For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

How awful, FK. I don't know what you could say, except maybe that while it is very kind of them, receiving a poem is something you might do in a relationship therefore as you are just friends it makes you feel uncomfortable. Gawd, I'd be bad at it.

I suppose I could put up phots. Would you really be interested? It's just a mess really!

Guadalupe · 22/01/2009 18:46

I wish I could draw on a post because then I could draw the end of kitchen options and you could help me decide. Because that would be thrilling for you all of course.

FrayedKnot · 22/01/2009 18:47

Oh yes, exactly that, I would love to build vicariously.

I have always wanted either to buy a wreck and do it up or build a house. DH is so totally uninterested though, I don;t think it will ever happen.

Mm, yes, I feel like ignoring the situation but I think I will have to say something.

Guadalupe · 22/01/2009 18:47

I don't know if he is that hot, Pink, I kept trying to look round the corner but he was busy banging.

I had to talk to the older and ever so slightly rounder but very nice two.

FrannyandZooey · 22/01/2009 18:50

oh FK that is v hard indeed
if you can be very straight about it i would
eg: i very much value our work relationship and respect you for your xyz but i am not interested in anything other than friendship / a professional relationship. thank you for understanding.

maybe write it or email it?

Ah, I see, you want to experience or realise through imaginative or sympathetic participation in the experience of another, namely me. I just googled remembered.

Guadalupe · 22/01/2009 18:57

Franny - that is good. My gp said no way can huge enormous dairy proteins get through to my breast milk. The consultant allergist said oh, yes, of course they can. We've known that for years.

SuperBunny · 22/01/2009 19:02

Hello mymamama

Yes, the star/ planet is on its own - I couldn't see any others out the other night, just that one. I used to know stuff about stars but I don't any more. You can't even see much here because of all the light pollution.

Artichoke hearts, olives, fire roasted pepper makes SEVEN

Guadalupe · 22/01/2009 19:02

I will try and organise some before and after photos. I'm not very good at uploading them and I haven't got a picture trail thingy. I would link to the house so you can see how it is now but I don't really want to do that on here.

Guadalupe · 22/01/2009 19:04

Oh yes, food, I always forget about the food.

Luch was celeriac, carrot, parsnip and ginger soup and dinner was tikka salmon with brown rice and courgettes, cabbage, mushrooms, peppers and carrots with leftover two shaped biscuits for pudding.

mollyroger · 22/01/2009 19:06

Guad, can you not make us all mumsnet mates and do a profile photy so only we can see?

please come and admire my poem, I am very pleased and this is an ace thread!

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 22/01/2009 19:06

I could not give up cheese. I adore it. Apart from that Stinking Bishop shite. I like strong and smelly cheeses, but that really is rank. Saying that, if I had to I guess would. ramble, ramble, ramble ....

Anyway, so far

whole grapefruit (2)
banana
oj
carrot
humous
cauliflower
olives
tomatoes

My MIL is most impressed at my 10/10 and she has taken up the challenge too. Luckily she doesn't know about MN

SuperBunny · 22/01/2009 19:08

FK, what an odd poem to be given. Do you not want to type it out so we can all read it? Thought not - I don't know how to deal with this, I'm afraid. Presumably he/she knows that you are happily with DH?

Guadalupe · 22/01/2009 19:11

Yes, I could, Molly. I hadn't thought of that. I will do some later.

SuperBunny · 22/01/2009 19:11

I do need a planisphere. I used to have an ace I Spy in the night sky book but I don't know where it is now.

I was wondering about Venus - you often see it very early in the morning (hence being referred to as the morning star)

I really want to cut out cheese but I just had pizza. I have cut down a LOT and barely eat any but I seem unable to cut it out completely.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 22/01/2009 19:14

FK - firmly but kindly tell the person you are not interested. I have had a situation like this at work and was too nice and didn't deal with it right from the start. It then escalated out of all proportion and it all went the way of the pear.

ChugtasticCrew · 22/01/2009 19:20

Hello, I just wanted to say (having grumbled last month about your rude title...think I was Gaspod then) I LOVE your new title.
