For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

100! Just the person! What would Anne do? See my school trip dilemma about 10 posts down please....

ahundredtimes · 21/01/2009 19:23

I'm not even here Molly! Hang on

mollyroger · 21/01/2009 19:24

and he's gorgeous

SuperBunny · 21/01/2009 19:25

I meant collard greens. Not greens with collars

I do not fancy Obama, but he is quite lovely

SuperBunny · 21/01/2009 19:26

Go swimming, pink

raisins (again)

SuperBunny · 21/01/2009 19:27

I probably wouldn't say no if he begged me but I wouldn't offer.

ahundredtimes · 21/01/2009 19:27

Anne would probably abide by the rules - Anne IS ALL ABOUT the rules. But if you really, really know that everyone is taking stuff, then pop some in. When DS1 went last year he told me with great authority that everyone was taking sweets - after research this proved to be an utter lie. So. . .

Where they go the food is amazing though, he says. Cooked breakfasts and cups of tea - he couldn't believe it.

I've not helped much have I? It's maybe because I'm not here. Talk to seven parents, do what they are doing. Seven is magic number - Anne says.

SuperBunny · 21/01/2009 19:27

Obama, I mean

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 21/01/2009 19:27

collard greens? eh?

mollyroger · 21/01/2009 19:28

...and what would 100 do..?

(not quite happy with Anne's answer )

ahundredtimes · 21/01/2009 19:31

Probably not put any in tbh. I haven't so far. I think he gets enough to eat where he goes, I know he does. But then again he takes £2 a day, and there's a vending machine. . .

Give him more money and he can visit their 'healthy' shop? Your place sounds positively spartan compared to where he goes!

ahundredtimes · 21/01/2009 19:33

I'm really not here. I have forsaken talkboards for a bit. I was searching 'mild aspergers' here though, and then I thought 'ooh I wonder what happened to TooT at her meeting' because I came across her old thread of the same, and I like her dd1. It's dangerous like that MN isn't it?

ahundredtimes · 21/01/2009 19:35

Also TooT - would it be bad if one night you scooped up all the dirty dishes, like all of them, and washed them and dried them for the morning? Would that help with the washing-up?

SuperBunny · 21/01/2009 19:36

Where's he going, molly? I honestly think he will get plenty to eat. But if you are worried send some, as long as he knows he may get caught and may get in trouble, not just with teachers but with the house staff too.

ahundredtimes · 21/01/2009 19:36

Right. Really, really am orf for a bit. Be good veggers, you are all in my fruity thoughts.

SuperBunny · 21/01/2009 19:37

Toot, is there something wrong with him? I mean, people don't do that by choice, do they? Not usually.

mollyroger · 21/01/2009 19:38

Bye 100....I've given up forums too.

How the fuck did I get here???

SuperBunny · 21/01/2009 19:39

Why does F&V not fill me up? how can I be eating so much of it yet still be hungry? And why do I want to eat bread all the time? Is there a reason for all this?

mollyroger · 21/01/2009 19:40

SB, it's not about the food really. I'm not worried he's going to die of starvation.
It's more that it would be fun for him to have midnight feasty illicit goodies.
I'm bad, aren't I?

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 21/01/2009 19:41

WHAT ARE COLLARD GREENS? I'm not taking the piss, I really don't know

You want bread (carbs) because it is cold outside.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 21/01/2009 19:42

I don't mean to be shouty!!

SuperBunny · 21/01/2009 19:42

It would be fun if indeed everyone else is doing it. But it will be less fun if he gets bollocked and has it confiscated. And, ime, after the first night or so, they are so knackered from all the activities, they go to sleep fairly quickly anyway and struggle to get up the next day. But you have to do what feels right for you.

mollyroger · 21/01/2009 19:44

Oh I think I know it would be a bad idea. You lot are just too darn reasonable

womblingalong · 21/01/2009 19:48

Molly,

def send the tuck, that's what being a kid is all about, midnight feasts and stuff, go on, you know you want to...

SuperBunny · 21/01/2009 19:49

Sorry - I am speaking as a teacher. It would be different if it were my baby

Hope he has fun, whatever you decide
