For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Hello. Can I come in to the Village Hall? (is not a yurt, oh no) I need some veg company. DP dropped our dinner all over the floor. My food to alcohol ratio very bad. The children won't go to bed. I have cigarettes. Not good vegging.

fishie · 31/12/2008 22:23

it was tapas. what i'd planned was entirely meat so i redid it with tomatoes and mushrooms and onions and all of them had garlic. and so did some of the meaty things so wooooooooooof.

BBBee · 31/12/2008 22:24

yay!

tell more about the dinner dropping - was it accidental and comedy style?

(there are now strange hugging rules so I am giving you a (((hug with manly back patting))

fishie · 31/12/2008 22:25

food on floor? was it pickupable?

BBBee · 31/12/2008 22:26

have you eaten anything? have to had to make a strange beans, pasta and marmite type cupboard meal?

Boco · 31/12/2008 22:27

It was beef casserole, that had been cooking for hours. It was at the dumpling adding part, a big crash, stew everywhere. I suppose it could have been comedy if we weren't counting on eating it.

BBBee · 31/12/2008 22:30

oh boco that is so not comedy - are you doing sulking?

fishie · 31/12/2008 22:31

boco i wish you were a bit closer to dear old east london. i had far too much food and dh kept saying "it would be better if there were some more people here why can't we have people round"

well all our friends have moved away.

Boco · 31/12/2008 22:33

I was. A bit. But then I opened alcohol and drank it quite fast. I'm not sure how to put these children to bed though. They're making things. With those really annoying tubs of straws and pom poms - it's all everywhere and I've forgtoten how to make them do things. Random barking not working. [resigned]

Boco · 31/12/2008 22:34

Ah that's nice fishie, thank you.

We did make a lot of mashed potato instead, so we had some tea.

BBBee · 31/12/2008 22:36

Boco · 31/12/2008 22:39

I love dolcelatte

Do you think there's any chance they'll fall asleep while making? I wonder if that'd be dangerous. They have such STAMINA.

Guadalupe · 31/12/2008 22:39

My cildren are up and wtching meet the fockers. I think it Is Not Appropriate.

Boco · 31/12/2008 22:40

Guadalupe · 31/12/2008 22:40

I have wheat ovals for the dolcelatte and mini salty crachers for the stilton and digestives for the camembert with cranberry sauce.

Guadalupe · 31/12/2008 22:41

Boco · 31/12/2008 22:42

Boco · 31/12/2008 22:43
