For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Sorry to hear your respective ds's are struggling Lully & Molly wish I had something to suggest.

lolol @ "whose poo is that?"

I have been asleep most of the day. Sleeping during the day feels so very decadent. Time to emerge from pit htough [sigh].

TooTicky · 19/01/2009 16:10

I love you all

Lully, sorry it is hard. He is obviously such a fabulous little boy. And why the hell should he miss his play time?

Fmv, good luck. My ds2 is so desperately overwrought atm I don't know what to do for/with him.

Feather, I didn't know about the stealing. Have similar ishoos here but too many literate eyes about to elaborate.

Oh Franny, the poo!

Yes yes yes to meet up with hugs!!!!!!

TF, glad you have slept.

LR, shall we have a wee small scale practise?

TooTicky · 19/01/2009 16:13

Dd1 made pizza at schiool and is feeding me

TooTicky · 19/01/2009 16:25

Feather, you needn't do a separate thread.

TooTicky · 19/01/2009 16:27

I am positively stuffing myself. I fear it is that or fall over.

BBBee · 19/01/2009 16:28

(am not here - was having a sneaky lurk whilst brain got cross with work stuff)

TIGER - have you tried those accupressue wrist bands meant for sea sickness? I am the least lentilly person where these things are concenred but someoen so adamant bought them for me and they did help.

I would post them to you but I lent them out and never saw them again.

worth a try?

TooTicky · 19/01/2009 16:37

Guadalupe · 19/01/2009 17:23

Hello Lully - sorry to hear about ds. He sounds great though.

Molly and SB - I do apologise , I took your advice, sb, and went for green Karen Millen dress. It's very heavy and thick so good for winter. Wore charcoal heels and a pale blue boiled wool coat that looks like I am about to wave off my evacuees. Everyone else was wearing a dark overcoat so I felt a bit conspicuous at first but I think people was staring at architecture more than clothes. The ceiling in the chapel was staggeringly beautiful, like deep carved coral or ivory or something. This chapel is for the bath order and friend's father is a knight of the bath order, that's why they had a ceremony there. I asked!

I am having OB's chilli halloumi pittas for dinner with loads of salad. I am looking forward to it very much. I LOVE halloum, despite Boco trying to put me off it with her talk of solidified sweat.

mollyroger · 19/01/2009 17:33

yay! green! I bet you looked fab and stood out in a good way

TooTicky · 19/01/2009 17:42

Oh I'm really sorry I typed the wrong thing earlier. Sorry habit. Does it warrant deletion or will it pass? If anyone thinks it should go then do it.

Sorry

TooTicky · 19/01/2009 17:46

I am so cold all of a sudden. Warm hug anybody? [plaintive]

SuperBunny · 19/01/2009 18:00

I need help! Sorry for barging in and not reading thread - need opinions...

DS was dropped off by his dad this morning. His Dad said, "DS fell last night and hurt his foot"

DS couldn't stand on it, wanting to be carried, he crawled to the bathroom, sat in the trolley at the grocery store (he always always gets a baby trolley and pushes that).

He isn't in agony, but he can't put all of his weight on the foot (although can do it better when I am not watching ) and the top of the foot is blue and swollen. Today is a bank holiday so if I need to take him somewhere, it has to be the ER.

WWYD?

I would get him checked out to be on the safe side. Ouch

TooTicky · 19/01/2009 18:07

What time is it SB? It's not nearly tomorrow is it? Sorry, can't keep track.

SuperBunny · 19/01/2009 18:07

Have reath thread now

Lully, your DS sounds lovely. Challenging in a class of 30 but not shocking.

Guad, I thought you weren't eating cheese? You know, Halloumi is cheese, don't you? I love Karen Millen.

Toot, are you ok?

LOL @ Poo.

HHmm. This is where nhs direct is actually useful.

SuperBunny · 19/01/2009 18:08

It's lunchtime - he's having a nap. I really don't want to sit in the ER

TooTicky · 19/01/2009 18:09

I think I'm just hitting second wind. Should be fine by bedtime

TooTicky · 19/01/2009 18:10

But if you got worried later and took him then it might be full of drunks.

TooTicky · 19/01/2009 18:11

Sorry, thinking aloud. Possibly unhelpfully.

Maybe somebody wise will turn up soon...

Boco · 19/01/2009 18:14

SB isn't your ER the one where Dr Kovac works? In which case I'd take him.

Hello!

Have been catching up - I didn't know TF was pg! Congratulations!

Sorry school is stressful Lully, hope things settle down - he sounds great.

3 weeks off mn and I seem to be using a lot of exclamation marks!

TooTicky · 19/01/2009 18:15

Boco

Guadalupe · 19/01/2009 18:18

Hello, Boco. See, I speak of sweaty cheese and you pop up.

SB - er, I haven't exactly stuck to the no cheese thing recently, but I am running at the crack of dawn. No-one has given me a sticker for that.

I don't know what you should do about the foot. I think maybe get it checked out. It will be annoying waiting but you will feel bad if it's broken.

Boco · 19/01/2009 18:18

Right. I had home made carrot and coriander soup for lunch. I'm making home made korma for dinner. I've had a cooking breakthrough since cutting down on tinternet, it's been vegtastic, you'd all be very proud.

Toot, you seemed to have been baking in the middle of the night!
