For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I really feel for osba, apart from the loss there's the shock and awfulness of strangers ransacking your house -- must be so so dreadful.

stuffitllama · 02/01/2009 16:21

oh I don't look down Toot

TooTickyDoves · 02/01/2009 16:21

Yes it must. I can't imagine it.
I remember how horrid it was when someone stole my purse.

I'd better go and read or do bedtime or something

the children cooked their own bacon and eggs at 8 o clock and are now making their own hot water bottles

OsmosisFaLaLaLaLa · 02/01/2009 16:38

T'was Jim's yard. Lots of kit stolen which have to be replaced immedately and £8k cash which was for the kitchen. And he'll have to move premises immediately. About a £12k loss overall.

Still, at least we weren't there at the time. And they didn't come back for the rest last night.

On the up side, Jonathan Creek is on on demand. . Poor DH. I think a lot of forehead stroking will occur. It's only money, it's only money, it's only money.................................

Thanks for your sympathy and rage.

SuperBunny · 02/01/2009 18:15

This seems really inappropriate in lights of OB's posts and Franny's mum but the Lemur link made me laugh. Will have to rent the DVD for DS.
