For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

{{{Tigerfeet)))

Sorry to hear things aren't going well at the moment

Especially the job front, you have had bad luck over recent years, you deserve to have a good break...praying a wonderful part time job awaits you around the corner.

As for your DH's parents, sorry they are the strangest people I have ever met and I am not surprised you find them difficult to deal with, a saint would !!!

DS and DD loved their christmas presents and I have several pictures of DS in his

Give me a call when you have a minute and we'll catch up. I'll be around for an hour or two tonight but as DH forgot to buy me beer, I only have one small cider and will properly take wingey baby to bed then

BBBee · 31/12/2008 22:00

i am back - sorry about that hugging thing by the way.

dp has gone to bed in a similar fashion to FK DP (although i was less sympathetic) so i have 2 excited dcs and no alcohol apart from a bottle of champagne that you cannot open alone for the sake of a glass can you.

BabiesEverywhere · 31/12/2008 22:02

BBBee, Of course you can see the new year in with a bottle of champers, I insist you open it

Guadalupe · 31/12/2008 22:02

Tatties - it's too late! It was a perfectly mixed Hendricks with fever tree tonic and a squeeze of lime. I couldn't resist.

Why have we got blu tack? Are we sticking up pictures?

Guadalupe · 31/12/2008 22:04

We'd finished the champagne by 8pm.

New year, new start, less wine less pate and the gym!

FrannyandZooey · 31/12/2008 22:04

yes we are decorating the place
can we have that tennis bird scratching her arse?

FrayedKnot · 31/12/2008 22:06

I have just remembered a funny phone call earlier

I answered phone, thought it was one of my aunts.

I launched into huge waffle about did she have a nice Christmas, then told her what we were doing and thanked her for DS' christmas present and after about 10 minutes she said

"Er..I've just realized I meant to phone my sister-in-law and you are not her"

and hung up

Guadalupe · 31/12/2008 22:06

No

BBBee · 31/12/2008 22:07

look i really don;t think we are allowed to use blue tack- think of all the redecorating.

(see this is why it should be a yurt)

Guadalupe · 31/12/2008 22:07

Lol, FK, she could have stopped you earlier!

Franny - Scratching bum is not attractive.

BBBee · 31/12/2008 22:07

and if it is a yurt we can channel midwives >

Guadalupe · 31/12/2008 22:08

blu tack comes off very well if you are careful

Guadalupe · 31/12/2008 22:08

eh? Why do we need a midwife?

BBBee · 31/12/2008 22:08

fk that is lovely though - aren;t you lovely.

FrayedKnot · 31/12/2008 22:08

I have Easter bunting. Will anyone notice?

BBBee pass the champers

Guadalupe · 31/12/2008 22:09

Yeah, Bee, pass the fizz you fucker.

BBBee · 31/12/2008 22:10

oh we just did midwife role play once when franny was bursting blooming and it was yurt like.

oh i am going all retro 10/10

but will stop it as it scares the new memebers.

Guadalupe · 31/12/2008 22:10

Sorry don't know what came over me.

FrannyandZooey · 31/12/2008 22:10

LOL fk

yes don't do that scary midwives thing again fgs

FrayedKnot · 31/12/2008 22:10

I think she didn;t stop me earlier because she couldn;t get a word in edgeways

Guadalupe · 31/12/2008 22:10

Oh yes, we did I remember now. I think we went a little off track.
