For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Hello! I didn't have any dinner. Unless you count a big chocolate cookie. Oh and I only had 2 bits of toast for lunch. That's not very good is it

Avi, don't go. Molly, glad you're back - I was about to come and haul you off FB onto here. Is Boco off too? And Idris seems to have left us

I've got a house full tomorrow. 4 friends with 3 children dd's age plus 2 babies and 3 of us have bumps!!

Just waiting for washing to finish then I'm going to bed. Hope you're all well and if you have piles that they're organised

SuperBunny · 18/01/2009 21:28

Oh Avi, I'm glad you have time to work on leaving us

This talk of eczema seems to have aggravated my hands and it really hurts and is cracked and yucky. I want it to be fixed

Headache

Will have to catch up tomorrow

6 months old, wow.

I've been thinking about soup and smoothies and what counts. I think there is probably a heirarchy in terms of nutritiousness and the more you mess with food the less good it is. But I think even soupified veg and smoothies are so packed with goodness you couldn't not count them. The thing with juice is that the fibre has gone, which is what Franny always tells us, isn't it?

ahundredtimes · 18/01/2009 23:09

carrot
parsnips
onion,
swede - in a sou[

cabbage
carrots
peas
rhubarb
apple
banana
watercress
tomato

how many is that? HOW MANY? I might have done it you know.

I read some thread, not all sorry, it's too long. TooT you are marvellous, and we'd all love big children who rush about doing the washing up and picking up their coats and making us cups of tea, but, hey, the fact they don't doesn't mean we are crap.

Also Molly, that's nice, and long time no see.

And that's it really.

Anyway, I ate food.

ahundredtimes · 18/01/2009 23:11

Also I like the sound of Playful Parenting v. much indeed. Does it include telling jokes? I realized the other day that a scary amount of my parenting relies on humour. Not sure that's quite right, can be a bit uncertain making I think.

ahundredtimes · 18/01/2009 23:12

Oh and thanks for bird alert too, I skipped that bit.

Nobody is here. I ate food too fgs. All for you, I did it ALL FOR YOU.

SuperBunny · 19/01/2009 00:03

SuperBunny · 19/01/2009 02:18

Who is Playful Parenting by? There are two books with the same name at my library and they seem to be very similar.

OP posts:
TooTicky · 19/01/2009 03:20

WOW SB, that looks good! I adore coconut.

100x - do you want a sticker? I shall leave a memo for Pink

Okay Avi, we'll let you off joining fb if you'll stay here......although you must admit scrabble is fun....

Franny, glad glowy lady is on the up. Sympathies over the chewed feeling.

Have worked out that I have done over 10 years bf
Not solidly though. Not quite.

FairLady, I like the cugglelog

FK, hope you sleep well.

Pink, eat properly.

Is that everybody?

TooTicky · 19/01/2009 03:21
