For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

TooTicky · 19/01/2009 04:55

and making bread of course

TooTicky · 19/01/2009 05:24

and I will have no excuses for being disorganised this morning...

TooTicky · 19/01/2009 06:05

I'm sure there are usually people here at this time

Stuffit?

Mango?

Still, at least Feather is sleeping. Well, I assume she is.

TooTicky · 19/01/2009 06:23

I am starting to feel quite surreal.
Dd2 and I are making lemon cakes.

TooTicky · 19/01/2009 06:42

Dd2 wants to know why you don't all come to our house. She says you could come by aeroplane.

TooTicky · 19/01/2009 07:06

YOU ARE ALL GOING TO OVERSLEEP AND MISS EVERYTHING

I have made pizza, cakes and bread.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 19/01/2009 08:01

Toot - how on earth do you function on that much sleep? I tip my hat to you.

Franny - I will send you my address. I can't believe your ds is 6mo already. I can remember the overdue thread you started lol.

Oh, and I meant to say yesterday that I love peas. They are one of my favourite veg.

TinyWhiteFeather · 19/01/2009 08:15

Lemur...if toot is anything like me she gets hyper-tired like a toddler and could be plugged into the national grid!

I sort of slept Toot but was actually too comfortable to get up for a change, and sometimes it is nice to look at the time and think you can stay in bed for a bit longer.

One of my early morning jobs today though so was still up at 5.15.

Have you got a landing strip Toot?

Guadalupe · 19/01/2009 08:48

I was up at 6am, Toot, but I went for a run. It was pouring with rain. Can I have some lemon cake?

Yesterday was lovely. We got an hour in the London museum, the fire of london exhibition was good but they were missing a vast amount of the cheapside hoard which was disappointing.

We got changed at the Aviva office where dh works and we went in the lift that goes from 1 - 30 floors in three seconds and it feels WEIRD, like a spaceship or something. We could see all of london nearly but when dd said ' if you look down, mummy, it feels like the glass is going to disappear so I stopped looking.

We drove straight in the abbey so it was all very easy and relaxing and they said don't worry about toddlers climbing on the tomb of king wotnot as they can't come to any harm, so it wasn't at all stressful and I didn't need the bag of distractions that'd brought. The service was strange though, I always find it odd that something celebrating a new baby speaks of hellfire and the devil before handing the baby a candle saying now they have come from the darkness to the light.

Dd expressed her annoyance that she has never been christened from the moment we got there, and at this point she looked at me and said, 'oh, so I have to stay in the darkness do I?', and glared with arms folded.

Then I drank far too much champagne at the chelsea hospital but this was necessary as I find it hard to air kiss posh people with a straight face otherwise. There were bilinis and sandwiches and delicious little snacks and the cake was a triumph of lemon sponge and jam and what looked like every animal from the ark on the icing and iced gingerbread rabbits and bees. I miss my friend. I wish she lived closer.

TooTicky · 19/01/2009 08:58

Landing strip? we have a long thin garden but it's not very flat.
There is an airfield not far away...

Lemur, this is most unlike me actually. I normally, well until recently, sleep well and long.

Feather, I am holding your fluffy bits.

TooTicky · 19/01/2009 09:00

Oh Guad, I do like your dd
I remember she seemed quite spirited when I met her.

mollyroger · 19/01/2009 09:01

lol @ dd Guad, I have similar discussions with mine. I tell them that if the want to be christened they can. but they will have to go to church. a lot. That usually dshuts them p.

sounds like a lovely weekend. HAving caught up with thread, what did you wear in the end? [shallow]

I woke up to wind and rain and darkness and very stiff and cold - i had to sleep in ds1's room on the floor as dh was snoring so badly And i didn't want to get up and go to work, then lovely radio4 told me it was Gloomy Monday (Blue Monday!) where statistically it is the crappest day of the year So now I feel better as I refuse to be a statistic....

I DO have to go to work though....

TooTicky · 19/01/2009 09:02

Oh, that is spirited in a good way. I never use spirited to be snide about children. I liked her, I really did.

Guadalupe · 19/01/2009 09:05

Spirited, yes, that's one way of putting it, Toot.

Molly! I have missed you. I could tell dd that but then she would probably want to go to church a lot. Sometimes she talks about the assembly or something and says it's so annoying that we have to keep an open mind because she wants to believe in the god of this country like Lydia.

Guadalupe · 19/01/2009 09:06

Toot, have a chamolime tea.

Guadalupe · 19/01/2009 09:06

chamolime? I have invented a new tea. It sounds rank.

TooTicky · 19/01/2009 09:07

Aw Molly, what a night!
I like that you are defying Gloomy Monday though.
Reminds me of my grandmother - she always used to travel on Friday 13th.
Apart from anything else, the trains were never full
And she never wore shoes...

BBBee · 19/01/2009 09:08

oh guad - it sounds divine - lik something form a film in the twenties or something (my history is most poor). What lovely times people are having in the metropolis these days. Am going there next weekend for natural hisotry museum and see my sister.

Hope all is good and peaceful with veggers.

happy mondays...
