For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

what about goats?

they have those evil eyes also
and horns and cloven feet - i mean, the symbolism is obvious
when we visit farms and things i pretend to like them but secretly -

let's change the subject

oh sorry that meant what abpout goats were they harmed in the making etc

i like soya milk, i don't drink actual cow juice
only solidified and congealed versions

FrannyandZooey · 20/01/2009 10:34

[weary]

you demanding veggers

TigerFeet · 20/01/2009 10:43

congealed & solidified cow juice is pretty damn good though isn't it [unhelpful]

Am surviving on cheese butties atm. THey do have piccallili on them though (1 portion f&v)

It seemed to me that all the chickens in last night's productin were those squeaky rubber chickens that dogs like to chew. Or perhaps muppet chickens. Nothing with any actual feathers on. No need to fret

Goats cheese comes straight from hell.

FrayedKnot · 20/01/2009 11:52

You have all Gone West

Was up pretty much all last night with poorly DS, who by 6.30 had perked up and was demanding breakfast

He has flopped a bit again now

I hope everyone else is fairing better

Good luck at school meeting TooT.

Just be honest, would be my probably totally inadequate advice.

littlerach · 20/01/2009 12:12

god, I go to owrk and miss out on all your fun

I would like a goat in the garden actually.

Fran, I gave up cheese a few weeks ago and have managed resonably well. Lapsed with cheesecake at the weekend though.
It sis good for weight loss too.

Hope school was ok TooT. I can understand her not wanting to go. Both schjools are horrid here I think!

I am writing yesterday off as all I ate was 2 bowls cereal and 2 pieces of taost
And grapes.

Today, soup (carrots, celery and sweet potato)
raisins
grapes
pear

FairLadyRantALot · 20/01/2009 12:43

I am sorry, I was gonna read from the page where my last post it, but after going back 5 pages, and still only being at Monday 6pm....well, I would never get through all those, as must do some study in a moment! research the conditions we deal with within hand therapy!
Anyway, can anyone summarise the "important" bits since Sunday evening, please?

As for me, am fine! Had another good day on Placement yesterday!

F&V yesterday:
1 Banana
1 Apple
lots of Grapes (red and green) about 4 portions
Mushrooms/Tomatos/Spinach/Onion/Peppers (in homemade sauce) about 3 portions
2 clemetines

(10 portions...wow...didn't realise I had that much, tbh )

Today a meager start though!
Tomatoes about 2 portions...ooops!

Have a heart you lot.

'Important bits' FairLady, rofl, is there a scale for talking rubbish incessantly then?

Placement sounds very positive....so pleased for you.

I am sort of off for the afternoon and am waiting for a visitor.

Juice,
pears
sultanas
tomatoes
satsuma,
plums (delicious)

Poor DS, TF, hope he improves as the day develops.

Trying to resist the temptation to sit down properly as I fall asleep if I do

TooTicky · 20/01/2009 13:09

Oh, lots of lovely people

Firstly, thank you for all good wishes. Meeting at 3.45. My nice clean respectable jeans are bemuddied due to a small friendly dog

Franny, you are absolutely bloody marvellous and you made me you smuggo middle class tosser you
My goodness, it is like Franny Concentrate on paper - the internet dilutes you somewhat

Where was I?

Oh yes.

100x, the school do know the situation
I thiunk it's one of those formality sort of things but I am worried about looking like somebody who stays up all night and generally unsuitable. Must make sure dd2 is clean-faced and shod when we go. Oh, and I mustn't be late.
Can't talk behavioural things because dd1 will be there too, as requested by school.

TooTicky · 20/01/2009 13:09

Hey Feather

TinyWhiteFeather · 20/01/2009 13:10

Hi, I thought you were out?

TinyWhiteFeather · 20/01/2009 13:11

Did you see Molly has suggested that you forward me her mobile number...would you ever so kindly please?

TooTicky · 20/01/2009 13:12

No, should I be? [worried]

TooTicky · 20/01/2009 13:12

of course
shall I put it on fb chat?

FairLadyRantALot · 20/01/2009 13:13

lol Tiny....well there is that!

TooTicky · 20/01/2009 13:15

or text it?

Guadalupe · 20/01/2009 13:15

Franny - if you are going to see if makes a difference, then it makes sense to cut it out completely for two weeks to observe. Otherwise you will just not really be sure, and you need to be sure. The last thing you want to do is to be endlessly trying to cut down on cheese if you don't actually need to.

Some people have no success with it. It was very clearly completely gone when I completely cut it out. You almost can't believe it, then you eat it again and it comes back. It's worth a go. I wouldn't confuse it with goats/ewes initially either. Just avoid it, and then reintroduce.

100x - you can get behind me in the queue. I am still waiting for a sticker for my crack of dawn runs.

TooTicky · 20/01/2009 13:16

has your visitor arrived?

TooTicky · 20/01/2009 13:17

oh and Franny, you do NOT need dairy stuff in cakes! The very idea.

littlerach · 20/01/2009 13:18

I am v impressed, dawn runs sound like hell.

TooTicky · 20/01/2009 13:20

AND Franny, you are not allowed to apologise or I will send you photos of loofahs
So there

TooTicky · 20/01/2009 13:21

I keep thinking I see a post sayoing that FK was up all night but when I look for it it is not there. Are you okay FK?
