and Avi....lol...

SB...ouch at the finger...doesn't sound good! And I heat Max and Ruby (Especially Max)

and generally:
yukyukyuk at beards...barf...my dh fancies a beard and went through a phase of having one, he looked godawful and it made him look 20 years older, considering he is 40, not a good thing...and despite not being a redhead, his beard grows bright ginger...which just isn#t a good look on him...

as for age, I will be 39 this year, but don't feel any older, iykwim...my worst Birthday was my 29th, because it dawned on me that I was nearly 30 and that seemed so old back than
I still feel shite and right now feel physically sick...had 6 portions of f&v, but don't think I will eat anymore.

FairLadyRantALot · 28/01/2009 19:15

OH, took Yannic to an Eye appointment earlier, and his vision has slightly improved, but isn't as much improved as they hoped ...we have to do the eyepatch for longer now (at least an hour a day) and hope he will improve within the next 6-9 month, because appparently if he doesn't he will have to do with whatever he achieves until then, as that is when his eyedevelopement stops, or something like that...I didn't quite get it ....but that is a bit of a worry!

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 28/01/2009 19:18

How do you remember all that fairlady ? Impressive. The feeling sick isn't so impressive though, I hope you aren't coming down with a bug.

Yes, tell us more about Slovakian meds

Not a fan of beards. My dad used to grow one every winter and would rub it against my cheek when giving me a kiss. He thought it was funny. I found it uncomfortable and annoying. My dad isn't a ginge, but his beard was ginger and so would dh's be if he grew one, and he's not ginge either.

Oh and the jelly in pork pies. Just thinking about it makes my stomach churn. Totally rank.

banana x2
OJ
carrot x2
cauliflower
onion
homous
apple
orange

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 28/01/2009 19:20

There is still time for improvement, hold on to that thought Fair

SuperBunny · 28/01/2009 19:23

I used to love the jelly in tinned ham

V impressive, Fairlady - hope DS's eye continues to improve.

DS has been shouting and crying at me because he didn't want a 'rest' but I desperately needed a break (and I think he did too) so I pretended to cry and he stopped fussing and lay on his bed and is playing quietly [feeling awful now emoticon]

We do rest time every day so it's not unexpected and I was fed up of telling him to stay in his room and play by himself.

SuperBunny · 28/01/2009 19:25

This from the woman who spent her morning reading Playful parenting

FrannyandZooey · 28/01/2009 19:27

sb well that's better than waiting until you were at end of your tether and losing it, wasn't it

fairlady sorry improvement was not what you hoped for

banana
melon
apple
raisins
banana
apple
lentil soup with butternut squash and carrots (2 or 3)
beetroot

i feel peculiar

ahundredtimes · 28/01/2009 19:30

Ah well SB, happens to the best of us. Maybe say something after rest time like 'You know, I feel better now I've rested, I must have got myself in a silly pickle to have cried mustn't I? Now here we are again, which is great, let's do xyz together.'

Successful spinning after the event hugely under-estimated as a parental resource I think.

ahundredtimes · 28/01/2009 19:31

I bloody love pork pies

SuperBunny · 28/01/2009 19:33

Good plan, ahundred. Will patch things up with him in a bit. I was desperately trying to avoid being shouty but that was not really what I was aiming for. Ah well.

Peculiar how, franny?

ahundredtimes · 28/01/2009 19:35

Yes do that, and if you can avoid the 'the thing is I do get tired, and I DO need for you to rest you see so we all feel better and blah de blah de blah too much talking, making no sense, sounding hysterical again' line then you'll be a better woman than I and I'll give you a gold star.

Okay. I ate some food. About a 6 I think.

Why peculiar? In what way? Are you getting exzema?
