For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Ok, well if wine counts, then I think Grand Marnier truffles should. And then I can start today, because I've had 4 of those, and some sort of chocolate candy with a vague berry filling.

(Off to go figure out what a yurt is, so I will recognize whether I'm in one or not.)

naswm · 31/12/2008 20:15

yes what IS a yurt? follows doooney...

TooTickyDoves · 31/12/2008 20:16

Humph! Filth indeed. I'm not the one who stripped Bee and made her run up and down the stairs.

Nice flaps btw.

It can't be a hall because there are no clanking chairs and echoes.

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 31/12/2008 20:18

village hall

FrannyandZooey · 31/12/2008 20:18

See? All shiny echoes and not at all cosy. Plus you can't light a fire in there.

I like the snowy one

now, someone tell me, where does teh fruit and veg fit in here?

dooneygirl · 31/12/2008 20:22

Yes, well, being of the my family never took me camping, therefore I don't get it type and having been snowed in for almost two weeks, I pick village hall.

FrannyandZooey · 31/12/2008 20:22

mmmmmmmm
shiny floors

naswm

10 portions of it

naswm · 31/12/2008 20:23

SuperBunny · 31/12/2008 20:31

Dooney! Hello!

Why is Toot fiddling with Franny's flaps?

You just mention random F&V at the end of each post and you'll be ok.

Mango

SuperBunny · 31/12/2008 20:35

naswm, my msn crashed - I'm not deliberately ignoring you. I can't get back on

FrannyandZooey · 31/12/2008 20:35

SuperBunny · 31/12/2008 20:37

Erm

SuperBunny · 31/12/2008 20:39

Seriously, there was a mango. It was quite good until I got near the stone and it was a bit fizzy

naswm · 31/12/2008 20:46

Its ok SB I ought to go soon anyway
